  • Excellent sermon excerpt

  • This is me. I confess and I am ashamed to say that I do not spend enough time in God's Word. Paul, God bless you for this message. May this message convict all our hearts with the power of the Holy Spirit.

  • What sermon is this?

  • @mell8519 Amen

  • I'm ashamed to say I'm not constantly nourished by the word.

  • im very sad today, and what paul is preaching is true!

I just vistited a freinds church and im ashamed to say,but its all about shows, programs, and so on,Lord im so sorry what we have done to your churches,

iv always felt like John the baptis,I dont belong in churches i belong out and about,Preaching and reaching whom ever God wants!

  • Let me just say something I've learned. Many times we pray over and over asking for answer. Ask a few times,It will be answered. Many times we just keep asking over and over never stoping to listen. Ask a few times then forget about it. Before you know it a few days down the road the Holy Spirit answers . I can't tell you how many times God has answered me when I was not even thinking about it. I might be at work thinking about that, then bam out of no where,Oh now I see. Thank You Father

  • if you become a bible worshipper your in idolatry and will go to hell, as any other idolatry if you hear my voice Today, man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, Today!!!!

  • @lex7100 My guess is you reject historical Christianity?

  • @lex7100 First of all your logic fails miserably. When Jesus was tested in the desert (which is in the Bible that you say is evil) He quoted scripture not fresh sayings but truths of God proclaimed in scripture. There are heresies and just lunacy, your idea falls into the second category, how can written word that points to God be opposed to God?

  • WORD OF GOD (BIBLE)IS ALL YOU HAVE!!!! only 66 books in your hand and memorized in your head, the bible letter is the mark of the beast!!!

  • @lex7100 What a moron! If not for the bible, we would know nothing of God. Do you seriously think the Holy Spirit would come down and guide you without any shred of the bible? Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

  • if the bible is an idol in your life you will be lableled an idol worshipper and not a worshipper of God which is in truth and spirit not letter the letter kills!!!

  • the bible was not the gift the Father had promised the gift is the Holy Spirit, you cant stand before God on judgement day and say you followed a book!!! Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit the first century church had no bibles only the spirit. the bible is a historic account of how the spirit moved thru his children but it is not meant to be our guide for it is paper and ink which Paul told us not follow,

  • Thank you for posting this... May we (born again believer) use the strength God has given us to destroy this curse from the very root...

  • So often we plan our relationship with God.. Okay today Im reading this much I have to get up and pray this much.. Theres nothing wrong with that BUT how long must you do that? Be lead by the Holy Spirit thrist for the truth.. POWERFUL MESSAGE!

  • Is not about doing something is about BEING SOMETHING!! <---Wow!!! Jesus open our eyes O God

  • How do I enter into the presence of God? Can everyone pray for me so that I may have a healthy relationship with God; thank you. God Bless you all.

  • I deny the Bible is the written word of God , because I have read it and it makes testable claims which are false , such as the order of creation in Genesis. I think Iron age mythology is more likely. It seems unlikely that an omniscient God would be prone to rages.

  • How can one be doing sunday worship if they have studied their bible? For anyone can read that saturday is sabbath, not sunday. Guess Paul doesn't read as well as he speaks. Paul is just another false speaker from the buildings. Come out of her people, they are all liars.

Ex 20:8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

  • @MinisterQuietBuck Well it just says remember it doesnt say worship, all you have to do is rest on the sabbath, you dont really have to worship on saturday

  • What message is this from? I would like to know PLEASE! :D

    Thank you so much!

  • I'm HUNGRY for the Word of God, om nom nom nom nom nom! MEMORIZE SCRIPTURE, look up "If My Word Abides in You" by John Piper!

  • the bible is perfect with no contradictions or inaccuracies.

    watch?v=CccaGaKOlSI

    this video will prove everything.

I don't understand how atheists can be so deluded!!!

  • @Shirleyxia74 Hi, I understand how they can be so deluded. They are fed with worldly and deceitful thinking every day, mocking others to feel better about themselves (like the video you linked), they are blinded by their desires.. Rom 1,18-31 explains much. If you actually bothered to study these so called contradictions and learned from someone that is not still as blind as yourself, you may find what you are not looking for... Hope you do:)

  • wow powerful

  • I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. Psalm 138:2

If God has magnified his word above his own name, how much importance do you think God puts on it?

