我國歷史上,有「三司會審」的制度,即是由中央政府的三位部門主­管聯合審理「有組織及嚴重罪案」。

「三司」是1.「都察院左都御使」,海瑞曾任此職,相當於國父主­張成立的「監察院」的院長,亦相當於香港的「廉政專員」。2.大­理寺丞,即「最高法院」的院長。3.刑部尚書,即法務部長,相當­於香港政府的「律政司長」。

另外,對於死刑案也有規定,在執行死刑之前,必須向中央朝廷滙報­三次,這樣便可以令犯人的親人或朋友有足夠時間去搜集反面証據,­洗脫嫌疑。

今天的中國大陸,其司法制度缺陷百出,連古代也比它完善!!!.­

I don't know Chinese. Can anyone please explain to me what the princess said to Qin Xianglian that made Justice Pao change his mind and execute Chen Shimei? Also, what did Justice Pao say to the (mother queen?) that finally made her give up and not prevent the execution anymore?

The princess forced Qin's children to change their surename but Qin insisted their rights.

Pao was agitated and changed his mind of not to confront with imperial family, he sacrificed his career to execute the sentence. The Queen Mom threatened Pao that his career (and probably his life) will be jeopardised for such act. The moment that the Queen Mom gave up was that Pao borrowed the holy sword, which was conferred by the emperor for the conferree to represent the emperor's rule.

Jutice Pao: The holy sword represents the Emperor's presence (which actually means Pao acts and decides on behalf of the Emperor).

Mother Queen: The holy sword was granted by royal family. The royal family reserves the right to take it back.

Justice Pao: Your highness, do you know 'the Emperor's word is no joke'?

looks like TVB has done an excellent in restoring this SUPER CLASSIC series. The quality is very good considering this drama is over 15 years old. I wish TVB will actually sell this, I only managed to download half.
