  • Went in this as a kid (we were at the back of the tour), I looked back at one point and saw a floating ghost head. Cried to my mother, no one believed me... Until this video... xD

  • I wish I could get a close up of some of those paintings. I'd love to paint them out. Especially the one of Lady Tremaine.

  • It's quite evident this was one of the many marketing ploys used to promote the then new movie The Black Cauldron. Given how quickly the company removed all other references to the movie in the parks, it's amazing that they let this one go on for twenty years before deciding to replace it with a retelling of Cinderella. Stupid Disney, first you replace Mr. Toad with Winnie the Pooh, now this? Why must you get rid of the awesome stuff with the over-marketed franchises?

  • This is awesome! They need to do this for Disneyworld. Thye can add Ursula, Jafar and Dr. Facilier as well =D

  • If this ever comes to Walt Disney World, the Portraits should be: Ariel turning into Ursula, Sorcerer Mickey turning into Chernabog, Aladdin turning into Jafar, Milo and Kida turning into Commander Rourke and Lt. Helga Sinclair, Rapunzel turning into Mother Gothel and Stitch turning into Captain Gantu. It may not Happen, But I can Dream, which is the fun part of being a Disney Fan.

  • @minoritymex72 you are right it's also in half blood prince

  • 1:O_O The magic mirror is now Japanese? that is scary as hell!

2:Disney really knows how to make a haunted house

  • DAME! man, i wish i knew some Japanese.....

  • Whoa, the tapestry shown at 1:10 (with the unicorn in a circular fenced off area) is also in Hogwarts castle at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! I don't know how unique that tapestry is, but I'm 110% positive that there is a tapestry exactly like that in Hogwarts. Weird...

  • BAAWWW!! No trasnlation! I need it to be translated please! D:

I dont want to use google, but I might need it for once T_T

  • I want to go to Tokyo. Bring my dollys and have fun!!!!!!!!! goblin kings hehehee

  • The Mirror sounds like a Japanese Paul Frees.

  • the music is also off sleepy beauty

  • it weird also because at the begining there is a picture of cinderalles castle mystery tour with malificant at the begging in sure she is in sleeping beauty ?

  • i remember being on this as a kid, crying the whole way. i hated tokyodisney just because of this tour. its even scarier than haunted mansion lol. indeed a very dark attraction for disney standards. watching this still creeps me out. closing this awesome attraction down was a very baaaddd idea though.

  • @GoofSebastian

Just asking, but do you still hate Tokyo Disney?

  • It's the same set up as the Haunted Mansion.

  • wow i never thought cinderellas castle wud be so creepy it looks happy in the outside. they shud bring this to anagem but not like this creepy shit what the hell its supposed to be a castle not a lair

  • gosh the black cauldron freaked the crap out of me as a kid

  • ah, back in the days when Disney made great adventures rather than girly, gay or kiddy crap. I miss those days. I really wish Disney still produced stuff like this. I fell in love with Disneyland as it gave me a chance to experience adventure. Seems like those days are long gone.

FWIW - the MK is a poor imitation of a Disney park compared to DLP or DL. Disneyland Paris is not what ist once was, but it is still awesome. Sadly, when we go to Tokyo next it is only because of TDS now :-(

  • And not all of Disney's recent endeavors have been girly, gay or kiddie either.

Get it through your head, Dave. GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD!!!

  • And the days of Disney producing great adventures are NOT (I repeat, NOT) gone!!!

  • "The rest of the attraction seems to be, for the most part, a tour of the Villain's lairs including some very un-Disney creepy moments."

My guess is that's the reason it was closed. Was too scary for little kids.

  • They should add a picture of Aladdin;which changes to Jafar, Peter Pan; which changes to Captain Hook, and B'rer Rabbit; which changes to B'rer Fox.

  • And while we're at it, how about: -a picture of Robin Hood that changes to Prince John -a picture of Ariel that changes to Ursula -a picture of Simba that changes to Scar -a picture if Pocahontas that changes to Ratcliffe -a picture of Quasimodo that changes to Frollo -a picture of Hercules that changes to Hades -a picture of Mulan that changes to Shan-Yu -a picture of Tarzan that changes to Clayton -a picture of Tiana that changes to Dr. Facilier Just having some fun. :)
  • @disneynut06

-Brer Rabbit changing into Brer Fox and Brer Bear

-Sully and Mike changes into Randall

    -Flik changing into Hopper

    -The Incredibles changing into Syndrome.

    -The Beast changing into Guston.

    -Bianca changing into Medusa.

  • @moger999

    -Basil turning into Ratigan

    -Mowgli turning into Shere Khan

-Peter Pan turning into Captain Hook

    -Aladdin turning into Jafar

  • @moger999 Rapunzel to Mother Gothel

Jack Sparrow to Barbossa, Davy Jones or Blackbeard

  • @Humbledingify

    Don't forget Brer Bear!

  • i totally empathize with the child crying in the backround!

