I have always loved Johnny Cash and Roseannes music as well. When you comapre this version to her studio version you can see the feelings she has coming thru in this live performance. You can feel her sadness and sincerity... and at the end how she chokes just a little with her lip quivering. Brings a tear to my eye everytime I watch it. I admire her so much for holding up so well when she must have been on the verge of breaking down.

I was priveleged to be there and see this live. The most moving version I have ever heard. She also did Tennesee Flat Top Box at the end of a "eulogy" to Johnny, as well as "September When it Comes", which was later presented as a video that you can see on YouTube

I first heard it years ago, on Joan Baez' "Joan Baez/5" album. Her version is beautiful, also. Rosanne's performance is so touching. It's obvious she's thinking of her father, and June Carter Cash as she sings it.

Had to come back to this video because I just saw her in Kent, OH and my whole family left weeping...it was so beautiful. Someone to cry with. Not to perseverate on her looks, but she made some crack about being middle aged and needing gel on the spotlight and let me tell you...no gel...the woman is a complete fox. No disrespect intended to a woman of her caliber. Our hearts go out to her on the loss of her parents.
