It seems a lot of posters seem to expect international/rhythm style chacha, but I really enjoy the chacha-salsa variation on salsa nights, it's a nice compromise for me as I'm a dancesport-er ;)

I've just started learning club latin and my partner chuckles at me being too "ballroomy" :P I really enjoy Angel Santos' cuban-chacha styling too. I like the clip titled "Angel Aristides Santos and Reyna dance cha cha cha"

Its not ballroom cha-cha for sure.I just dont get why u say so bad things about em, they arent dancing BALLROOM its fun/street/club whatever style of cha-cha. One thing i didn't like - dont watch on the floor man all the time ! (or am i wrong ? :P)

I think, I know where's the problem.

The problem is, that Kenny & Gabby are dancing "street" chacha - the more similar to bachata and other dances I have already seen. A lot of people who commented this thought they would see chacha as we are used to - competition chacha.

These are different styles and so we shouldn't be so strict. But.. I dislike it too..:)

I bet 90% of the people who are talking mess about this couple couldn't even do a simple underarm turn correctly. Yet, they seem to be perfectly comfortable self-nominating themselves to be critics of advanced dancers. I've seen these types before. They are the ones sitting down at clubs for the whole event and trying to bag on the dancers to compensate for the fact that they don't even know how to do beginners steps.

i think 90 % of people do know what they're looking at - expecting a great cha cha. It takes any decent dancer 2 seconds to look at their movement action and realise they are beginners

this is cha cha (not salsa as some have claimed) - clearly his steps go in the sequence of 1,2,3 4&5, 6,7, 8&1 - and these are advanced cha cha patterns...as a skeleton this would serve as a very viable instructional video...creativity, musicality, and any sort of expression from dancing comes from an individual and is very seldom taught by an instructor...on the whole, this serves as a very good instructional piece

I must commend the guy on the mastery of double-handed turns, switching hands, etc. However, the dancing lacks fluidity, grace and technique... How could this be part of an advanced Cha Cha video?

The turn repertoire could be advanced, the rest is not even intermediate...

They are dancing on-2. The cha-cha danced in US or international is not genuine. This is the real cha-cha. The men don't have to look femenine to be dancing real cha-cha

the basic make up of salsa and cha cha cha is the same you have your clave and your hits on 2 and 6. Cha cha cha is more dragged out. In salsa you'll hear a double tap and slap "Bump, Bump, Slap", Cha cha cha, triple tap and slap,"Bump, Bump, Bump, Slap" The paterns are interchangeable, instead of a pause you you do your cha cha cha.
