Planet Terror was kind of cool graphic and film-wise, but their was so much uselessness involved. It seemed to be trying to be something it's not. I mean, don't get me wrong. The shots were very pretty, the gore was cool, and I liked the scratchy Grindhouse-esque film screen; however, it lacked so much. I hated the modern side of it. Osama Bin laden? Really? I mean, they're the best straight up action films I've ever seen of this era next to Kill Bill and Death Proof. I dunno. he did a pretty amazing feat turning 7 grand into feature length film. If you read his book it details how they sort of meet during the festival circuits when they both were starting out.

I have seen most of their films. Pulp Fiction will always be a classic but I am really not into their other films. Dusk Til Dawn had its moments though.
These guys are both very smart and interesting and they seem to want to help young film-makers, especially Robert.

And as for how much is too much for violance and gore there is no too much. I've seen movies so bad that they're illegal in the united states. One is called Cannibal NO NOT Hannibal. Cannibal Makes Hostil look like candyland the movie.
Audiences wer NOT ready for Grindhouse. I love these guys but look at what happened to it... It missed the mark in U.S. DP was the only one released in AU and practically went straight to DVD. To make their money they were released seperate so no fake trailers :(

Rodriguez and Tarantino. Two of the best movie makers of their generation.
I mean From Dusk Till Dawn, Sin City, El Mariachi, Reservoir Dogs, kill Bill, Planet Terror, Death Proof, Jackie Brown, Pulp Fiction.
Those are some of my favorite movies of all time. They know exactly what theiy're doing. Simply genius.

I look up to these guys way more than stephen spielberg. I'm an amutear film maker and hope to get like these guys some day. And as for how much is too much for violance and gore there is no too much. I've seen movies so bad that they're illegal in the united states. One is called Cannibal NO NOT Hannibal. Cannibal Makes Hostil look like candyland the movie.

Audiences wer NOT ready for Grindhouse. I love these guys but look at what happened to it... It missed the mark in U.S. DP was the only one released in AU and practically went straight to DVD. To make their money they were released seperate so no fake trailers :(

i love both of them, my top 2 directors. Quentin is my favorite. Then Robert. They are just so good to watch together. But Robert needs to get his shit together, dump his nasty ass whore succubus of a fiancee, and start making either Sin City 2 or Machete. If he starts putting her in his movies, im going to lose my respect for him. I loved Planet Terror, but please don't shove your whore down our throats like she is your penis and we are her mouth. Not to mention, she cant act for shit.
