Went to see them at Stoke speedway in 2010. It was brilliant.  As good as normal speedway. Bet they couldn't get around Redcar Speedway like that.

can't they make the left turn? So they can race it anticlockwise, but certainly on other speeds. I guess it's just not so thrilling.

These speedway sidecars are specifically set-up to race clockwise, the same as solo motorcycles are designed only to travel in the anti clockwise direction, however, flat track sidecars are a different species as they can go any direction.

Road race sidecars can also race in any direction, the passenger works very hard at high speeds.

It's great sport! I'm speedway fan, but I like icespeedway, grasstrack and longtrack too. I saw sidecar speedway on this movie. In June Gary Bowl will come to my Tarnow (Poland) with 5 best teams in UK! It'll be great!

Rob is a good rider. He competed this year at the Gold Cup in Adelaide on a Grasstrack outfit, against all the purpose built speedway machines. The main design of the modern track racing sidecar is due to the fact that we only turn one direction (right hand). It is quite difficult to turn left on the outfits at crawling pace and completely impossible at race speed.
