  • What a stupid title for this video - it's pre-rendered not PHYSICS DEMO !!!

  • omg this fucking fake, all of this effect are from plugin 3ds max Realflow, Rayfire, FumeFX

    Not Physx...

  • @Th3DEAD and its not even REAL-TIME :) its pre-rendered , nothing can do that realtime as of now

  • @Cobac

I do not say the opposite =)

  • Animation>Physics

  • its faketime but nice graphics

  • HOT CHEESEY BUTT SUCK

  • excellent, physX is going into my game engine.

  • Now do it in real time.

  • 0:45 best part

  • @MrOMGWTFxCorp yeah they use PhysX for alot of movies that great NVIDIA FTW :D

  • Why does the fire and smoke effects look like they've been made with fumefx in 3ds max?

  • @TheProphetsNextDoor they were OBVIOUSLY made with fumefx , just to show that the card can support things like that realtime ( i dont believe it )

  • @Cobac Neither do I believe it's in realtime unless you have some sort of supercomputer. THAT'S why I was questioning if it were FumeFx because FumeFx simulations take a while to simulate let alone ages to render at that quality.

  • PhysX?

  • Realtime?

  • @gmoiasovghb87fa i think so, but for sure 3-4 Supercards are simulating this

  • realflow render?

  • it's prerendered ok? so nothing special

  • ....i just wet myself.

  • Yeah all looks prerendered

  • nothing to do with nvidia nor physx

  • Lol compare this to minecraft physics

  • @teletubbiepwnzer why?...

  • too bad 99% of games these days are for consoles and then ported to PC, so there WON'T be any of those shits

  • two years later, I've seen nothing of this in games...

  • OMGGG Dumbledore! HP is awesome and so are PCs! :D

  • fume fx and realflow in real time? yeah sure,in 10 years, maybe

  • @GrowlingVocals men you say that because you dont have seen this Vid watch?v=1JrM4ujLY_A

10 Years? in ten years I realy can´t imagine what they could DO

and remenber is just one fermi card processing everyting in real time then see this

and you know what I am talking about watch?v=-AiLyQWXjIg

  • what is the name of last one??please =)

  • this rendered on cpu, you idiots

  • impresive=)

  • from 1:04 - 1:08 it looks like they had taken that from the star trek movie

  • in what film or movie is the scene from 0:58 - 1:00 the mermaid dancing water.. was that sinbad 3d?

  • @xXScarecrow187Xx So what?

I still don't see it being applied to games, except for a few.

  • those movie cant be fake.they must just have taken it from the real movies.

  • WTF, starting at 0:42 and on, those are just scenes from movies...

harry potter and the order of the phoenix

    transformers

    gi joe

    star trek

    ?

one of those crappy mummy movies

    They think we're stupid?

  • @RalphCQ how do you think they rendered those physx in the movies?? Its all physics its not like there REALLY is a transformer busting through the bridge. Think about it.

  • @RalphCQ Obviously, this demonstration is not what the video description says it is, but I underand your confusion. Possibly, those movie clips they showed were rendered using nVidia hardware or something.

  • @joertjoert Unfortunately, games will most likely NEVER have that level of detail/effects going on. Lots of programming, not to mention the cost of having to do it and the limitations of modern hardware (which isn't even being fully utilized as it is). There are only a few games that actually use Physx, and quite honestly, I don't see much of a difference, neither quality or performance wise.

  • @RalphCQ Don't say never, because that's most likely false.

  • Когда уже всё это будет в играх? Почему так долго?

  • To be honest i cant tell serious major difference between current gen console and high end pc. I understand they are better in high end PC's but its not good enough. Im still waiting for photo realistic or close to photo realistic.

  • @SolidTube911 That is a silly statement, most likely because you have never seen a proper high end pc, or even a good mid range PC.

The difference between maxed crysis 2 dx11 to the consoles is staggering. Consoles perform a useful role but being state of the art is not it. The hardware is five years old now.

  • @core2theright Yes i have, ive seen the original crysis and seen plenty of games with maxed out high end graphics card in the best PC's you can buy on the market...I can certainly tell that they look much better than consoles but i would never say the quality is a generation ahead. I dont know, maybe cause my expectation of a next gen graphics is high. I dont expect photo realistic graphics on next gen console but i would like to see far better than what i see on highest end PC's.

