  • yo check this love song by Dameon Walker

  • so eternal are british?

  • i feel like killing Rihanna right now!

  • i remember this song just missed the top 10 billboard but it was a great song!!

  • Not Enough of Luise Shown in The Video, She was Pretty When A Teenager, But Like All Females After 20 She Started to Droop Worst Than Droopy. ah Well. Only A Pious Girl Remains Beautiful Eternally.!!!! FACT.!!!!!

  • @MuslimsVsJews You're simply an idiot.

  • @nateirma I Take It You Are Not Pious At All.!!!! Thats Ugly And Shamefull.!!!!

    /user/TheJewishLiesExposed

  • Well she wasn't the main singer of the group, at least for this song.

  • Louise didnt exactly get a lot of 'face time' in the video did she.

  • Best group to come out of the UK. They can sing. None of this Mickey Mouse shit ie Saturdays, Girls Aloud etc

  • damn this joint takes me back forgot about this group

  • From what I remember at the time...it was widely reported that one of the main reasons Louise felt she had to leave the group was because of the bullying from the two sisters. Sounds like history repeated itself with Kesha in the Sugababes...but at least the group had the sense to oust the bully & enable the Sugababes to continue without her.

  • ok who here had the remix tape of this song? it kicked a##!!! i had it lol

  • This was always my jam!

  • i mgot all albums including stay brillant band ! ven got louise nurdoing rednapp album lol hahahaha ! good times

  • who would have thought they were english

  • @rurouni82 They were one of the few UK acts in the 90s I was not embarrassed about. Listen to their other songs - released everywhere except the US. Stupid record company!

  • @1977UK Well their fan base in the states was the R&B scene; not a very easy genre to compete in back then. As far as I remember there were quite a few good alternative UK acts in the 90s. A lot of them may not have had long careers in the states but all together it made a very enjoyable decade in music. I wish those days could come back.

  • @rurouni82 Definitely. Their debut album Always & Forever was one of the biggest sellers in the 90s in the UK and they had 15 top 20 hits in the UK - 12 in the top 10. They were one of the biggest mainstream acts in the UK and other parts of the world crossing dance, R&B and the main charts. They were respected as live singers too. Because their label was going through issues in US, they only put their first album out there. By 1999 Eternal were on a new label in the US, but split up. :-(

  • Oh my god - I love this song!!!!

  • i loved this song and video i wanted to be them soo bad!

  • I know right! In my sophomore yr in high school 15 yo, taken me back to a realer time (in music)

  • this is how we do it, yeahhh.

    hee guys slaap lekker he.

    bye,bye.

    big kiss.

  • @suzanne XoXo : ))

  • Looks like they're hiding Louise...

  • their ALWAYS and FOREVER album will always be my forever fave from them! and this song is part of that album

  • i had the maxicd looool

  • i just remember WAG at leicester sq when i heard this now. those were the days.

  • it's good memories again not my favorite band but not bad at all.

  • Wow. This was the stuff. I use to rock this in the Escort GT back in the day. Nice groove. Great vocals. Nice music. The New Jill Swing in effect.

  • @JellyBean2144 YEAH! Escort GT plus banging R&B was the stuff back in the day!

  • THIS WAS MY SONG. i was a part of a singing group and we used to perform this. What in the world has happened to REAL music. I sound like my mother...but good grief music now is painful. AUTOTUNES. smh

  • Why none of the radio stations here in the United States play this song anymore? There has to be some kind of copyright issue since this group is from the UK, just like the "im a barbie girl" song, no station in the United States can play it. I called up a bunch of radio stations trying to find this song(stay), and none of the radio stations even knew this group ever existed.

  • This is awesome. R&B nowdays is nothing compared to this!

  • i was in lovewith LOUISE lollllll

  • i` remember when this video came out , i went and bought the cd. i love this song and this group

  • i remember they used to play this song on bet in 93-94

  • I havent heard this song in a billion years!

    XD

  • Tune! Loved this group back in the day... looking back, I feel so proud the UK was able to produce a mature, classy girl group with brilliant voices and songs. Spice Girls, Girls Aloud... yuck.

