Angel will always love Buffy. That is fact. Buffy was what spiked Angel's belief in humanity again. He had been alone for so long, and he so fiercely admired her talents and heart that he fell in love with her.

But the love was doomed because she could never fully accept him. And since he already hated himself, that made it worse. Their love was juvenile and mostly just passion. That's usually what first loves are.

But Cordelia gave him a home. They grew together. It was a mature love.

I love how people say Angel was better with Buffy than Cordelia, but then you have so many fans that prefer Buffy with Spike. I say you can't compare the two. David and Charisma had terrific chemistry and you could tell they enjoyed working together. Cordy went from a two-dimensional character on Buffy to a fully realized woman on Angel. Charisma was also a lot more like movie Buffy than SMG was. It made for a different dynamic. Joss had very little to do with Angel, so Angel/Cordy are unique.

angel didn't break up with buffy because he fell "in love" with cordy. that was a match that never looked right. they were more like friends to me. honestly, i never liked cordy from the start when she was on buffy. angel will always love buffy. i still think they could have made it work between them. look at bill/eric and sookie from trueblood.

Wow that was sad :-(. From watching Buffy and Angel from the beginning to the end it was always my belief that neither truly moved on from each other - Buffy tried a few times and cared about other men in her life but none of them ever got into her heart the way Angel did and well Angel - he never truly moved on, Buffy was it for him - the love of his life. Even though they tried to pair him with Cordy it wasn't there, it was more friendship than anything else. To me, Joss always made this clear

Angel DID lose his soul..he was put in a "dream" where everything was HAPPY and in that "dream" he had made love to Cordelia and lost his soul, so it wasn't really REAL, some ninja guy used magic to make him "believe" that all of these happy things are happening in order for him to become Angelus. So the "love" scene technically wasn't real. WATCH THAT EPISODE!

She did kiss him in his vampire form she did loved him but she could never fully get over the fact she was a vampire he used to be a killer. They loved each other but they knew it was doomed. He will always love her but I trully belive he is now more in love with the idear of being in love. But thats what I think it dosnt make it true

But I think Buffy accepted him just fine, you have to keep in mind Cordy knew that there was a chance at a human angel, Buffy never had that option. She was looking at her life with a man who could never aga, never go out in the day and never have kids. But she still wanted him anyways. And i think given the choice Angel would always choose Buffy because "No one ever mattered, not like her"

There's way too much hating going on in these comments. And for those of you who watch AtS, it's obvious that Angel was in love with Cordelia. To say Spike and Cordy are second best, is really stupid. Couples break up all the time and move on. It doesn't mean the people they love next are second best. JFC, grow up. Buffy/Angel were great while they lasted, but they broke up for a reason. Anyway, is video is AU, so get the hell over it.

I'm personally not hating on spuffy or cangel BUT I watch all of Buffy TVS and Angel series and also have half of both series on DVD.

Yes they fell in love with other people as they were apart BUT they still were/are in love with each other.

Why does someone have to 'grow up' just cos they believe that Buffy and Angel were the true soulmates of the show/s.

It is interesting to see these sort of vid clips and see others views on the couples BUT I know who I really believed in.

It's my believe that they are still in love. I think of the last season of Buffy TVS where Angel came in near the end of the series.

Buffy and Angel were the first couple I shipped (obesssively).

Talking about skins I actually brought the first season of the original cast today.

I prefer them to the new cast but still enjoyed watching the lastest series.

As for couple from both it would be original cast........ sid and cassie

new cast........freddie and effy.

I much prefer the old to the new. Cassie/Sid are my favorite hands down, but I love Tony/Maxxie too. Just the characters in general are great in that series. I don't really ship anyone from the third series, hopefully they'll make the relationships more likeable to me in S4.

It just never came accross on screen to me that way. People do break up and move on, Buffy did. Although she certainly still loved Angel, she just understood they couldn't be together and tried to move on with her life. But Angel and Cordelia were never in a relationship, and now she's passed away he's mourned her and moved on.

The thing is.. Joss Whedon doesnt allow true soul mates to be together. Buffy and Angel couldnt have eachother so they moved on to Spike and Cordelia. Willow couldnt have Tara, so she got Kennedy. Xander couldnt have Anya... it's all about second place! Angel will never be as happy with Cordelia as he would be if he had Buffy. Willow, Buffy, Angel, Xander, all of them lost their chance at TRUE HAPPY LOVE. Kennedy, Cordelia, Spike SECOND BEST they always will be. Angel/Buffy Willow/Tara Xan/Anya!

LOL! I love your hypocrisy here. Angel loved her (probably still does - not in the way you WANT), but he was always miserable with her. He may've loved Buffy first, but he loved Cordy last and there's a reason for that. Cordy is the one who made Angel who he was at the end of the series. Without her, he would've been alone in a dark room, having visions and going insane - with Buffy nowhere to be seen. The relationship they shared was passionate, but not built to last.

I so agree. When she died he completly lost without her. He didnt go all crazy the way he did in Birthday but he did go crazy in a sense. He was unraveling slowly until he decided to go to war with WWolfram&heart . In the first epitsode he says it all started with a girl refearing to Buffy. In the first comic in Angel the aftermath he says it all started with a girl but not this time with Buffy but for Cordy. He cant even talk about her because it is to painful. She was his true love.

Sorry, but Willow and Oz were not meant to last. One does not "turn" gay when their lover leaves them. Willow would have realized she wasnt like other girls sooner or later. Also, Oz cheated on her and left her without a second thought or a friendly goodbye.. In my eyes that makes him a horrible person. Plus, Willow said herself that Tara was her "Always" meaning a lot more than a passing phase like Oz was. Oz leaving and Tara coming into the picture was the best thing that ever happend to her.