  • We are to study to show ourselves approved, why? If we do not know Him, His character, His specific Word, then we are easily lead to decept. The FBI teaches it men to spot counterfiet by giving them one Good Bill, They must study it so completly, they can immediately spot counterfiet. We are to be accurate in His Word. Know Him, Know what is truth and what is deception from the enemy.

  • AMEN! AMEN! That's what I call powerful preaching.

  • How can a religious person stand against all of the gates of HELL (logic, reason, and sense that secientists and others make)? By studying his Bible more (brainwashing himself)!!

  • @JohnnieNaked

Yes. Because we believe that the world will brainwash us, if we don't brainwash ourselves in the Word of God.

The bible has the truth - the world has the lies.

The wisdom of God will make the "wise" men in this world, look like fools.

  • Once again Preaching the truth

  • "It's not about doing something..." ..it's about knowing Someone.

And that means finding out what they've done and who they are, as well as listening when they (~ God) speak. If your god acts in a way completely contrary to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, then he isn't God. Jesus is God, the Lord. But you need to read the word in order to discern him so as to avoid deception - which is by no means uncommon.

  • A false prophet, a wolf in sheeps clothing will sound very much like a Christian teaching and saying many good and right things but if they deny the Bible is the written word of God they are a liar and the truth is not in them leading others away from our faith in Jesus. This message spoke to my heart and I know that the reason for my many compromises I have in my life is because of not feasting upon and giving heed to God's word. Run from all who say the Bible is not God's word.

  • Thank you for the warning dear friend!!!! The truth always comes to light! AMEN!

  • @MrGregoryduncanmclea amen!

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. Isaiah 8:20

  • I wish I could post this message on everyone's channel here on Youtube that follow the herictic Finalcall07 that is telling all that you are either in the scriptures or in the Spirit as if they are diametric opposed to each other. You are right about our need to be in the word of God and many including some Pastors and churches but certainly not all. Finalcall decieves others by rightly encouraging others to love and walk in the Spirit but lie's when he states the Bible is not the word of God

  • WOW!!!! awesome!!!!

  • @HaRdzstylerR what are your reasons for writing these words?

  • @HaRdzstylerR Why do you think he's a hypocrite? And don't take that in some sort of negative way, I'm just curious as to what made you believe that.

  • The reason HardzstylerR is writing these words is because he hates the truth and supresses it in UNrighteousness. He loves his sin. Jesus said you will know them by their fruit, what kind of fruit is he producing? Well rotten. Pray for him.

  • @HaRdzstylerR if you intended to rebuke according to God's ways, you failed. We are not to play the Devil's role as Accuser ('Satan'). Your intent was to offend, not to correct; there was hate, not love, in your words. If you did actually find fault in this message he spoke, you should have pointed out from God's Word where he went wrong, and in love, with the wisdom that God gives to those who ask him. But he was speaking about reading and knowing God's word, which you seem to take offence at.

  • I love this. this makes me wander, if I read the word everyday 4 chapters of the day, would it be good? Anyways this is amazing, how we can stand is because we don't care. I love God but I don't always show it. glorify your name!

  • Amen!! My pastor said: if the reading of the Word is inhalation, the praying is exhalation. To remain alive you HAVE to do both!! EVERY DAY!!

whether you can not breathe and stay alive??

  • @v3ga455 AMEN AMEN AMEN

  • @v3ga455 i like that, I am so using that some day soon. :)

  • Thinki this way no bible readinjg no food for today ;)

  • AMEN!!! Glory Be To God.

  • If the body of Christ would recognize that, it would produce a REVIVAL!

Think of this:The word became flesh! Think about this: The word became flesh! (John.1) That means Jesus is the living word of God, and if you spent time with the Bible, you will directly spent time with Jesus Christ and his Spirit!

  • The bible is a history of one civilization. History is the same in other groups. The difference is Jesus Christ. If, a condition, If you go by what Jesus spake(sic), you will be with God. Jesus said everything else comes of evil. LOOK IT UP! What preachers, pastors, and most do is interpret the bible to suit their agenda. "When the blind lead the blind, both fall in to a ditch." WHO SAID THAT? Objective spiritualism is faith. Subjective religion is foolishness. 4u2b1ib12
  • The authors of the NT were interpreting the OT all the time. The testimony of the OT (which was not treated simply as a record of the history) was counted as a proof Jesus was the Christ.