  • When louise left they were fucked pretty much, which sucked

  • Don't remember quite so much running in this video! The street clothes shots remind me of Xscape from their videos. Or to a lesser extent, 1 Of The Girls. Anyway, great song! Stronger vocals than "Just A Step From Heaven" another good song. Sounds so much better than all the AutoTune garbage on the radio today.

  • good song from back in the day! ah man

  • Used to looooove this song. :) :)

  • nice song!!

  • That's the kinda music I miss. It's been over a decade since this rnb style have been lost. Hope it will come back.

    Tremendous album :)

  • here we go again. instead of enjoying a very nostalgic song, all i read is "lol to the white chick" and "nasty black women" People need to get a life.

  • i have this song on Cassette single..lol.

  • err the "White chick" you thought to lol at is actually Louise Nurding (now Louise Redknapp) probably the most famous of the group went on to have a solo carer for a bit also and now works in english telivision.

  • Lol at the white chick

  • lol at the white chick.

that's Louise redknapp one of the sexist girls around too hot

  • who had to leave cos the two black sisters were abusive to her. nasty black women? now there's a suprise.

  • I forgot all about this song! Brings back memories of middle school

  • LIER

  • @tekenareuben they're not even the same song though? different lyrics, chords, riffs, just the same title of the song! How are they the same?

  • miss eternal sooo mucchhhhh...

  • love this song

  • Never heard of them but they seems kool as all music artist were around this time

  • UK'S BEST GROUP EVER....

  • eternal jams one the 1

  • oh i loooved this song!!

  • GGGG i love this song!

  • They show her quite a bit for being the only anglo in the group. She's still beautiful no matter how much we see of her.Great group and great song, miss the 90's.....

  • They hardly show Louise in the vid, I guess she was left apart...

  • Yeah but she still stood out like a sore thumb! First time I saw her I thought wow!

  • Thank GOD been looking for this since someone stole all my tapes back in the day, couldn't remember their name or the song..thank GOD for U tube, now just need to find them on Zune

  • MISS THEM WIT LOUISE

  • This was the shit

  • holy crap i remembern this!! 90s r&b/soul was way better than now =(

  • I think Easther is sooooooooooo fukin HOTT!!! Her voice is sooooo kool. It's like a smooth R&B voice with a ROCKER edge. It's AMAZING!!!

  • they were the best in 90's....they all from Croydon...

  • i actually love this song! x

  • I love the lead singer, she has one of the best voices in the UK

  • Eternal! dang! ... Now we are going back my sister used to listen to Eternal all the time back in the 90's. I have their greatest hits album & the songs on it just never get old... Im 27 now i was about 11ish when this single came out lol where has the time gone!?!

  • This is the jam!!!! Great post thank you!

  • louise is a babe now she is a real footballers wife

  • cud u send me the mp3 pls

  • i think a reunion could work because they always looked older than they were and their songs were mature. not silly and gimmicky. i am not sure a reunion would happen with all 4, maybe 3?

shame they didn't get on with each other, maybe they needed more time apart between albums - a bit of a break from each other!

  • Comment removed

  • I don't think a ReUnion would work out now. They have grown up so much and have husbands and kids.

Back when this song was released they were teenagers and I don't think they still have that touch anymore.

At least we have this great Video to watch and listen to their great debut Album ALWAYS AND FOREVER.

  • they should do a reunion- was a great group!!

  • Oh YES!!! I thought I will never hear this song ever again! People I knew, even my little sister was looking at me crazy when I sing the chorus to her trying to remember this song (the chorus was all I knew) then now I decide if someone, ANYONE out there know that song I heard and love when I was in 3rd grade. I FOUND IT!!! Thank You Peter1999! Now I am going to prove my sister wrong!

I am going to even make a video HA!

  • WOW!!!!!!!!! I haven't heard this in a LOOOOOOONG time!!!!

  • mint group these were xxxxxxxxxxxx

  • don't know anything about this group but i heard only a part of this single years ago and thought they would be big in the US but for some reason it never happened. thanks for sites like youtube where i can access good music like this

  • hey ya all!what is this matter of louise's departure?..anyway whatever the reason, let's remember this, the feeling was good, harmonies perfect and because of it we could enjoy what the music can give as mix of genre and ethnic groups just like All saints and many others

  • hey just my opinion white girl can harmonies plus she's fine what ever the reason i miss her.

