Most waxes sheet like that. But you have to think more of the real world. Rain doesnt trickle like that, it comes down in drops, which create beads of water droplets, then causes water spots.

it also helps that the (tap water im assuming is what it is), has less contaminates than rain does, so even if some of that water does stay on the car, it may not leave marks like rain would.
