  • Great technique. Thanks for the video.

I just don`t get how people come up with so many different names for an omoplata...

  • swift i tell you.

  • thats nice

  • nice instruction man! aweseome! you teach the way i like to learn. gota drill does small details into your mind!:)

  • Thanks for the excellent video, I like your teaching style. Very good key points give for mental notes.

  • Whether you use the omaplata or not I highly suggest experimenting with that knee across the hips style of half guard. It lets you pin your opponents hips in place, and controlling the hips is jiujitsu 101!

  • AWESOME!!!

half guard to side control!!! thats a sick ass move

  • Thanks for uploading this. I always get stuck in half-guard and don't have anything to do besides attempting to get the guard.

  • bad ass move!! imma try it..

  • how would u do this if ur in half guard and the guy on top just completly hugs u and u have no room to alide the knee? do u shrimp?

  • Yes, right forearm across his jaw to create some space for a hip escape out to the right side. Then the right knee in across the hip to maintain proper distance.

  • Ya that 80s music at the end did make the whole video worth it :)

  • if i had to guess, id say that was filmed at crazy88 :D

    very nice, mang

  • Impressive!

  • love the 80's music at the end.

  • i just learned to do the omoplata in my jiu jitsu class and its alittle tricky but its a good move

  • Thanks for showing possible counters and how to react to them. Very helpful!

  • nice.. you can actually do a gogoplata from there too.. awsome move

  • Very nice and well instructed!

  • Every technique should be illustrated in competition. (within reason)

  • yea thats a great touch

  • awesome showing it in competition

  • Good technique I always go for the underhook and get stuck in the Half Guard. Thnak"s for posting.

  • What a great technique. I always go to underhook in HG to go to the back. Everyone expects that from me now so that will be my setup for this move.

I like how you show that it actually works for you in competition too.

  • good move, great ending music

  • errrr...awesome

  • amesome ending music

  • Another great technique and awesome how you show it in use in competition.

  • Great technique that I can see fitting right into my game, Brad. Thanks for posting.

....I'm still better looking than you, though.

  • NICE TECHNI

  • Good instruction, good technique, great choice of music at the end.

  • nice vid and thanks for showing the actual application
