Ever since the release of Epic Mickey, people were all like "Whos Oswald" and stuff. Now his population is by storm! i think I now know OSwald more than Mickey now.
Oswald the Lucky rabbit, he's pretty cool, I wonder how far he'll go in the industry, because all the old cartoons i watched of him years ago are awesome! (watched them for a school project as my topic was mickey mouse, emphasis on was :) )
In my honest opinion, Oswald is a much better character than Mickey! Hard to explain, but Mickey comes across as the "good guy" every time. Oswald has a LOT more character colour, like not taking crap from anybody (1:17 Oswald punch!) and behaving like a kid with an adult body! Mickey to me is too predictable... But that's just my opinion. Strangely, I say this, when I grew up with Mickey for 19 years and only found out about Oswald's existence a month ago!
@Arwingpilot I agree, Mickey has become nothing more than a face for profit recently. He used to be so mischievous, but now that Walt is gone, he's not used very often anymore and he's just this goodie-two-shoes you see all over the parks. I hate to say it, but he's become flat....
@fireflydayparade ... All these other people who are in charge now have twisted him into something that, I think, Walt wouldn't have wanted. That's why I like Epic Mickey so much, I think this is a way to sort of pump new life into the character.
Oswald, on the other hand, because he hasn't been used in so long, still has that fun mischievous side that Walt wanted him to have.
wow! i never knew about oswald even though iv been watchin disney since the early 2000 when i was in elementary school...he needs to get known cus there a lot of kids out there that didnt know that mickey has a brother.welcome back oswald!!
@thezebracakes yeah i know that now after i saw the story about how walt disney lost him when he renewed his contract but just want to see him in new stuff...but yeah no here is yell so check ur caps lock...
All these years believing that Oswald was part of Walter Lantz cast until I got notice of this game and the real origin of the character
words can´t describe my reaction
Many, many generations seeing Oswald the Lucky Rabbit using the disguise that Walter Lantz provided him ignoring that he was a Walt Disney creation cause the media limits
now with all these media Oswald reappears disoriented from the reality finding his place
but I have faith that Oswald will get it soon, with Mickey as pal
I knew about Oswald for years, but then again I'm a Disney freak. This story sounds so interesting, I'm so glad they could incorporate Oswald into a video game! I'm very excited for this ^ ^
@365ral I totally agree. Neither Mickey nor Walt are to blame for Oswald's fall into obscurity.
It's just too bad poor Oswald can't go into the afterlife to give Charles Mintz (the distributor that took the rights to Oswald away from Walt) a well-deserved bonk on the noggin.
@Dommie222 Yeah, which is weird because Oswald's already married to his kitty girlfriend Ortensia, and has 420 Bunny Kids. Maybe she's just a replica of Minnie so that Oswald can try to copy everything that Mickey has in his life.
You know maybe If Mickey ever gets another New Cartoon series of his other previous ones from before maybe he can add In Oswald again. That way they would have to be Rivals/Eneines all the timer
How sad. Oswald was truly shaped to be Walt's first animated star that was going to change the history of cartoons forever. Until he gets wrongfully snatched, which leads to Mickey's creation. I can't wait to play the game and see just how exactly will the two famous Disney Bros patch things up
Wow, that sure is interesting. I Can't believe just because the rights to Oswald were lost that Oswald ended up lost to history. The one thing that should have been addressed in this video is how they suddenly go the rights back to him back in 2006, as that is what really wonders me.
Your tweet from New York Comic-Con now makes a bit more sense, because as Warren said he wants to "Set Oswald up for success".
As always, thanks for the great info StichKingdom! ;-)
TELL DISNEY TO GET OSWALD AND MICKEY TO HAVE TEAM UP CARTOONS!!!!! Seriously, that would be cool!

I like how they didn't mention the face that Universal made cartoons featuring Oswald and said he "just kinda disappeared".

i hate how in order to see old disney and warner brothers classic stars and toons the company had to redraw thse characters and show us.

kittycat5498 1 year ago
So... It took 4 years to make this game ???!!!
I too love Oswald ! His movies are cool and he needs to "get back home". I mean... The rights should belong to Disney right ? That would be fair.

I bet if Oswald knew that Walt truly loved him, and that he wasn't ABLE to keep Oswald anymore, he wouldn't have any plans to kill Mickey whatsoever.

@FigmentJedi Not just any sportscaster. They traded Al Michaels. From the looks of the game, it looks like it may have been well worth it.