  • it would be more fun if it was in english,

cus i don't think tourists will enjoy this so much if they don't understand them..

but i really want to go to this disneyland :)

  • They need to bring this attraction back. I've never even been to the Tokyo Disneyland, but this looks like lots of chilling fun.

I'll add this to the list of things I'm putting into a letter to the Imagineers.

  • Before i die, I totally HAVE to go to Disney Tokyo and Disney Paris!!!! xD

  • i don't know wich parks you been?

but i must say: disneyland paris is nothing special comparing to other parks..

i been to Magic Kingdom in florida, and paris doesn't have a meet and greet with Ariel or splashmountain,.. and the rest is pretty much the same then other parks ^^'

  • woah this is creepy... but AWESOME! they need to add this to the american one!

  • can someone message me why the Disney Villains. in fact, are the real Disney Heroes i seen it in the discription

  • @tomlinkon Because without the villains, there wouldn't be any story.

I actually agree with the mirror: it's the Disney Villains that are the true heroes! :)

  • They should bring it to Disney World

  • the next will be the cinderella castle walkthrough that features the grand ballroom in it

  • Unfortunately, this attraction closed in 2006. Its a good thing I went to the Mystery Tour before it closed and I was still a kid! Man, was I creeped out!

  • This is a cool attraction. Can anyone translate this to English? Does anyone know if there is a subtitled or dubed version in English?

  • hey i'm going to tokyo disney next week! for the 3rd time haha

  • Bring the dragon to Disneyland! That would be sweet! This looked cool! Bummer it closed... :(

  • Finally a little Black Cauldron lovin'! The king is so scary, he is perfect for this kind of attraction. Good call, Disney.

Taking it away without bringing it to the US: Baaaad call.

  • @wickedfeylady i totes loved Black Cauldron. Surprised me that disney made that movie

  • i wonder if they will bring this to cinderella castle in WDW

    that could be kinda cool

  • but with lees un-disney like parts.....

    maybe?

  • nopee, the wouldnt bring this to the cinderella castle. too bad. it would have been cool. even as a ride. but nope, cuz they have alot of stuff upstairs like the castle hotel room or w.e its called. & the castle is on top of water so they cant go underground :(

  • if only i could understand wat they were saying

  • This looks awesome but...also, kinda scary. I mean, I'm not a huge fan of dark corridors. XD;;;

  • first off disneyland already has a castle walk through, and second off most americans are too big of pussy's to handle it at walt disney world, and 3rd off disney world is just getting cheaper and cheaper they wouldn't fork up the money for something this good

  • Sigh..one...Tokyo disneyland has a Cinderella castle

Two...It IS owned by disney..wtf is oriental land...Disney has all rights and gets all he money.

The only reason this isnt in the American castle is because of the florida water tables so they cant go underground and there are alot of things upstairs in the castle...

  • I never said it wasn't owned by disney.

  • Sorry....it was torward an old comment... lol

  • Actually "oriental land' actually provides the funding for tokyo disneyland.

  • False.

Tokyo Disneyland is owned entirely by the Oriental Land Company. They license the Disney Characters and Themes from The Walt Disney Company and pay them a big fee for it in the process, but Disney has no say in what they do with the park.

  • i dont get it, Sleeping Beauty had Maleficent, not Cinderella.

  • i guess they thought Maleficent was more evil than Tremaine, especially the design on the bottom of the ride's sign with the dragon heads

  • I LOVE THIS TOUR! I wish they put it in Florida! It would be so cool!!!!

  • looks like a really cool attraction its a shame it closed wanting doing a trip to TDL myself in about a year or so I agree that this is pretty scary for Disney standards but keep in mind Disney also came out with things like Alien encounter @WDW which beyond terrified me & the haunted mansion at times is not too very tame either either @ WDW or DLR the first time my mom took me to the WDW to go on the HM.I got 1 look at it heard the dog's howl and practicality begged her not to make me go on it.

  • I'll always Love this attracion for some reason.

  • this is so wrong. disney isn't supposed to be scary lol.

  • Tokyo Disneyland isn't owned by Disney, it's owned by Oriental Land. Oriental Land has the licensing to the Disney stuff though.

  • ???

  • or Maleficent's Citidel

  • That's so cool how they make it look like your outside the casttle. It would've been cooler if they had an actual animatronic of Chernabog. He's awesome!

  • if they were to put this at the anaheim park then they would have to totaly redo the castle thats already there and to do that they would have to close it take out the cinderell suite and prolly dig under it which means months even years of work.but it would sooooooo be worth it!

  • the cinderella suite is located in Walt Disney World in florida, not Disney land in Anaheim

  • Wonder what they are saying...this is pretty scary, especially for a Disney attraction! Seems like it would've been cool to experience. Just wish we could've gotten a better view of the dragon.

  • Too bad they didn't send it here, in Canada. Because this tour is more creepy then in Canada, cause it will make it more fun (And I wish they put English Subtitles on the camera so we could understand what they're saying).

