Looking forward to your future posts.

    ;0)

  • @68NYC2 Get ready to clear out our garden for spring. The only thing that died, though, was our basil. It's been crazy warm here in Texas!

  • Great job guys! Happy Gardenng from canada! Load that composter up as much as you can! You will love what you get from it..

  • I love how this guy is gardening in his boxers.... YOU ROCK!!!!

  • @spiderguy016 LOL!

  • Go to facebook and add the 'Permaculture Guild of Houston', you don't have to be certified to join. The Houston Permaculture Guild supports the development and dissemination of permaculture techniques and ethics through classes, events, and the building of a community of permaculturists.

  • so great to see a young couple striving to do something that is so rewarding, keep up with the good work!!!!

  • Don't forget about companion planting with flowers or other crops to get more from the same amount of space.

  • @attilaclark For sure- nothing got planted on it's own I don't believe. Will get more into actual flowers, though, in the spring. :)

  • Love the set-up. Hope to see more of your progress and knowledge you gain, so I can apply to my own Houston Garden!!

  • @chickenbonewatt Thanks !!!

  • Great video. Love young people with the right idea about life. Did you find that you had about 25 to many cukumber plants? :) You might think beans and running plants on the fences and don't forget to go natural herbs for the medicinal as well as wonderful flavor. I'd suggest at least, chamomile, comfrey, dill, sage, time, rosemary, basil, and the ever powerful garlic. Red rasberrys and strawberrys. check out Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds...loved y'all!! Do another one!

  • @Dominicaislandmon Yep, got all our seeds from them this fall. We had TONS of basil, oregano, chamomile, lavender, thyme, rosemary, and DILL galore. (like literally 50 plants... it seeded in the spring- lol.) We are mainly going to focus on greens from now on- with a single plant for a few different other food varieties. Thank you!

  • @Dominicaislandmon Baker Creek Heirloom seeds is the absolute best. Their latest catalogue was so impressive.

  • How cool is this? A young hot couple growing their own food and lookin good while they do it. kudos to you both.

  • @reedsintn LOL!

  • those weeds are prickly lettuce, chooks love em if you're thinking of keeping some. Also some straw around the plants might be good for keeping the root zones cool, although beware of puting straw too close to the base of the stem as this can lead to collar rot. straw is brilliant around strawberries as it keeps the soil off the fruit. :0 yeah for backyard gardens

  • @ClareVision Thanks!

  • Awesome job converting your yard into a natural food factory! If only more people would do this to their yards...thanks for sharing your garden! It's a lot of work, but it's always well worth it to watch your garden grow and then harvest your rewards.

  • @segarza It's awesome! Number 1 hobby now :)

  • Great way to save some money. Hopefully they can now afford some clothes to garden in...

  • @BackyardDiscoveryCo : Do people not realize that sunshine is good for them? Lol, I mean really.

  • It's great to see young people doing this!

  • glad i foound the channel. Nice idea for the lattice, so much nicer than mine. I may steal that idea :)

  • @iwant2cryTUBE Thanks!

  • congratulations!!!!

THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO LIVE.

  • @fckuvrymch Yes, it's freaking amazing. I can't believe I missed out on this as a kid!

  • VERY NICE!!!

  • i was born in texas and lived part of my life there around the texas city area.... just wanted to say im really proud of yall! we will change this world yet!! thank you for sharing!

  • @M0SSYH0RNS Indeed! Thank you!

  • I cant wait to do my own organic subistance farming, LOOK INTO AQUAPONICS and greenhouses. You can add some protein and flavor to your diets by growing tilapia or other fish.

  • that "dandelion" looks like Milk Thistle.

  • @incognrod I will check it out, what I've come to believe it is, though, is prickly lettuce... although I don't know the proper term for it.

  • @considereden ..sure is Lactuca serriola( prickly lettuce). Keep growing ..cheers!

dont eat the white sap :)

  • @incognrod Yeah, I think I did eat some, although it was minor. I juiced the leaves and some stalk. I'll know next time. :)

  • Well done and keep up the good work, your doing good. One thing I will say though, is that your compost pit is far to dry, it wont come of much, trust me im an English gardener, were the best of the best! lol

  • @assacoon Yes it was- but we usually let the rain do that for us. It is still breaking down nicely- and we want to be as hands off as possible. Thanks!

  • this is cool, im inspired to realy start a garden in the back of my yard... great garden guys

  • @ajbaker7 Thank you!

  • why you all running around naked. good lord.

  • @toomanyfires We are not naked... ? It was summer. Haven't you heard of vitamin D? :)

  • @toomanyfires If you're ashamed of walking around half naked then you need to eat more fruits and vegetables. :P

  • A good thing to have around your garden is a bird house or bat house to help with the insects because they are what are getting to you fruits ^_^

  • @Christos1680 I definitely don't want a bird house to attract more birds. It's actually birds and/or squirrels that got to my fruit. Bugs couldn't eat all my pears in a matter of days- lol. We have a net on it now... But anyway, we do have a bat house already. :) Don't think it is inhabited as of yet, but I'm hoping it happens soon. The mosquitoes are killers here. :) Thanks for the tip!

  • Good for you guys. We unfortunately live in a condo so our growing is limited. We do really well with basil and dill and love being able to pick it fresh and put it on a salad every night ;) c

  • love your garden...great job. I have some videos also. check out my fall video. I use water bottles and 2 liter bottles to start seeds faster and help protect them. also when you fig tree gets more branches you can cut one off and stick it in water and it will self root. then just pant it 4 a free tree. take care

  • @SteveHarpster I certainly will! And I had no idea about the fig tree, I will definitely have to look into that. Thanks for your comment. :)

  • You might want to identify that weed you're juicing. I may be wrong, but it looks like wild lettuce (Lactuca virosa ) - has mild phychotropic effects lol

  • @canuckartist Lol- yes, I've long since identified it. It's prickly lettuce. Makes me crazy energetic, lol.

  • It just warms my heart to see young folks getting interested in gardening.

  • @wildbanano Thanks!

  • I would love to visit this farm as I am all the way from Nepal. I have been working for more than 15 years in this area in Nepal. I would love to learn and share the thing about organic agriculture I also interested to work in such a farm.

  • to bad to hear.. =( good that ur still happy =) fix some drains or raised beds =) happy gardening =)

  • hi nice garden you got there. wish my garden was that big. =) any updates on it?

  • @prosits It got wipes out pretty quickly because we are in a bad drought right now. We got lots of lettuce and dill, though! A few tomatoes, a few cukes, some basil, and one canteloupe- lol.
