how could he not be lonely? he lived 3,000 lives of men. a friend of mine once went and figured that all out. he was close to 50,000 years or something like that. how hard must it be to go on living while everyone you know and care about gets old and dies around you. granted your getting old to, but come on! a lot of the wizards just became recluses to avoid that kind of heartache. the tolkien books say there were at least thirteen others, though you only meet three.
