Please can you do a left handed tutorial, For everyone else in the world who can't do right handed!!! I'm right handed, but I always do left handed Gymnastics!!!?
round offs are easy i learned what the hell they are about 20 mins ago and all you have to do is cart wheel basically but then when your facing downwards push and turn just practise
my idiot stubborn friend thinks that you dont put your hand back and dose it like a kartwheel shes so stupid she cant even land a roundoff and she thinks she knows gymnastics better than me
I need feedback please: is this a good tutorial & did people actually learn off of this? Maybe it's just me because i'm physically disabled when it comes to gymnastics.. I just want to know if people actually achieved a round off
@TheDarkBlade2600 Lmfao what the hell are you on about?! He showed us whilst he was talking, he gave demonstrations with each step he took. So just stfu and watch. KAY BABE?
Yeah. I agree. Learn a cartwheel first. Also learn a handstand and practice doing the snap downs from reg handstands. It'll be easier to get it straight when u do it one step at a time and not all at once= too overwhelming
I`m a White Belt in Judo a Black Belt in Karate and Sensei of Black Lions . .............. a round off isn`t so hard but i suggest u learn to do cart wheels first. It well Help u a lot. Good luck ... email me at brandoncaines@yahoo.com If u need any answers or hepl
omg i cant do it coz when i get to the handstand stage, i cant put my legs together for some reason and i cant twist so i land facing front and i need a roundoff so i can learn a round off backflip for a breakdance routine, can anybody give advice plz :O
hi i cant do it pretty well but i can do the round off backhandspring but my round off before the backhandspring is ugly.. help plss oh and btw im always landing not back but half back.. sorry for bad english
i am trying to do roundof backhandspring but when i do round of i going in other side to left then i more like to do side flip or what XD but thanks man i hope it will work :D
I wish I had seen this tutorial earlier. I've been practising intensively in a gym for almost half a year, and couldn't get this one done propery. 5minutes after this vid I landed my first proper roundoff backtuck. Thank you :)
i can't believe this... i can do a perfect cartwheel , a one handed cartwheel , an aerial but i can't do a round off to save my life. I never land with both legs together.
what helped me the most is focusing on getting your legs together when your legs reach maximum height. I used to try getting them together as soon as they hit the ground, and never got a decent roundoff. Once I started getting my legs together when I reach the straight handstand(maximum height of legs), I got a much quicker twist, snap, and overall roundoff. hope this helps!
Thank bro, I like your tutorial. You really explain it with ease. I dunno why but I used to know how to do it somewhat...and do flash kicks and back tucks...but one day I fell and ever since my roundoffs suck. But I know what I'm doing wrong after watchin gyour vid. Thanx man!!
lol basic is harder then advance i learned a backflip but it took me a hard time to learn something so basic thx to this tut i can finally do a round off lay out
ummm i need help bc i did what u told me not to do and i have been doing a for a while, Im talking about the one when I do my cartwheel landing on two feet. But with the one that you told me to do i just dont know how im going to get into a handstand if i put my arm the way tha u showed
Can you please explain to me why my legs are always bent the whole way through the roundoff? im able to do a backflip after it but it just looks unclean and retarded lol
@rainbows123x pretty much as you round off, your shoulders are pushed in a bit. So as you bound off your hands, push and extend your shoulders out. I guess a way to describe it is as if your holding something heavy above your head, when just holding it, u let ur shoulders go down and relax, but when you wanna throw it off, you push them upwards to pop it up
@sk8boarder125 Sorry, I kinda explained this in a complicated way. It seriously isn't hard. Just takes practice and if its not good at first, just keep trying. We all start somewhere. If this video doesnt help, watch videos of round offs and rather than just listen to the instruction, examine the ppl as they do it and try to imagine the feeling of ur body as u do it. Then Replicate it
@sk8boarder125 its not difficult in the sense that being able to do it. It's difficult in the sense that it is hard to perfect. I have a standing back handspring tuck but I don't have a round off back handspring tuck because my roundoff is bad. If you didn't know a standing one is supposed to be harder.
OMG, correct!!! Hand placement is wrong. Keeping the hands the way you placed it can lead to hyper extended elbows. If anything, the fingers should face each other to avoid messing up the elbows. Why didn't you consult me first before posting? Shame on you for spreading the "bad techniques disease."
@Coach2win yea, after I saw the tutorial, I realized how I said to place the hands and was like "crap". Then I figured, oh well, most people don't fully listen anyways so with any luck, they'll either look at my hand placement when I do the round off in the vid or when they try to do it, they wont fully turn it. Ill consult you next time Coach :P Although we already shot a ro-bhs tutorial
@KidHaru lol i started getting into gymnastic conditioning a while ago and i was watching coach sommers videos, i saw the strength project in related videos and i subscribed and these guys perform at huntington all the time. Speaking of which how are your static holds it seems like you focus more on technical stuff and not to much strength
@chachiichachiii Ryan Jacobs? and my static can use work. Your right about me being a lot more technical and dynamic. I don't condition at all haha. I should start
@KidHaru cool cool but yah i recently started im working on my straddle planches and ring work right now its tough stuff, my hand stand work is lacking because i dislocated my shoulder last year :/ lol i probably shouldnt even be doing any planche work
oh yea. And I couldn't say a round off is just a cartwheel where you land with both feet since some may not be able to really break it down that simple. I also wanted to target the bad habit of doing roundoffs/cartwheels with hips and shoulders angled off. :P But yea, for those that have straight cartwheels. Just put your feet together when in the handstand and snap down. Bam
hurdling is like skipping just once, then the round off starts off as a regural cartwheel, then you land with both feet at once instead of 1 at a time.
round offs are the major power for starting off flips :o
@mlbm13 haha yea. Im a bit mad at myself for not simply describing the hurdle as a skip. iono, maybe the emphasis on having the weight on the forward leg from the lag step will help some :/