Jesus said anything above 'yes' and 'no' comes from evil (do not twist the Scriptures); and the context leads into proper interpretation of this passage.

  • I agree! Yes and no is what Jesus said. You are absolutely right. The difference is mans interpretation of the Word. That interpretation has been twisted and skewed to control others. Fundamentalist were slave owners, the KKK hates Jews. Jesus is a Jew. The Spanish inquisition was an act of the Catholic church. Other religions did as much to control and enslave others. Do you see my point?

I am reading comments and they misguide themselves to ridicule. Hero worship! You?

  • I told you to check the context. Jesus said we are not to swear, that instead our yes is to be 'yes', and 'no' must be 'no'.

I am not sure what is the point in proving that there were people who twisted the Scriptures even though God teaches us truths of the Bible (even through people like paul Washer).

We are all aware teachers can be wrong and we test all they say with the word of God.

But I think I am still missing your point.

  • My point goes back to my original comment.

Objectivity! Jesus made everything clear and simple. Not to be used as propaganda, but

simplicity. Anyone interpreting the word of Christ is being subjective: If it be a scholar or layman. You debating with me is a very good example. Do you want to discuss the merit of Jesus or support your Hero(s)? Is my point clear, now? It is you and I in faith, not religion

nor what mortal we look up to. That is the basis of my comments. The light lives.

  • ok, so what do you understand by 'subjective interpretation'?

Are the epistles of the apostles subjective interpretation if the Old Testament and the words of Jesus?

Is the narrative form of John's gospel interpretation of the words he heard from Jesus?

I would agree with you about eisegesis but not necessarily about exegesis (which can also be counted as a way of interpretation).

Pastors are not heroes, but those who are true to the Scriptures are worth double respect and our love.

  • The red letters in my Bible are objective. Jesus spake(sic) them. All of the other words are subjective. History by men is subjective, as the word implies. Jesus made everything clear. The Old Testament establishes history and patterns common to all civilizations. The New Testament is a declaration by Jesus as to The Truth and The Light of God.

For example: You baiting me into using

foul language in your prior comment. Your mind stumbles for justification and reason,"...not to swear."

  • So apparently you do not believe the Scriptures were inspired in any way.

It is quite interesting that you would believe the words of Christ SOMEONE ELSE put on paper if you do not believe any other thing they have written.

And how did the law testified about Jesus (according to his words) if we can't interpret it but only treat it as mere historical legal writings.

  • Old Testament scripture was men writing history and philosophy. The New Testament is Jesus making everything clear. All religions do as much. None had Jesus! Jesus Christ was quoted. Jesus never wrote a word. Different men quoted Him. Interpretation favors a speaker or writer interlaced with their subjective opinion. Jesus is objective.

You have two masters. You will hate one and love the other, someone said. You argue for your friends, not Jesus, who you are hating debating with me.

  • You did not tell me how did law testified about Jesus according to his words.

There is a context to the passage about the 'two masters'. Still, I believe the entire Scriptures were inspired by God and I believe Christ was God - there is just one master here.

Different people quoted him. Why do you trust their words on that? How do you know they quoted him faithfully?

I am sorry you think I hate Christ. I can see you have quite an opinion about me. Well, I am fortunate God judges the heart.

  • I do not understand your first sentence. Please

    clarify.

No! You have been misled by men. The fact that He was quoted by different witnesses proves as much. Men wrote their own words to be interpreted, by others. Jesus spake(sic) to many. Ex: The sermon on the mount.

I am drawing a comparison. I used scripture. I do not think you hate Christ. You are twisting words to win an argument that I did not start.

Believe what you want. "Let your light so shine before man," not on to them!

  • Paul Washer's truthful messages will not change you friends! They will cause you to be wise and cause you to view others in a way that makes them seem foolish in comparison to Paul Washer, do not compare them to HIM you need to Change and do what is required of YOU! Seek Him With all you are then teach others. Joel osteen is no differant than you! unless YOU change! Knowledge can not copare to action

  • Amen!

  • powerful!
