i got this set back in the early 80's when i was about 7 or 8yrs old. i still have but might be missing some bits in the loft. you can buy these sets for about £325.00. i might get mine out and see if i can re-build it.

i wish modern day lego was more like this. i'm sad to say that i grew out of lego once i couldnt complete my favorite sets that became obsolete. lego lions vs bulls castle sets were my favorite :o anyone remember those? and my mum gave me the instructions for this castle along with all her red, yellow black white and blue bricks. classic stuff compared to the batman/ indiana jones/ modern day castle crap thats sold nowadays. even bionicle and lego technic are rubbish now.

I had this set. It had a bazillion bricks that you could make all sorts of stuff with. If you looked at my lego box, you'd see a lot more yellow then any other color.

I remember, like it was yesterday, when santa brought me this set. I was only 5 years old and went completely nuts after unwrapping it! Thanks for bringing back my happy memories!

ps. I gave this set (few bricks missing tho) to my son and he was as glad as I was almost 30 years ago! These old lego sets rule!
