Good for you to post this video. Lots of guys would delete it because it shows you didn't understand how to do this most efficiently. But, as is often the case, watching others' mistakes is often the best way to learn. Thanks for your effort.
hey buddy your axle seals are gone also hints all the grease coming from your axle housing and you dont need to take the spind off take the three hub assembly bolts out and it comes off with some bruit force and the axle will slide right out then you take the keepers off of the u joint and then beat the old you joint out of the hub with a ball pean hammer then follow all tear down in reverse to put back together this is the worst video of this job i have seen and im not a pro just smart i guesse
@kopplin18 if you watch the ENTIRE video you will see (as well as in my description) that i was not proud of the video... also at the end it clearly states that i figured out how easily it was supposed to come off. The hub did not come off originally with as you call it "brute force" it took a torch. But in the end the other wheel came off just as you described... so you might be smart but I am smart as well but you might need a boost in common sense
It is amazing that this person is still alive. First off read a Haynes Service manual and use plenty of penetrating oil. Please do not place a service jack and stand on soft bare ground, a level concrete driveway would be safer. Increasing leverage equals broken stud bolts. To get a better idea of how to do a particular job visit a local self service wrecking yard, their are plenty of vehicles that are in various stages of disassemble stages. It has help me learn a lot.
This is a repair video with an ever changing story line. (just like real life) Not the worst video ever as you claim near the end. You would want to swear all the time and show us your injuries for extended periods of time to accomplish that. (see 1/2 of the videos that refer to repair on youtube)
thank you, it was hard to find a video about replacing a front u joint on a 1500 4wd