  • liquids need more work, idk why but it feels inorganic

  • its like on the onion-the movie, you buy a PC and by the time you walk out of the store its obsolete i know technical progress but this is just....

  • wow

  • implying pirating causes problems*

  • i doubt that those effects are capable on a todays cards, its far more cinematic look then current game's are able to show.. So this demo is kinda usseles.

  • @Flayinglaptop no no no, the harry potter escenes aré maked with nvidia quadro. Theta means the visual makers use Physx of Nvidia, like rayfire tool of 3ds max, this plug-in use Nvidia Physx

  • After I saw Harry Potter, I knew this was fake :(

  • Cool is not free..

  • Console: Communist gaming pc

  • @Antarktida1337 Agreed, consoles are terrible, but what exactly does pirating have to do with Phsyx?

  • @dderkas pirating on PC => less money for developers => developers are making games able to run on consoles and the PC at the same time to earn more money => no PhysX coz the game would be unplayable on consoles.

  • 2173: Iphone become Flashplayer

  • @supermariojackson you should know: Apple never wants a flashplayer, because flash is as save as the PSN... but I hate apple, too :D

  • 2073: what is the Matrix?

  • 2064: Digital Word War.

  • 2032: First human baby birth in a digital World.

  • I belive they showcased the use Nvidia processors to accelerate physics simulations for industrial applications.Look at the names at the end, they're all heavy, no gaming crap. This is serious, real time or not, you don't have the money for that so don't bother.

  • This calls for GTX 580 tri SLI with a 580 as dedicated PhysX. Or... maybe 2 generations of GPU from now...

  • If this would be realtime than im from moon. :D

  • I knew it. Transformers isn't a movie, it's a PhysX tech demo.

  • It probably took several days to render each of those scenes.

Now if they would prove it's realtime by presenting something interactive i'd be more "ooooh" instead of "meh".

    P.S: consoles suck, PC FTW

  • @zoebiflap Days!?, more like weeks using high-end render-farms!

  • Used Pixel Pro and FumeFX and it said it was an animation at the end

  • @zoebiflap I've seen realtime ones.

  • @zoebiflap i love u

  • @zoebiflap

    p.s: you're a douche

  • @zoebiflap

Realtime graphics like this wont happen before GPU computation power increases by multiple hundredfold and is affordable to the average consumer. Making games like this wont be profitable for the few hundred people with cutting edge dual gpu's.

We already have a 'problem' on PC with people using age old radeon 2600's and gts 7800 cards, hence forcing developers to still make everything in DX9 which is almost a decade old tech now.

If faster doesn't become cheaper we're stuck.

  • @zoebiflap and your a faggot. next

  • @zoebiflap

    You suck only but bigtime

  • @zoebiflap They were just showing what it had the ability to render, some graphics cards cant even take the time to render that stuff...

  • @zoebiflap You do know that this is for movies?

  • @WolfosDotOrg but in near future it will be in games

  • 3Ds Max + Fume FX + RealFlow + VRay = Realtime?

    Maybe in 100 Years...

  • This isn't physx nor is it realtime, FAKE AND GAY!!!!!!

  • @greyfoxzero the clips from beginning is physx realtime.

  • why physx show? its just a good animation ...

  • @ahmed4hunt

I agree there is no reason for the minimal amount of time/effort they put into games anymore to charge $60 a game. I use to buy a lot of games @ $30 because they were great games and a great price.

Now they pump out so many crappy games filled with bugs or they release a title like Far Cry 2 which is great but repetitive/boring that I no longer buy new games and wont spend more than $20. Gaming just isn't as good as it was back in 2000-2005.

  • @ahmed4hunt if there is no piracy then game developers and designers would feel more comfortable in making games for the pc rather than consoles,. With no piracy everyone would have to buy the game and they would make more money which makes them happier which makes them wanna make more and more games which brings in more money which increases innovation and make them make better games and maybe they could drop their prices (if they are nice :) you get what I mean. money make the world go round

  • DAT EXPLOSION

  • PhysX For Gaming Is A One Huge Scam. I Have 2X480 SLI

And I Play Mafia And All It Does Just Use Some Really Crappy Cloth Simulation

And Tiny Debris Falling On The Floor And It Cuts Down Your Framerates In Half.