  • R&B at its finest

  • Louise did not leave because she was white! Why would the record company be stupid to split the group on race lines? And EMI did not release albums in the States after Always and Forever anyway. Louise left because she was homesick and didn't enjoy the constant international promo. Her solo career focused mainly on the UK.

  • @1977UK Yeah.. sure she left because she was homesick. That was a cover story. What a coincidence that the only member to leave the band was white, which left the rest of the group to concentrate on being an all black girl 3 piece. Wake up! It was planned all along. Louise was used to help make the band appeal to a broader audience.

  • @AprilShowerful I have been "awake" and fully alert to the Eternal story. Louise does not need to lie about her reasons 15 years down the line. Last month in fact Louise reiterated to Attitude magazine that she left because she was homesick and tired from the constant touring and promo - even though she loved the group and the music. Also, Kelle (one of the black members) left Eternal in 1998, leaving the last two members as a duo. You shouldn't judge everything on race lines. It's ignorant.

  • @AprilShowerful Also you're contradicting yourself. On the one hand you're saying that Louise was "used" to help make the band appeal to a "broader audience" and then you are saying that Louise left Eternal so they could "concentrate on being an all black girl 3 piece". Whatever that means? If people cared about Louise's race, would Eternal not lose that "broader audience"? Would it be better if Eternal consisted of all black members or was multi-racial? I think it is irrelevant.

  • @1977UK Louise was bought into the band by the record company at the beginning and was used at that time to help the group build up a fan base.

At that time they didn't think the british public would accept an all girl black group, so they used Louise to sofen up the public.

Once they had a big enough fan base, she was no longer needed and they got rid of her.

It was never about Louise in the first place, it was about promoting black artists especially in the uk.

  • @AprilShowerful Incorrect. Louise met their manager Denis Ingoldsby & at the same time Easther & Vernie had met him. Louise & another girl united with Easther and Vernie. The 4th girl left & Louise recommended Kelle from her school. They got to know each other for a year before signing a record deal to see how they got on. That's how Eternal formed. They got on really well. Louise decided to leave of her own accord. It wasn't some patronising initiative to "help" black recording artists.

  • I remember this song, THey should've been alot bigger in the US, I got all of thier albums Including their Greatest Hits), But on music Choice they would always play a different mix

  • Actually Louise left because they tried to make it in America and at the time American producers said that it wouldn't work because Louise was white and that the band wouldn't be accepted.

  • thats so stupid see this is the kinda thing that makes me wanna leave the us....i mean after she left they just sounded like swv :(

  • Why does it make you want to leave the US?

Louise can hardly be heard on any Eternal songs.

  • I believe she left, because she just didn't have enough funk or distinction to blend into the group and I don't think around that time, the people were ready for that contrast of three black girls and one white girl

  • Well tell me this how come people accepted groups like All Saints (3 white girls & 1 black girl), Spice Girls (4 white girls & 1 black girl (sorta), and many others, She probably wasn't that much into r&b music

  • i believe 2003lost confirmed my comment.

  • Which is not true,

  • shit i was 13 when this came out.

  • LOL so was i LOL

  • I was in sixth grade when this song came out. I have been teaching twelth grade for six years now. Funny how time flies.

  • Gosh 90's ( and 80's) were the best times in terms of music, really had come far. This is such a simple but beautiful son, I miss music like this....:(

  • I use to have a crush on the white girl...they are all fine but I liked her the most

  • I remember being so jealous of her when I was younger, especially when she went solo and released that song "Naked" They guy I had a massive crush on ( who I thought would be my future husband ahah) had a massive crush on her, she is beautiful though. Talk about heart ache haha

  • Ha Ha...beautiful is an understatement.

The other girls are beautiful but she is Exoctic!

  • @jaimiepat

As long as you loved that song when it came out than it did his job well. Every song is considered to fit in its time...some old songs just dont fit in our time but they still rock.

  • damn i do miss the fly girl look! nowadays they all look like skanks

  • Damn I miss the old days! Back then when music was real music!

  • I love that song! What happend to the group?

    Those girls can sang!

  • I Thought I Was The Only One Who Remembered These Britsh Bombshells From Back In The Day. As Well As Being Gorgeous, These Girls Were Talented And Indeed Worthy Of The Acclaim And Praise They Received. Ah, Another Ode To The 90's When Things Were All So Simple Then....:)