  • i think they closed it because it was diney villians in CINDERELLAS castle

  • I think it was probably because the attraction wasn't really accessible to guests with disabilities, including those travelling in wheelchairs.

After all, being ambulatory is usually a requirement for most walk-through attractions.

  • Well, the castle itself is Cinderella's castle therefore it is Cinderella's Castle Mystery Tour that is filled with Villains, Maleficent just happens to be on the logo...

  • Just like tp point out they called it cinderella when it is actually sleeping beauty, and has the queen from beauty underneath the sign lol.

  • ya thats kind of stupid. they need to get their princess stories right!!!

  • you also have to remember, the vilan in Cinderella was her stepmother. if they put a picture of her stepmother...would people reconize it?

  • They did put a picture of her. When the camera went under the door, you can see it.

  • If that's the dragon, then sorry, too much bad quality to even see it.

  • this looks so awesome...they probably closed it because it's not handicap accessible. :/

  • WHY WaltDianeyWord don't have that atraction

  • The castle tours seems cool. Too bad no other disney park has one. Also too bad they colsed it down. :(

Oh well, maybe they're going to refurbish it. You know a ride is dated when it features Black Cauldron. They'll probaly add newer (and more serial) villans: Ursula, Jafar, Scar, maybe even Davy Jones (He could replace Horned King).

    Only time will tell ;)

  • Replace the Horned King? How dare thee, the horned king is a classic disney villain, he can´t be replaced, not even with Davy Jones.

  • man it these times that you really want to know how to speack japanese

  • boohooo,,,, it was close when we went there i never got a chance to see the inside :(

  • doooooooood.

Why don't they have this in Anaheim?!!!

  • CHURNABOG! >w< Now HE was a misunderstood Villan.~~

  • hey that maflicence arrive at castle for auroa baby birthday celebration when blue good one stop

  • its times like this that i wish i knew japanese

  • where did yo get the creepy opening music??

  • Might want to check Google on that one. ;)

  • The Soundtrack for Disney's Sleeping Beauty.

  • How did they do the magic mirror

  • none of this makes sence there is the mirror from snow white the witch from SB and the cinderella castle ?

  • They are trying to tell you the ride covers all the villians.

  • @ParkHopper Ah yes Japan's habbit of treating children as more adult combined with disneys habbit of scaring people stiff .

  • hey park hopper that walk tour is 1986-2006 20 year now they get new one to replace CCMT =cinderella castle mystery tour. and how you get in disneyland tokyo ?

  • It seems that Disney really does have a dark bad side festering underneath that clean squeeky image....

  • what!?

  • I used to go on that all the time- had half a dozen medals, too! The joys of being a Gaiijin. :-D

  • this just messes up the little kids imagination for the little kids at disney hella messed up!!.

  • Konichiwa (phonetic spelling of hello in Japanese) I wish our castle had that! I'll settle on winning a night's sleep in the new Cinderella suite

  • why does the castle called cinderella

  • yes.its sleeping beauty.

  • this would scare the crap out of me lol. Who knew that so much evil can be in one disney castle lol. It's pretty cool too bad they didn't have anything likes this at the Disneyland in Anaheim.

  • what part of tour parkhopper?

  • I've taken the tour long ago. An absolute not for kids. Much scarier than Haunted Mansion.

  • I heard some kids crying so its gotta be scary! heh

  • how many times more scarier than the haunted mansion? cause im guessin 1,000 times more scarier.

  • Oh nevermind. The beginning confused me..sorry :)

  • It's sleeping beauty, mate!

  • why that have english tour waaa beause tokyo disneyresort is english and japanese.

  • Hmmm... I wonder if the Aurora, Phillip, and Maleficent dolls are still inside the the castle at the Anaheim Disneyland. I bet it's been collecting dust ever since they closed it down.

  • Nope. From what I hear it's been cleared out.

  • mr.parkhooper they have english tour?

  • No. Only Japanese.

  • mr.parkhooper they have english tour ?

  • i wanna take this tour sooo badly,it's awesome and it's alot better than the other stuff at Disneyland!

  • I'm sorry to have to tell you but they closed the Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour just last April. No one knows exactly why.

  • it sux that CA Disneyland doesn't have this!! Lucky i'm going to Tokyo when i finishe all of my four years of High School.

  • THANX PARKHOPPER!! IM A BIG FAN OF YOURS!! GREAT VIDEO BTW!!! i also wish they'd do that here in america

  • Thanks! Glad you're enjoying the videos. It would be nice if they would do something like that here in the States but they ususally don't make attractions quite that dark for the US audience.

  • i wish they would make something like this at the other disney parks its interesting and is good for an older audience

  • Every once in a while a rumor about a villians ride pops up so who knows...

  • WOW THAT'S COOL! Who's the dork that thought closing THIS was a good idea?

  • Don't know. It's one of the great Disney Theme Park mysteries.

  • Glad To Finnaly Get To See A Bit About This Grand Attraction.. It Was Closed The Time I Was There.. =(
