  • As a transplanted easterner, I have come to greatly appreciate the outstanding beauty of the Stellars Jay. I leave lots of seed on my apt. balcony, and I now have 3 of them coming up here to feed.

EmeraldYA, I know watcha mean. The eastern bluejay is an attractive enough bird, but it cant hold a candle to the stellars jay. The one bird I do sorta miss from the east coast is the cardinal, they dont live in the PNW.

  • Steller's jays look so pretty! i hope i see one

  • This Steller's Jay is probably filling his beak with as many seeds as possible, so he can store them in a safe place for the future. I used to think it was the squirrels who hid the peanuts in my flower pots, but perhaps it was the jays.

  • nice video =) I wish i saw a stellers Jay. Where I live I only see Blue Jays.

  • It's the opposite with me, I really want to see a Blue Jay but I only see Stellers Jays.

  • i want to see stellers jays, but i only see blue jays.......the only jay species to live near my eastern home........it stinks!

  • @emraldYE I always see steller's jays but never blue jays.

  • @angelsara533 Same! :/

  • Absolutely gorgeous bird. Gotta love those Jays

  • yeah thier pretty but have you heard thier call very annoying!

  • their call is like a crow on helium, but their other call is an interesting progressive clicking noise