There Probably Been 5 Games That Use PhsX During All These Years And They All Sucked.

  • @Tadddius Lol, have you played Batman Arkham Asylum? If not check out the Phsx to no Phsx comparison.

  • does geforce gtx have physx? im mostly thinking of 570 and 580..

  • @OnlyXfox

Course, all the GTX have PhysX.

GTX570 and 580 are the best GPU right now, so you'll be able to play every game with settings maxed out with no problems.

  • @OnlyXfox haha yes they have, my 3 y old 9600 gt have physX and CUDA

  • @nidzaPFC haha, nice B-D

  • If people did not pirate games then the Pc would have more games made for it. Look at Crytek for a prime example they have stopped going PC exclusive simply because people keep pirating the game.If you did not pirate the game then Crytek would probably go back to PC exclusives. to those who pirated Crysis thanks you have just fucked up the chance for PC exclusive titles from one of the best dev's out there.

  • @h0lyh4ck3r yeah now the game is going to be held back by the 5 year old hardware in the shitbox fuck60

  • @liamdudeeee A very very good point thank you piraters for fucking up PC exclusives and making us have to suffer for going back to 5 year old hardware from the shitbox 360 and the fuckstation 3 (Due to hardware it's more like 1)

  • @TheUseless909 I made you angry, mission completed...

  • Comment removed

  • The purpose of this video is to show how awesome would games be if there were no consoles and ppl didn´t pirate.

  • @Antarktida1337 thx i love u i think.

  • @Antarktida1337 yea but then i would need 100 000 euros to build PC, and buy new one every month

  • @nidzaPFC dude, 500 Canadian dollars will get you a decent gaming system that will pretty much run any game (though perhaps not maxed out but still..) that's about 400 euro's, and it will last you several years, perhaps more, depending how hardcore of a gamer you are.

  • @NickBlackDIN i fear that game developers take money from NVIDIA/ATI.

When it comes to graphics, only game worh mentioning is Crysis. You have lots of other bad optimized games with crap graphic, but high requirements..

  • @Antarktida1337 Thts impossible thts like saying how awesome life would be if people experienced true freedom.

  • @Antarktida1337 LOL do you really think games would improve in any way if people didn't pirate them? You really are an idiot!

  • @NutsandGuts hey video game developers wouldve made more money if people didnt pirated them, so they can pay more developers to make even more better physics engine. You're a dumbshit for pirating in the first place

  • @sharkie541 Yeah and more game developers would make more money if people donated their money to them for no reason, sure they'd make more money......Please I'd be more than happy to listen to your explaination on how it would make me a "dumbshit" to "pirate".

  • @NutsandGuts where have i mentioned donate, and how would the game industry make any money at all if, all people do is pirate them. soon there wont be any more games if they are not going to profit because of these damn pirating . your a dumbshit for not realising that. and even worse you even made a stupid reply to me which makes you look more like a dumbshit

  • @sharkie541 Listen pal, I play open source games and use open source software, open source software is just fine, I RARELY pirate anything, if people would support THOSE developers and not faceless corporations, games would be a lot better. By the way "your a dumbshit" says a lot about you buddy.

  • @NutsandGuts its good that at least you do buy games, but still there is no need for developers if there is no profit when people only pirates games. what i hate is, when people encouraging pirating, pirating is like stealing. so you and those other dumbshits encourage stealing by defending the piraters, why you advocate stealing? It takes millions of dollars to make a game, and the only ones are keeping those corps, and developers around is the ones who actually buys the games

  • @sharkie541 "you advocate stealing" nice strawman.

Guess who gets to live in a multi million dollar house with money from gamers, it surely isn't the developer ;-)

    By the way,

    /watch?v=Fw-MFeR8Frw

  • @NutsandGuts ha, thanks for showing me a video of your wonderous prophet and teacher. sure the developers dont live in the multimillion dollar mansion, but ywho ou do you pays them? how do they recieve their paycheck from? who invested the money into making the games. Money don't just come out of nowhere and certainly gamers are not going to form a line and give their money directly to the developers either

  • @Antarktida1337 Wow that's not even slightly factual

  • @Antarktida1337

    LOL

    "DON'T PIWATE!...*GURN GURN*...PIWATING IS WERY BWAD!

