Well, she CAN hurt you, especially when she shuts the lights off and you have no idea where your going or where she is from except for where it's the most red on the viewfinder, so she's kind of a pain, but I feel bad for her too after reading the diarys she left.

No that's partially true but the real reason is that he knew that Sae was going to do the ritual without her sister and because she couldn't kill her sister as one half he knew that the ritual would fail. Thus if the ritual fails the village is cursed and the villagers walk amoung the village wanting to kill and harm people. But he knew to kill himself before hand so he wouldn't kill anyone, so that his soul would remain saved from the darkness that's the curse.

Yeah the reason why Itski hung himself was because he didn't want to be trapped in the Drakness and by the curse that is wht=y everyone attacks you. He knew what was going to hapeb abd didn't want be apart of it. He didn't know that Chitose was trapped or woul die, later on while she was hiding she was caught by the darkness and starved to death.

No Itsuki hung himself because he felt it was his fault for putting Yae and Sae through all this because he did do the ritual properly and failed, plus he failed to get Yae and Sae out of the village and Sae was going through the ritual and he couldn't take so he hung himself.

Chitose was hiding in the closet when the Repentance came, and the darkness with it, and she died there because she was too frightened to come out. That's why she makes the screen go black -- it's probably the last thing she remembers. Not a happy thought. Poor baby.

OMG yea, the first time I watched the end of Chapter 7 the cutscene, I was like OMG am I gonna have to run from Sae again? *shudders* then Mayu rushed in and I"m like WHEW... Running from Sae in the first part really unnerved me with all the tangled Tatami rooms.

When I get my Fatal Frame III up it's going to be kinda annoying at first, the controls for the camera are a bit different in that one, and I'm so used to Fatal Frame I and II controls so I kept pushing the wrong buttons xDD.
