Why is everyone hating Dean killing Amy? I sort of understand, sort of don't... She said she wouldn't kill anyone else. She did. Why do people dislike what he did so much when she has killed people too! He only killed her because of what she was doing to others. And don't say it's because her child was there, because he didn't even know. Just... why? There was clearly no other way to stop her murdering people :L
I think Dean learned a thing from that vampire that he and Sam let go back in season 2. The one who told them Eve's location and then admitted her group of vampires had fed. And eventually she had as well.

Kill me, but I agreed with Dean. I think he did the right thing. Monsters are not exactly reliable, now are they? How could he just trust her? If he did and she later killed someone innocent, how would Dean feel? How would you feel? Damn, Dean did what he thought was right. But he should have finished the job - he should have killed the kid. It is a monster too, and now it will have to kill to survive.
He had already trusted SAM when he (Sam) said she wouldn't kill and she DID kill, so that makes her pretty untrustable. As for the kid, I don't think even he could kill a child without it having already murdered someone :L

Okay, to all the people that say Dean made the wrong decision, was heartless, etc: Try being in his shoes. His mother was killed by a demon before he even really got to know her, his father died because of it, so he's lost both of his parents and then he watched his brother drink demon blood and almost strangle him, then he had to stand by and listen while Ben and Lisa were kidnapped by Crowely and then he lost them in the end due to their memories being erased. His anger is justified.
@fred7dre I think Dean sometimes acts like he's the only one affected by the problems that come up - like if someone dies, his grief/guilt has to be worse than anyone else's.
He was always written as a bit of an arrogant character, and this is part of that arrogance I think.... If you notice, he also doesn't seem
too pleased that Sam's doing ok dealing with his mental problems.

I can't say I'm sort of proud right now but, I love that Dean is starting to take after his father a lot more than he used to.In a good way.Sam took after John in a way also but, not as much as Dean of course because Dean was a little more closer to him, but the thing thats bothering me the most is that Dean might continue to do this to the point where his actions will take over him completely, he'll break as well.Something tells me this is just cupcakes compared to what he'll do next, or Sam.

dean is a hunter. he doesnt care if sam knows the person or creature, a hunter goes after whatever is killing. sam couldnt take out amy because she saved him when they were younger and she was his first love. sam has feelings for amy. but dean doesnt, and had no problem tracking her. i dont think amy's kid can take out dean. dean is a great hunter.

@TheSoniX91 I never stated that I "wanted" to see Dean kill a kid. Dean knew why Amy killed a person, it was to save her son. Other than that, she promised never to kill again. He should have trusted Sam, but then again with all the shit he is going through, and I feel empathy toward Dean for what he did. But this is what i am trying to say. Dean said to Amy, maybe 1 or 10 years, you will kill again, he couldn't take that chance. In 5-10 years, that kid will kill someone.
What Dean did is wrong, but he's suffering. His brother is on the verge of going insane, his best friend is "dead", and he just wiped away the memories of the people he saw as his family. At this point the man is probably fed up with life and these monsters for what they've done to him, and he figures the only way to cope is to take out every "son of a bitch he possibly can". Like father like son, I'd say. Dean's mistakes are gonna bite him in the ass in the long run.

I was angry with Dean at first, but looking back I understand why he did it. Look at what happen with the Rugaru or Lenore the vampire, I think Dean was just remembering past experiences and covering his bases. Still, Amy only started killing to save her son and showed no desire to feed herself. Lets hope Sammy never finds out about this. :(

I really hated Dean in this scene. For one he doesn't trust Sam's decision and killing a little boy's mother was something I never thought Dean of all people would do.

There was that Phoenix too. He was getting revenge on being wrongfully judged and 'executed', and was going after the person who RAPED and MURDERED his wife... see a problem there?
And Dean just shot him. (IMO an awesome gunslinger scene)

Maybe explaining what was happening later, Elias might have some intel on how to use his ability to kill Eve easier?
Or maybe I just sympathized with the character too much and was sad/pissed off when Dean didn't seem to give a shit about what had happened.

@HaloPokemon5Master The Phoenix might have been killed later on anyway and even if he did survive Eve could see through his eyes, hear what he hears and pop messages into his head - I don't think he would dare take her on. It's a bit daft of Eve to create a monster that can be used to kill her though.

Maybe he tried to bring his problems ahead of Castiel, but thats because Sam is his little brother! But Dean never talk about his problems, but he always tries to get Sam to talk about his problems.

Everybody is saying they are upset because Dean doesn't trust sam, but realistically, why should he right now? Sam's going through a breakdown and he's seeing lucifer, I wouldn't trust his judgement either. Sam always seems to give the benefit of the doubt to monsters and getting screwed. AKA RUBY! I can't say I'm sort of proud right now but, I love that Dean is starting to take after his father a lot more than he used to.In a good way.Sam took after John in a way also but, not as much as Dean of course because Dean was a little more closer to him, but the thing thats bothering me the most is that Dean might continue to do this to the point where his actions will take over him completely, he'll break as well.Something tells me this is just cupcakes compared to what he'll do next, or Sam.

dean is a hunter. he doesnt care if sam knows the person or creature, a hunter goes after whatever is killing. sam couldnt take out amy because she saved him when they were younger and she was his first love. sam has feelings for amy. but dean doesnt, and had no problem tracking her. i dont think amy's kid can take out dean. dean is a great hunter.

He should have trusted Sam, but then again with all the shit he is going through, and I feel empathy toward Dean for what he did. But this is what i am trying to say. Dean said to Amy, maybe 1 or 10 years, you will kill again, he couldn't take that chance. In 5-10 years, that kid will kill someone.

What Dean did is wrong, but he's suffering. His brother is on the verge of going insane, his best friend is "dead", and he just wiped away the memories of the people he saw as his family. At this point the man is probably fed up with life and these monsters for what they've done to him, and he figures the only way to cope is to take out every "son of a bitch he possibly can". Like father like son, I'd say. Dean's mistakes are gonna bite him in the ass in the long run.

Like I said before what Dean did was wrong but, he had a pretty good reason, and I think part of the reason of course was because of Sam.And if he didn't have faith in Cass or this woman.What makes us think he would have the same in Sam.He might have a little faith because he loves him but, not as much as he should.I know he's being more realistic now but, Dean owes it to him I believe.So far Sam is handling this well more than Dean thinks and needs to know that but, I still love the S.O.B. .

I was angry with Dean at first, but looking back I understand why he did it. Look at what happen with the Rugaru or Lenore the vampire, I think Dean was just remembering past experiences and covering his bases. Still, Amy only started killing to save her son and showed no desire to feed herself. Lets hope Sammy never finds out about this. :(

I admit what Dean did was somewhat wrong, I mean Sam has lied to Dean's face before but, I believe it was nothing like this.The reason I feel for Sam so much is because I feel he's being taking advantage of a little.He's the sweetheart, and some of them thinks they can get anything past him just like Dean.This will hurt Sam in many ways.Or maybe Sam might get a feeling because then again no one knows Dean more than Sam.Never underestimate the Winchesters.Especialy Sam if you know what I mean.

you know dean usually has a soft spot for kids as much as he hates to admit it so the fact he just killed the kids mom and asked him if he had somewhere to go and if he ever kills someone, he'll come back for him, with absolutely no emotion, with no feeling of sympathy for the kid, it came off a bit heartless, even for dean, it just seemed like a different dean, i think dean is just kinda fed up and is at the point where he's just gonna kill any creature in his path