  • @Antarktida1337 Enjoy the little things, it will take the bitterness out of you... Regarding consoles if you can't have them or do not want them than that's you, but they don't fail their purpose because of that. And piracy... Meh. If it's reasonable to buy it, I do, if it is not...

  • @Antarktida1337 Yeah... fucking companys like SONY.. LG.. SAMSUNG etc... that make CD / DVD / BluRay and a BURNER device for all kinds of media.... those people are fucked up in the head giving away all the means to COPY any digital media... that sux bro =/

  • @Antarktida1337

    are you retarded?

give the consoles 2 years and that physx are standard.

    like the ragdoll engine.

  • @ComBacara lol u fail, no physX for consoles untill the new generation which is coming out in well.............in 5+ years?

  • @Antarktida1337

and you are the one that knows that?

You dont know what consoles are out in 2012-2015.

maybe the xbox 720 or ps4 and i bet that this engine will be a standard for the next gen.

  • @ComBacara it ´s simple, there is no new xBox coming out in 2012 for sure, X360 was endowed by Microsoft so they need to earn those money back first. Even if they release the PS4 at the end of 2012, they can use only limited number of physX objects coz of its static hardware again. and so on :/ Consoles are made for playing Mario, PCs are for everything else.

  • @Antarktida1337 Physx has gone went down hill since nvidia bought it. They aren't a good enough company to take it somewhere, it should have been big by now. Sticking on on their bulky slow gpus made it inefficient so the best bet is giving physics it's own core or someone making a separate chip again.

  • @Antarktida1337 Physx has gone went down hill since nvidia bought it. They aren't a good enough company to take it somewhere, it should have been big by now. Sticking it on their bulky slow gpus made it inefficient so the best solution is processing it on a separate core. Dedicating a 200w gpu to physics is $110 in wasted electricity per year.

  • @Antarktida1337 for every good thing comes a bad thing internet good but because of it pirating extremely good xD

  • @Antarktida1337 and if people buy graphic cards/crap like the gtx 580! if i need a sli high end gaming rig only to play a game... i go watching tv! (not in hd, not in 3d!)

  • @Antarktida1337 Yeah well too bad, good luck stopping 2 multi-billion dollar companies from producing consoles. Oh, and also, good luck stopping over 50,000,000 piraters everywhere, and good luck shutting down all video game pirating sites such as piratebay and minanova.... Dumbass hahaha your wish will never come true XD

  • @Antarktida1337

Cloud Gaming is the answer. 2014 = end of fucking consoles and fucking high end home pcs. The beginning of Super Server Games :))) This i swear you.

  • @Antarktida1337

2018 = The beginning of Quantum Server Games. The end of friendship and sporting activity.

  • @Antarktida1337

2022: First Wedding with a digital Woman. Digital World become the first laws.

  • @supermariojackson "2022: First Wedding with a digital Woman."

I can clearly tell that this already happened, and 2 times! Search for anime weddings in Asia ^^

  • @Antarktida1337

    fuck lol

  • @Antarktida1337 There isnt that good processor who can render all this in small amount of time ..

  • @hackerisslv of course not in this measure, i´d be satisfied if PhysX like in Mirrors Edge, Cryostasis, Mafia 2, hair demos etc. was standard for modern games. But coz of consoles, nobody is bothering with this technology in PC versions.

  • @Antarktida1337 Pirating has nothing to do with it. Developers and publishers are quite frankly, greedy. They're saying the same about second hand purchases. If you don't release a demo or give other DLC to consoles months before the PC, do you REALLY expect it to sell as well? Optimisation on PCs costs more than on consoles too. Piracy barely comes into it apart from a lame excuse for their crappy marketing. Look at Valve's take on piracy for example.

  • @Antarktida1337 and people were rich enough to upgrade their card every year, you missed that out

  • @kahuna3901 True but if we spend our money on games, without new HW they are useless. And you cant download for free HW :/

  • @Antarktida1337

implying pirating games is a detriment to the multi billion dollar industry

  • @Antarktida1337 In other words if people didn't put their money on anything else but games :)

  • @Antarktida1337 If there wouldn't be any crappy ass games that you complete after 6 hours then there already would be much less pirating.

  • @Praylv

Yea, sure, JUST crappy 6 hour games are piratet..... -.-

They pirate EVERY game, no matter if it is a 6 hour Call of Duty or a 100+ hours X3-Terran Conflict or Oblivion etc. And fair gamers must pay for it.

