wat about on a mac...cuz i cant get it to work with virual dj and the cd that came with the 5500 wont read on my mac neither...sux and idk wat to do to use it as a midi controller.

Second MAC DVD RECORDER = SHIT CANT READ SOME TYPES OF DUALAYER AND BLURAY and third the virtual DJ is wos from first for WIN xp and Win 98 sow on the amc system and softvare is not 100% compatible sow you are werry limited on MAC try to buy some normal HARDCORE PC and you will MIX with no problem

I have a question : the Denon DN-HS5500 can play two tracks at the same time (good feature), however, can you preview the seconde track in headphones before playing it ?? (Not sure)

yes,you need an external mixer,plug your headphones into the mixer,the unit has 2 outputs so its like having 2 cd players on your mixer.

yes its the same size as the denon s3500....i got two denon s3500 and they are great. these take it up a notch with features. they both are great moving platter tables though

just sold my 1200mk5's for these and behringer ddm4000 mixer,, and i've been a mix/scratch dj for 8 years,, and i can honestly say it was worth it,, i can still scratch close to what i could(ofcourse not as good as turntable for scratching), but mixing,, its anouther world,, highly recomend buying a pair,,

I don't understand the desire of some DJ's to resist upgrades and additions to their kit. I can only assume that they are afraid of having to learn new things. But all the top names have integrated digital into their sets, and folks like BJ won't be working in the game much longer.

why is pioneer is the standard in all the clubs? why is only couple video about this player and a lot more about cdj 400?

For the same reason there are more Technics and less TTXs in clubs - DJs are very often luddites when it comes to tech stuff, and afraid to try new things. Pioneer has great build quality, but the real reason they are the club choice is that they were first on the market with a deck-like controller, and competitors were too slow to issue a competitor. The thought that some pay $1200 for a CDJ1000mk3 versus $850 for this astounds me.

In Tiesto's, Sasha's, Hawtin's, and other's  opinions, which frankly are about 10x10^100 more valid than your rambling missive,vinyl is dead and buried for anyone except turntablists and bedroomers. Tiesto's last tour was vinyl-less, as was Sasha's. PVD and Hawtin are using either vinyl emulation or ableton.

The DN-S3500 is a great budget deck, not sure what you're talking about.

The 5000 (which I have, as a matter of fact) can play two songs, but not mix the two songs like this new deck.

spezzy...I made that statement cause I used to own not one, but 2 3500's.From the moment I opened them from out the box, I had nothing but problems. That's why I went the pioneer route.Yeah it's silly to pay all that money for a static player, but at least it does what it says.Very reliable player. The folks over at denon expected me to reburn my entire collection of cd's just to work with their crappy player(yeah right!!!)The denon 2600's & 9000's were very reliable. What happened?
