Well his voice changed. He was young when he sang this- MAYBE 13, but most likely 12. It was recorded in 2005, so.... IDK he could have been 13. But anyways his voice just hadn't changed yet. Of course, this isn't when his voice was REALLY high and smooth, like when he FIRST sang this song, but it still hadn't completely changed.

They're not the same! Even the meanings aren't the same. The one by XTC was showing their UNFAITHFULNESS in God, because He's letting them down. Nick's was showing his FAITHFULNESS in God, EVEN THOUGH He was letting Nick down. So that's a big difference in my opinion.

Also, this song was recorded by Nick in the CD, Nicholas Jonas, and the single, Dear God, at COLUMBIA Records - this was BEFORE the start of the Jonas Brothers 1st CD (It's About TIme) or even Disney (Jonas Bros.)
