  • What song were you playing when you're guitar was set to clean. It sounded really cool, reminded me of The Kinks haha:)

  • I love your bridge pickup :D

  • is that still only a custom color if so how much

  • the guitar of my dreams

  • well im gunna try to learn the 2nd to last

  • look at that 6th string wobble.

  • you´ve got to be glad that you can play this guitar for yourself!

  • The bit at 1:42 is something I made up. mwuahahahah

  • Would also like to know the name of song @ 1:42.

  • Is it a good deal to get this for $500?

  • @Horaciow14 if its in good condition its a very good deal. bc this is no longer made, just the 65 reissues. this is a 1000 dollar guitar, so buy it. lol

  • guys we stll don't know the song from 1:42 :( does anyone know? please pm me..

  • @genemir i think its dumpweed by blink 182

  • WHAT IS THE SONG AT 1:43

  • Fender Mustang and Orange Amps? Exactly what I use for The Pillows since Manabe uses Oranges and Mustangs too. It's a good pair.

  • @TheEternalLeader The Pillows as in the guys who did the FLCL music?

  • @Pandanobear Yep! They did all the soundtracks for that anime and are a great band!

  • @TheEternalLeader So they DID use Orange! I knew it!

  • @Pandanobear Well, Manabe does. He uses an Orange Overdrive 120 I think it was and he used to use a Fender Mustang but I think he started to use a Les Paul recently. Sawao, the singer and other guitarist uses a Twin Reverb and a Fender Mexican Cyclone or something. There's a couple videos here on Youtube where the band shows you how to play each of their parts in "Hybrid Rainbow" and they go through all their equipment. You can find Manabe's by typing "Yoshiaki Manabe Demo (English Subs)"

  • weezer

  • Cool sounds. I likey.

  • what is the song ?

  • what riff are you playing between 1:43 and 1:58?

  • MUSTANG sound is so clean.Good Job!

  • Very Nice

  • the bucket-kings of leon

  • Grunch! new word invented for the sound x']

  • Comment removed

  • JUST bought one of these. What is the difference between this and the 65 RI?

  • i'm in love with this sound.

  • is that all you know how to play

  • Nice Weezer Dudee!

  • also if i put in new pick ups and a pedal on my begginers guitar will it make it sound like a reall guitar

  • hey i just started playing the guitar and i need some tips on how to switch from d to g

  • Nice. I -3 Muse! :D I'm building one of these from scratch right now. I'm changing the bridge cause the official one wasn't any good. I'm also making the neck a little longer. It'll sound loud and mean. :D

  • Muse old stuff are bad-ass. New stuff and overrated by them get old and annoying. But Muse is a good band :)

  • the guitar actually looks like a ford mustang i dont know it sort of does...

    At lieast in my mind...

  • are those stock pickups?

  • Woot for Muse!

  • what´s the name of the first song you play in this vid? self-invented?

    thanks in advance!

  • it's very similar to the kurt cobain's mustang

  • hi what are you playing starting from 1:44?

  • what riff do you play from 0:10 to 0:53? sounds awesome. i've got my eyes on one of these

  • Olympic white is super nice, super classy. I suggest you go for that 65, you're gonna love that guitar. Also, I'd like to point out that daphne blue is not horrible. I have one and love it! :)

A pickup change is a good thing on these guitars, too.

  • im getting the 65 RI in olympic white. its 500 pounds in my music store. is it a good colour choice and is it better than the 69? i love the sonic blue colour but they dont make it for 65 and 69 is only in japan lol and theres no way im resorting to ebay rip offs. the daphine blue on the 65 looks horrible, its too light. i like the red and the white colours of the olympic but its so annoying lol

  • what song did you play at 1:35? was it something by American Football?

also, the riff just after that. I know that one too.

  • @patobrien10 i think it was muse, although if that song sounds like something else they probably ripped that idea off anyway

  • @DylanCooperMusic You find them on sale on Ebay all the time. My advice, don't do it. I've had both the '65 and '69 reissues, and the '65 reissue is superior. Sure, the '69 has the nice body forearm and tummy contours, but that's the only thing better about it. The bridge saddles on a '69 RI are undersized and move a bit from side to side. Also, it's made of basswood, which is not vintage correct. The '65 RI has a nice poplar body, has body shielding, and full-sized bridge saddles.

  • How does the switching work?

  • The switch for the neck pickup is the one closer to the neck, and the bridge pickup switch closer to the bridge.

When he puts the switch to his right, it turns the pickup on. When he switches it to his left, it turns it off.

