His Neutrality is important as he is the representative of all Americans, not just Catholic Americans.

He should be as neutral as the 1st amendment requires, however increasingly convenient the interpretation of that becomes. However, when using a given and deliberately chosen location such as this for an address, it is a matter of distinction , class and decency to allow the place to be what it is and not to so alter the unique location. If he made such a move at an analogous location (mosque for example), I may disagree with the choice of venue, yet would still let it be what place it is.