There is no excuse for pirating

  • @Usul75 Unless it is to acquire an old game that is and may never be sold again.

  • This isn't a PhysX demo, it's just clips of movies and stuff made in a 3d program

  • No Physx there at all, what a load of crap. All pre-rendered movie quality footage.

  • Nvidia physx .... =

    39487 Ghz CPU;

    8794111546487897954 DDR 123 RAM;

    geforce gtx 98745464 513124123GB......

    O_o

  • @MR88Hungary

    LOL.

  • NVIDIA fanboys detected. Yes, PhysX will be useless in future because of OpenCL. Also this only synthetic shit. And we won't see this in games.. in close future

  • @plandercozeron

well its not the future yet so this is the best yet buddy.

  • @plandercozeron

No one gives a shit about OpenCL in the game dev industry; the only company who's even shown a slimmer of interest besides AMD, is Apple, and they know less about games/3d simulations than pretty much every company out there. Fact is CUDA does the job very well, and NVIDIA has a ton of support for it. Game Developers will go with the most stable/supported solution and for the moment it is CUDA.

  • @plandercozeron

And no I'm not an NVIDIA fanboy, it's just that given ATI and AMD's history of being shit when it comes to dealing with anything on the software end. I'd hold my tongue before announcing that something would be useless in the future.

  • @plandercozeron

I use PhysX, Sly Open GL and Direct X all in same Time what say you now?

  • nvidias physx demo my ass

these things are prerendered and calculated with 3ds max, realflow and various programs/plugins...

    misleading title.

  • physx will be useless in the future...

they already know that they can improve better on cpu with SSE2 =)

  • @nahuel2222

SSE2... There's already SSE4, but the fact is that CPU's are not optimized on the HARDWARE level to do parallel tasks. GPU's are the way of the future considering that we will likely never see a silicon based CPU clocked higher than 5ghz under room temperature. If you doubt this then you should take a look at the software VReveal and the benchmarks it has for CPU vs GPU. A 9800gtx+ is faster than the latest i7.

  • I knew it was fake when professor dumbledore showed up.

  • @wasteofspace1234 Why r u watchin this when u dont know whats about?? U just saw the ball in flames at 0:29

  • thats why im using nvidia

  • of course the people claiming this is pre-rendered are missing the point--it's showing off a simulation technology, not a game; you're not supposed to be able to control it

but because you can't control it, they're actually right, in a way

this stuff would look the same even if it WERE pre-rendered

technology for interaction with complex worlds is much more interesting than non-interactive simulation is

but it's also harder for people to imagine, so they aren't much impressed by its absence

  • @Bananadine prerendered or not... these examples were not done by nvidia GPU nor nvidia software (physx).. these are all simulation done one the cpus by different plugin softwares for different 3d apps.. basicaly very far from anything that's physx...

  • Pre rendered animations..

  • @dragefyr They aren't moving each particle by hand. There's a difference between something not recording in realtime and something being animated.

  • of course there is for the CG scenes where characters are moving but the smoke particles and other stuff is the physx

  • Impossible to tell the difference between real life and this.

  • @FRURMELLL if that's the case, then this is a failure--because it and real life are the same, except in that one runs on expensive hardware, whereas the other just happens for free

  • Virtual reality within 20 years = HDR / Ray Tracing / Ultra HD / Physx

  • Yea this isn't realtime, there just animations.

  • @botuts you never played with the physx stuff huh

  • @reignofcrimson i have but if you look at the original footage they say its just animation, not physx and if u see at the end it said "PixelPro 3d Animation"

  • @botuts It's probably not realtime but it's not an animation. They aren't moving each particle by hand.

  • @botuts well actually all the demos before the movie clips are realtime demos. They weren't realtime in this clip obviously.

  • @botuts but with physx plug ins

  • @botuts phys x is a real time engine fuck tard

  • @botuts Stil awsome!

  • @botuts but in future it will be rendered at 30 fps ;)

  • @botuts

Animations that can't be done without physx

  • @botuts It could of easily be done realtime though, they prerendered in case it crashed or became laggy mid-presentation.

  • MAN that is beautiful

  • CryEngine 4 / 5? ^^