So when both are right, both pickups are on. When only one is to the right and the other is to the left, only the one that's to the right is on.

Or do you mean how it works technically?

  • @666lucky13 when the switch is on the middle, the pickup is off. when it's on your right,it's out of phase and when it's on your left it's on,but normal.

  • nice video man, is that made in japan?

  • wad body is this made of?!

  • @icyha0 poplar

  • is it just me or does the daphne blue '65 reissue look the same as the sonic blue??

  • @Dablob1000 its you xD i have them in both colors and lemme tell you theres a huge difference :P

  • nice demo what song do play at 0:59

  • @FreakyGguitarplayer9 Supermassive Black Hole by Muse

  • Comment removed

  • What's the song you play at 1.41?

  • SURF WAX AMERICA!!!!! BOOYAH!

  • Ok what happens if you push both switches forward

  • I want to like the the 1969, but they always seem a little more clunky than the 1965.

  • really nice demo.. !

  • sweet tiny terror. i love it

  • I kinda want a mustang now but switching pickups mid song would be very difficult!

  • @MedicineMelanch0ly no it's not

  • nice, dude

  • What was that distorted/overdriven sound? what pedal?

  • I love how the Mustang has a tone all its own. Neither the Strat or Tele can do that jangly-grindy sound. Neat demo.

  • song at the beginning?

  • i just bought one of these today.. so smexy

  • what are playing in the beggining sound familiar

  • whats the difference between the mustangs pickups and a strats

  • hahaa some twilight jam 1:00 hahahaha love that song lol very smooth hand movement...........

the telecaster was by far the best fender product ever.... just ask keith urban

  • @rdiyglgalne no not twilight, muse....

  • hahaa some twilight jam 1:00 hahahaha love that song lol

  • where are mustangs made U.S.A or mexico?... btw that demo has made me want to get one... :L

  • @FrancisPit Japan. USA ones only in the 60's and 70's.

  • i like gibson more but this is great sound

  • OMG I Love The Blue Color

It fits the pickguard so perfectly (:

  • they cost wayyyyy to much in america

  • im totally...saving money buying this guitar great guitar... great playing too rock on!

  • do they still make mustangs

  • Comment removed

  • I want this guitar. :(

  • @1024steven hey there man, you said mustangs from £400 i can only find £600 reckon you could point these £400 pnes out ? thwnks

  • what does in and out if phase mean?

  • @shoekstra1419 I.D.K. but it sounds wrong.

  • I got a new mustang from a garage sale, the price $200, those guys clearly didn't know what this is worth

  • @Taboas2013 you lucky son of a bitch!!! lol

  • What's the scale length of this guitar?

    It sounds great.

  • Check out Kevin Devine Brothers Blood.. He rocks a Mustang

  • how much was it?

  • @emoguy372

Im getting one its about 939.99 on amazon.com

But if you want the same blue/reddish one he or she has

You might want to check out Ebay its about 1000 and something lol

  • whats the ultimate guitgrunge/hardrock guitar? in the 600 pound price range

  • @MeanGreenMovies Squier Jagmaster, a normal Fender Strat with or without a humbucker, Gibson SG, Gibson Melody Maker... Most grunge comes from your amp, often with a pedal, like fuzz.

  • @MeanGreenMovies Whatever feels good and sounds good to you. Seriously, people get far too hung up on this question. I know people who play metal on Rickenbackers and I know people who play jazz on pointy shred machines. One of my favorite videos on youtube features Adrian Smith from Iron Maiden playing a Squier Telecaster. There is no wrong guitar for your genre. Find one that you think looks awesome. That way you'll pick it up and play it all the time.

  • @Visionism thanks for the help, i suppose i never really thought of that, but its just soooooo many demos (this one NOT included) have amazing valve stack amps, which make the guitar sound better than it does on a normal combo practice amp which is really annoying but yeah this demo is epic, and forget genre i just want a thick meaty sound, btw im more likely gonna buy pedals than a new guitar, so could you recommend any crunchy distortions or any thick gooey fuzz, or an awesome EVH lik flanger

  • @MeanGreenMovies Van Halen style flanger is easy. Dunlop make an EVH signature model flanger. For thick fuzz you could do worse than look at a big muff. But dont take my word for it. You'd be missing a golden opportunity to walk into a music store and say "Show me your muff" (Yes, I may be forty but I have the sense of humor of a twelve year old)

  • @Visionism EVH flanger is out of my budget, i can pay £80-100 depending on how long i wanna save up

  • @MeanGreenMovies take a look at a electro hormanix small clone sry for the bad spelling

  • @Visionism ually i take a part of that reply back hes usong a tiny terror, i thought this was another video of the same guitar

  • u kno how much i hate u

  • what does out of phase mean

  • what kind of pickups are those?

