I saw Dir en grey back in 2007 in Oxford, most tame crowd at a concert I've ever seen. No mosh pits or anything, everyone was just standing there and enjoying the music.

The little j-rock fan 'community' in the UK is also really friendly, I've seen the same people around at concerts for Dir en grey, Miyavi and girugamesh. =P

I'll also be going to see them in August.. are you going alone or with friends? You should be fine.

@Blehmaeugh I saw them last year on the Kerrang tour at their Newcastle show, girls on the front row were hurling racist insults at kyo, especially since he had a tight Adidas pants on, they were commenting on the size of his penis. There were also scores of other people too boo-ing them off, on top of racist insults. Its pretty disappointing and i've come to the conclusion that perhaps the UK is not ready (culturally) yet to accept music other than those from white or black people..

I went to the Brixton show. I didn't see much, but I heard a lot of stories.

BMTH got their fans to beat up the DEG fans, got them to buy DEG's CDs just to destroy them outside their bus, people pissed/vomited on the bus, etc etc.

I also heard that a BMTH fan somehow pissed on their instruments, but I'm not sure of the credability of that.

Because reality is Japanese, US, SA and EU audiences are all different in the way they express their love for the band.

Some of the questions have been asked before, but a lot haven't. I like that. Other interviews intended for U.S. audiences ask the exact same questions over and over like Dir en grey have never come here before, like they're some unusual curiosty. It's like they didn't even research their interview subject (i.e. Laziness on their part).
