This is the greatest thing I've ever seen anywhere made only that much more poignant by the fact that nothing I do will even come close to being in the same stratosphere of greatness as what I've just witnessed.
Those were the days of just havng fun and dancing.I agree that today's kid are fatter. Not only did we socialize more IN PERSON,we had mandatory physical education in school. That meant putting on the gym clothes, running the track, playing sports.Today, kids are lacking in social development and their fat asses never leave the video game chair
I forgot how skinny we used to be. I remember being hungry a lot but always having to wait for lunch or dinner.(didn't have much of a choice). Now there are way too many choices. We eat whenever we feel the slightest bit hungry! Plus food was served in way smaller portions.Remember when there were no refills. (except tea and coffee). I guess food has replaced the rampant drug, cigarette, and booze abuse that was so prevalent back then. I don't miss the misguided fashion. What were we thinking?
Roller Boogie is being shown Friday, January 14, 2011 at 11:00pm PT on KTLA channel 5.3 in Los Angeles. For more info go to ThisTV (com).
Roller Boogie
Original Release Date: Dec 19, 1979
Love is born to boogie in this electrifying romantic adventure about a Beverly Hills teen (Linda Blair) who falls head over wheels for a boy from the wrong side of the roller rink! It's the ultimate fast-paced, freewheeing '70s roller romp!
You can get this on Amazon on dvd. I hope it will become available on blu ray also. This movie captures the unique music, clothes, roller skates, and fun of the last years of the 1970s. Something you'll probably not see repeated again in history.
The funny thing about that last guy that tried to jump the cans is that the stunt man had to skate extremely well in order to look like he's gonna fall without actually falling.
Hey! The first minute of this footage is set on the exact location and camera angles as my favorite classic brilliant Orson Welles b/w movie, "Touch of Evil" (1958) I should've known! I already knew it was filmed in Venice in LA, California!
It was just better then, because people engaged in something physical, instead of sitting on their asses just chatting or whatever...I remember wearing a bathing suit as a top! That became the style!
Thats what i would have said to me if i was in you position.
But cmon, can you really love being older, it just means your time is running out.
It is a fact that people look back on their younger times as being better because they were younger which just makes it seem better. You want to recapture the feelings and experiences you had in your youth because you can't escape the fact that life was better when you were younger.
@colekrieger69 You are an idiot. She was right in that kids back then did more things physically, played in the street and were more active. Most kids today are glued to facebook or text messaging all day.
Linda is wonderful in this movie..rumor has it..that she got a bad case of bursitius on her hip. While she was doing her roller boogieing scenes with Mr.Bray. I can only hope and pray that that is not true.
i liked the part where he ejaculated lubricant into the skate wheel after it was penetrated by the mount. this movie looks amazing! sometimes i'm sorry to have only clipped the 70s in infancy, the problem with the present - when i skate dance down the street nobody is lingering around eager to join in, pout. "if there's something you want, better get down on it" cher says. well then...
Eh, maybe not anymore, but I was once. Hey, I didn't say there was anything wrong with being gay, matter of fact I WISH someone would make that assumption now, at least that would give me some indication I'm taking care of my body.
