When a horse goes down in the chute, you have to get it back up quickly, because being down like that, it can stop breathing, break its legs by kicking to the side through the bars, or even break it neck, they had to get him up.

One of the reasons why I can't stand rodeos. Almost all rodeos I've seen are always cruel to their animals. Sure, it makes great entertainment for us, but it's a nightmare for the animals. This video just digusts me and this must be stopped! :(

Ive heard of okalahoma rodeos being pretty bad when it comes to animal abuse I remeber watching on here about a rodeo that has at least 30 animals die/injures a day n they just leave n dont care.

Hey Shark, you've seen me comment on your other videos I think but I have been to one rodeo here in New Zealand for a show jumping competition I was competing in and I have to say, I never once saw abuse like this. If the horse got down, the cage was open and the horse was let out and they let it go back to the herd. The horses did constantly run into the fence but the vet always did a thorough check over before releasing the horse. Not all rodeos are bad, but it's good for people to know

I have always enjoyed rodeos, grew up riding horses, and am absolutely appalled at the obvious cruelty in this video. The reality is this.....most of the rodeo stock are "spirited" animals that do not work for regular farm/ranch duties. These animals are sold as rodeo stock (some are raised as rodeo stock) and often treated quite well. I am ashamed that anyone associated with the PRCA would be seen doing and allowed to continue in such a manner.

We assure you he wont go back on stage until we're sure he's fine." So I tried to cause a scene and I yelled "LET ME CHECK HIM OUT THEN." I was pulled out of the rodeo by guards. And that's why I never go to a rodeo. You stand up for the animal.

Hey Shark, you've seen me comment on your other videos I think but I have been to one rodeo here in New Zealand for a show jumping competition I was competing in and I have to say, I never once saw abuse like this. If the horse got down, the cage was open and the horse was let out and they let it go back to the herd. The horses did constantly run into the fence but the vet always did a thorough check over before releasing the horse. Not all rodeos are bad, but it's good for people to know

I have always enjoyed rodeos, grew up riding horses, and am absolutely appalled at the obvious cruelty in this video. The reality is this.....most of the rodeo stock are "spirited" animals that do not work for regular farm/ranch duties. These animals are sold as rodeo stock (some are raised as rodeo stock) and often treated quite well. I am ashamed that anyone associated with the PRCA would be seen doing and allowed to continue in such a manner.
