Hello Clayton & viewers of this video, I have a request and as this moving story appears to be a good place to reach the people I'm looking for, I hope it's okay that I post here.
I'm an actor & theatre practitioner in London, currently working on a verbatim project on the AMERICAN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM and needing willing participants to share their views & experiences. Please click my Channel for more info. I'm looking forward to hearing from you, Clayton, or any page visitor. Thanks.
Evidently, you didn't compare this gargantuan loss with the gargantuan BILLIONS the insurance industry is ripping off from people through denying them medical care. Which is more disturbing to you? Michael Moore saved our home. Insurance tried to put us into foreclosure. Which has more dead bodies...the real cost. Pick 'n' choose! C. Redfield
Evidently some of you didn't see 60 Minutes on CBS a couple of weeks ago. 60 billion dollars is stolen from Medicare each year through fraud.
Now some want government to run all of heathcare, at the cost of a trillion dollars!! A government which has a post office monopoly which constanly runs in the red, a government which allows billions to be raided from the Medicare program, and the government which allows pelosi to purchase a brand new Jumbo Jet with tax payer money!
... Michel Moore, i really would love to talk to that guy, he has got the balls and hopefully you all get what you and all deserve: UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE! Peace to all.
... I have lived in countries with universal health care and let me tell you all, it works, it works for everybody and those who say it doesn't is because they are from the U.S.A or gain profits from your own pockets. The only reason why i don't leave that company is because of the actual situation but once i find another job i am out of there. I am sorry for all who have suffered the pains of dealing with Aetna. If any wants to write to me or knows..
Ladies and Gents, i am ashamed by letting you all know that i am an unfortunate Aetna employee and i do feel your pain with the way you guys are treated... me myself got a shitty insurance through them and never go to the doctor, by saying that i have seen many member who frankly i do not even know how you guys managed to pay such high premiums, deductibles, and coinsurances. I do want to quit that shit place which only takes your money and makes your lives more miserable...
Reasons like this are why people need to contact Congress and tell them to pass the HR 676 bill (universal single-payer health insurance for all Americans)!! As long as we have profiteers (private health insurance CEO's and stockholders) the system is always going to deny and prevent health care. We need to put and end to the greed!!
Glad to hear everything worked out for you. Healthcare is difficult to manage these days. I would recommend everyone staying away from HMOs. What Michael Moore said in his video is true. None of my family memebers have an HMO and we are okay. We pay more, but we get the care we need. Again, congratulations to you.
Recently, I was admitted to a local hospital with chest pains, irregular heartbeat, and chest tightness. They ran tests on my, and I only stayed a night. The verdict? Magnesium deficiency! My bill was almost 10,500 for ONE night, and various tests!!! My insurance company won't pay a cent, and claims I got unecessary treatment and tests!!!
If you are uninsurable, have any pre existing medical conditions, and in need of a health plan in 24 hours for a low price call 1877-467-9970 ask for Ebony, she's really nice and she got me coverage for the low. I believe she's there in her office from 8:45am to 5:30pm M,T,F and 8:30-9pm Wed & Thurs.
congratulations, I'm delighted this has been sorted for your family. As a Brit who cannot comprehend a system where this would happen I was flabbergasted when I heard your story. Our National Health Service is a long long way from been perfect but most of us despite all its flaw are very proud of the idea behind it. Good luck to all our American friends who are fighting for universal health care over there so this disgraceful event, and others like it cease to happen
i saw the tonight show too and i am so happy that this long frustrating problem has finally been resolved for you. this ongoing problem with the insurance companies outrages so many people. it is unfair and the inaccurate insurance policies should be publicly shared so that other people can see how unjust it is. the work you are doing is worth it.
Michael Moore just mentioned your name on The Tonight Show. I was glad to hear the good news! My friend has diabetic retinopathy and was sent to the county hospital. He was a guinea pig for those learning laser treatment. Had his insurance co been a better group of human beings he probably wouldn't be legally blind now, and he'd still be working. Health care should not be a way for people who are not doctors to get filthy rich from others misery. Good for you Clayton!
On a side note, some argue that consumer buying power in fields like medicine will weed out the bad companies and force better practice. This is the reality. People wind up having to rely on filmmakers to save them from ruin.
I had a similar experience with Aetna 8 yrs ago. I had a silicone breast implant rupture and was given the same runaround that you were. It took 8 months to get the surgery which should have been emargency!
NEWS FLASH: Thanks to attaching my video to Michael Moore's site, after almost two years, Aetna settled the dispute within a week, Thanks Michael. POWER TO THE PEOPLE. Clayton Redfield
I really hope the Government does something soon about this issue. They should just get rid of those greedy insurance companies. In my view, if we keep electing greedy leaders, the country is going to stay the way it is.
I'm sorry about this. IHC in Utah screwed me out of 10,000 in medical expenses years ago. I often worry about reaching retirement age and facing thousands in medical bills that my insurance will not pay up-this video only confirms my fears. I have also considered retiring in Canada because of this. Our insurance in this country is a farce, and these people should burn in hell.
Sure, you can use it along with this one about the same story. Just google these words and the additional video will come up..."SiCKO - Flint Couple Says Moore Saved Home"

Get a new lawyer. Any *real* lawyer would simply collect attorney fees from Aetna. Sounds like the attorney is scamming you as well.