  • what is that riff that comes after supermassive black hole?? anybody?

  • What does out of phase mean?

  • what kind of riff is that?? :S

  • supermassive black hooooooooole

  • How much for it?

  • @Mebemax its around £400-£1000 for a mustang depending what you want P:

  • You have some fast melody right there. Nice Guitar. But you don't strum too well. I prefer hearing you plucking.

  • whats the song at 2.12

  • thnkx for the demo, awesome sound in the little bastard ! (L)

  • I've just bought it, and it sounds fuckin' lovely.

  • I love mustangs but the whammy bar system is so useless. The way you do it with manually moving the bridge sounds great though

  • how is this guitar to play blues on?

    Btw good guitar play

  • hahaha super massive black hole nice

  • what is the song u play after the muse one? with the clean tone.

  • thanks for the clean demo!!!

  • supermassive black hole?

  • Are these pickups stock? They sound really cool

  • is it a sonic blue or daphne blue ? and if it's a sonic WHERE CAN I GET IT?

  • @iseeallvidz It's a sonic blue '69 reissue. Unfortunately not on sale anymore, so you gotta look on eBay and 2nd hand places.

  • Officially "Sonic", but looks more like Daphne (I had one the same color) :)

  • simon taylor davis from klaxons has a lefty of that exact guitarrr

  • Thank you Short Scale demonstrator and Thank you Leo Fender!

  • nice muse

  • sick guitar dude!

  • SURFWAX baby!

  • yo what song is that starting at 1:42

  • Sounds like a variation of Little Martha by the Allman Bros (Duane Allman) on Eat a Peach.

  • wow, first vid I've seen where you didn't talk for 5 minutes preceding the music.

    Good one,

    Dm

  • great weezer

  • its supermassive black hole

  • damn, I know the song at 1:00 but I can't remember the title: can someone freshen up my memory :)

  • KOL The bucket! Tabs, please

  • What's going on with those knobs? Are they both on full or what?

Beautiful guitar though, I love my Mustang.

  • Tele is better

  • Still a nice guitar but... I bought a vintage 72 Mustang awhile ago and...

It blows this thing out of the water. The orginals are always better constructed and generally sounds much better.

  • I had an original '72 back in the day. I wish I still had it. I remember the pup's in mine were a little darker than the 69 reissue I have now. That one is so much brighter. I do miss the '72 though.

  • i see u played some muse :P lol

  • I just fell in love with this guitar

  • what did u play at 1:42?

  • me 2 somebody message me about 1:42 song

  • I made that bit up!

  • this guitar made in japan

  • hows the feel of that guitar

  • maybe i'm gonna buy a mustang. i think i'm gonna replace the pickups for texas special neack and bridge pickups

  • get a jaguar :), mustang and strat have too much resemblance i find.

  • You find wrong.

  • I love the "out of phase" setting on the pups...sounds so unique and twangy, LOVE IT :)

  • Cool stuff, I have justbought one today, could u explain the individual pick up switches a bit more to me?

  • Not much to explain - three position switch controls each pickup. Middle pos is off, other positions affect the phase. So, if you have the front switch forward and the rear one back (or vicey versey) you have you pickups in opposite phase, which gives a sort of "quacky" sound and also results in less hum. (a humbucker is two pickups in opposite phase combined in one unit - you are sort of turning your two single coils on the mustang into one big humbucker)

  • nice guitar

  • Nice sound and u play amazing :P

  • I'm liking the Weezer at 2:00

  • hating the pickups

  • was that a strokes riff at 2:07 ish ? this guitar looks good on ya man.

  • kings of leon

  • i love 1.44 till 1.57... fucking well done mate!

  • woow!!

  • it sounds muddy with fuzz. im thinking about buying one of these...when u palm mute is it easy to accidentally activate the tremolo and knock urself out of tune?

  • What is the name of the song you were playing at 2:07? I like it.

  • i'm pretty sure there's no place to screw one on just from looking at the bridge. you are a DOLT!

  • you mean im ADULT. yay!

    also, cunt!

  • what..?

i was talking about no place to screw in a tremolo bar. so he couldn't have played with one.

  • What the fuck. There's a hole right on the fucking bridge. It's made to put a trem arm in there.
