  • Best arcade machine i was played with this cabinet

  • sega should make one that takes off...Then you'd be totally screwed and definately no replay...

  • Did I hear Space Harrier in the background? "Welcome to the fantasy zone..."

    Where is this place?

  • @tubeyou010180

    Yeah, definitely SH

  • i swear, this cabinet never fucking worked....every single time i'd be out at peter piper pizza.

  • my all-time favorite back in the day.

  • HELP! I'm trying to remember the name of a flying game from the early to mid 90's.

The "Cabinet" was a sit down cockpit type thing with dark grey roll bars around it. It was pretty big and sat on a platform as I recall The game moved pretty much in all directions. I think you flew with two aviation styled joysticks and the game took place in space I think.

Sorry I don't remember much about it, even though it was a very cool game. I do recall flying through some tunnels though.

    Anyone know it?

  • @janX9

    Galaxy Force 2 by Sega

  • Still a cool looking unit! I wanna play now!!!

  • Cool, what is this, an all Sega arcade? Awesome AB2 cabinet.

  • anybody know where i can buy this arcade

  • This game was the reason why I went to the arcade in the early 90's. I even had got into a fight at Chuck e Cheese over this game, lol.

  • I want see the bike game playing (over the AB2)

  • @inlineskater007 It's SEGA's Hang On! game.

  • hell, i wish arcades were still around, you can not get the pleasure of waisting quarters by playing an xbox, you need to go to an arcade with about 5 other friends and play some real games damn it. Just dont see it anymore.

  • He's not using the throttle! WTF!

  • Played this at a local arcade today. Too bad the cabinet didn't move, even though it originally did. I love this game, but I suck terribly at it.

  • I miss actual arcades ;_;

  • HEHE i think the local arcade at my coastal holiday resort (old and cheesy place) still has this - if it has im gettin my vid cam in there lol

  • @SenorChito The Japanese still make games like this (after burner climax has a set up similar to this.) and I once say a homebrew full 360 motion version of it.

  • i want one of those so bad. i could only afford the stand up tho haha

  • Wasn't there something like this in the movie "Terminator 2: Judgement Day"?

  • @mkend3 yep, it was this arcade machine that John Connor was playing!

  • @mkend3 yes this is it

  • That thing looks so awesome... wish i could play one.

  • Old school arcade heaven!!!

  • I loved that thing!

  • All it needs now is "Danger Zone" playing while you shoot down all the MiGs.

  • This is one of my favorite arcade games!

  • that's tom cruise on the arcade cabinet side art in the helmet giving the thumbs up!

  • Where is this at? I can see Hang-On and a bit of the Outrun cabinets and hear Space Harrier in the background. If Space Harrier and Outrun are the awesome moving cabinet versions, I NEED to go there.

  • I want watch playing the bike game (back After Burner cockpit).

    Thank you uproad this video

  • Great classic arcade cabinet!!

  • @lanpart1 imagine finding one on ebay.

  • Everytime I've been to Hershey park it's been out of order. :(

  • I remember playing this along time ago. Was awesome back then the cockpit made the game feel real 3D and thats what afterburner really should be. An arcade game not a home console game.

  • yes, I have the genesis version and it suck a lot

  • one of the coolest arcade games ever made

  • background music is Egg venture videogame from 1997 =D

  • This arcade game was so fricken cool! It was my favorite video game at the local bowling alley back in the day...it will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine.

  • meh, i wouldnt buy this for home, i have 3 arcade games dwnstrs, but games like these seem 2 need constant technical attention, nice vid tho man!!!! :)

  • o my goodnesss..this brings back memories..

  • When I get my own house, I'm buying this for my game room (I wish... it's $4k on ebay right now!)

  • I have this game downstairs but its movement is broken now :(. going to have to get it fixed soon. Stupid friend broke it.

  • They (anyone) should make home arcades. I mean not just add ons but mini arcade systems like this. That'd be so awesome! =D

  • How did arcades ever go out of style?

  • Microchips got cheap and small, then game Nintendo, xbox 360, PS3,... you know how it goes.

However I would like to see these virtual cockpits again.

  • Yeah, but you can't get this kind of experience on a couch. We need more arcades damn it!

  • @SonicPsycho Fuck Yeah I hate hoew there dying.

  • I played the standup version. Does this one also have forcefeedback flightstick?

  • I have this cockpit. It rocks.

  • I hear Egg Venture in the background. can you stop this music at the next video?

  • COOL GAME.

  • WOW this is amazing

  • This is my dream machine! I'd pay to own one of those babies!!

No! Rather, an arcade full of the best arcade games of the 80s and early 90s!

  • I love hearing Space Harrier in the background.

  • Who cares about the game? I want to see the game's original seatbelt!

  • i guess you never noticed it has a throttle lever, your leg matter is covering it.

  • lol, pwned

  • LOL LOL

    FAIL

  • What year is this from 1989?

  • there is a sticker on the side of the cabinet that reads "FIRST FLIGHT 7-26-1986"

that is when the game was first released to the public/finished/produced/demoed at the AMOA show

  • Wow, I must've gave half my life's savings playing this version of Afterbuner in the 80s. Thanks for the memories :)

  • the one cool feature of the cockpit version of after burner i never could get to check out (until i find a cockpit version of AB in the near future) is the headphone jack thingy. btw, was that the music from Egg Venture?
