  • How u made icing?

  • I have an 8inch Christmas cake that I want to ice just the top of, how much ready to roll icing and marzipan do I need?

  • Makes it look easy but it isnt to people who dont make cakes like that often. I spent a good hour last week doing all of the above, plus the cake itself, then when I went to trim the icing I trimmed it too high which left gaps at the bottom and looked pathetic. Not that easy at all.

  • American people can be so silly and stupid its icing in england and fondant in fucking america! anything you put on top of a cake to ice it in england we call it icing something, for example icing sugar is powdered sugar, fondant is ready to roll icing dr.oekter or something does a good one, frosting is utter cream icing godsake thicko's!!!

  • @gogibuur EXACTLY!!!!!!! You Tube is not just for American use!!!!

  • thank you!

  • what brand fondant?

  • What's the stuff she put on the cake to help the roll out icing stick? :)

  • @SorachaDoracha shes using powdered sugar :)

  • @SorachaDoracha butter cream most likely

  • i find cornflour is better for dusting the work surface than icing sugar, i find icing sugar a bit grainy but cornflour is much more smoother powder.

  • this is fondant! its sugar and glucose and a lot of other suff and no!!!! you cant use regular sugar it will fall right off the ccake or taste horrible. look it up !!!!!! *****FONDANT****** fondant is icing!!! a icing thatcan be molded into diffrent shapes!!!!!

  • @thenatandkeelyshow she just used the powdered sugar to make the surface smooth so the fondant won't stick, why you yelling?

  • Is icing the same as fondant?

  • How do i make that kind of roll out icing ?

  • Icing sugar is finer than granulated and castor sugar and usually contains cornstarch or something similar so that it flows better. You could try making it at home by grinding some sugar and sieving it. It's got to be super fine though!

  • Can I just use regular sugar instead of "icing sugar"?
