Not entirely, you most likely have 720p hd which is fine because the screen size isnt as big as some of the 60+ inch screens. But basically the game will still look the same because the screen size is roughly half, and so is the resolution.

Halo was a badass game now it's old, Gears 2 is more Gears 1.5 to be honest still good just not the great leap forward you would of expected.

I have played the beta of this and that alone is graphically superior to anything I have played on 360. Maybe Halo and Gears do have a better story, but for me it's always been the gameplay the multiplayer is stronger than COD4 and Halo 3 and makes Gears look weak. this game looks pretty sweet but as with most ps3 titles, they generally seem to be all hype and no substance. If this turns out be all that is promised then it could be a system seller. If the multiplayer is good, I would finally get a ps3 to play this and MGS4. Playstation needs to reinforce its online experience too, because right now it blows.

My experiences with the PS3 network have been dissapointing. First with laggy-ness that I have seen with Socom. I had High hopes for that game because I had so much fun with the other titles in that series. Also, files tend to take a long time to download, especially updates. A 120 Mb update for a game shouldnt take an hr to download especially when I have Fios. The Metal gear online was dissapointing, and I am upset that Live gets every exclusive DLC for all the games I own.

Uncharted used 40% of the CPU power. Uncharted 2 its said to be using much more. However Uncharted 2's graphics wont look that much better over 1.

The problem is, that its only got 256mb of graphic memory. Which is why the textures arn't really high rez.

Even though they said the trailer was "in game engine" the real game wont be that sharp.

As they were clearly running the 3d engine on pc hardware that had a fair amount of antialiasing turned on.

The ps3 ONLY has 256mb of ram for its gfx memory.

So it can only really use 256mb's for the textures in the screen buffer.

The other 256mb is used for the system and running the game code itself. System memory is also a lot slower than the graphics memory,so its crap for texture use

The 360 on the other hand has 512mb of ram total. Which is the same pool of memory which can be changed on the fly for system and graphics.

As for Uncharted2.The trailer has afair bit of AA running You will see!

The 360 simply has 512mb shared total, which it can allocate as much to graphics or system as the game developer chooses. But of course the 360 cant use the entire 512 just for graphics.... coz wheres the system and game code gonna go? Its just more flexible. Go read up on it if you want to know the technical side. And yeah call it bs, you will see when you buy the game. Its not gonna look at "sharp" as that trailer. Thats all im saying. The textures should be as detailed though!

However the PS3 usually has better lighting and volumetric effects.

Dont forget the PS3 has more CPU power than the 360.

It kind of all balances out though.

yes they will still bleed if you shoot them, not sure if their legs explode or whatever, and alot of the environment is destructable, obviously you won't be able to blow off walls completely, but you shoudl see chunks fall off from things such as pillars, and the destruction is proximity based
