Were'd you get the Adric scene from? I just simply love it the music going silent combined with actually seeing him hit Earth, it's a great way to show how proper re-editing of a scene can do, makes it a lot more dramatic.

I love this video, it emphasises the most important theme of Doctor Who, LOSS. It starts with him abandoning everthing he knows and finishes with him returning to try to save it then having it taken away. He has lived for nearly 1000 years when compared to a human lifespan that seems like an eternity, so all of his compainions at some point must say goodbye and he knows that every new friend he makes will eventually leave him.
Oh ... Dodo's departure was done by proxy ... she got sick, then left a note with Ben and Polly to tell the Doc she wouldn't be coming. Barbara and Ian, left on a Dalek time machine to go back to earth ... and as for Ben and Polly, that got wiped sadly, as was victoria's.
Bugger, showing my age, I remember all of these like it was yesturday. Not only did they have very different personalities, but they sometimes had different storylines as well. Pertwee's version spent a lot of time with U.N.I.T. I even saw the polit movie as a kid where the dialeks were digging into the core of the earth.

Always thought this was beautiful. I found the William Hartnell and Tom Baker pieces quite nice. I know this was made before Donna's exit and the video's end fit because Doomsday was when Rose left, but it still would have been cool to see Donna's farewell here as well. Still, very nice.

I accept your answer of your dislike for Rose, but I disagree with you. Rose was a constant constrast to the doctor like cherry pie to steak, but it worked. I had a lump in my throat when Rose went to the alternate dimension.
Although Peri is said to have 'survived' and lived with King Yrcanos, Nicola Bryant herself is highly upset that they did this. She agreed that Peri would not have done so. In Trial the Matrix is so twisted, and it is the MASTER who says that Peri survives... but can you really trust the Master.. or the Matrix..I think not. So Peri's survival.. is highly questionable. Some people think she's dead, some believe she's alive. I believe that character met her demise when Yrcanos blasted her to death
There should have been 6th Doctor and Peri--who had almost the most dramatic exit (besides Adric and Tegan ie a death..and seeing WAY too much death)....Her body gets switched and she gets executed (although people argue she lives.. it's a good two-way story --did she die.. or does she live...
I hate to be the one to tell you this but at the end of Trial of a timelord it is revealed Peri survived and ended living as a warrior queen with King Yrcanos.
I expected to hate this, but it made the hair on my arms and neck stand on end! Just goes to show how important the music is - if only they could rescore the 1980s episodes...
Oh my, Adric's death is so angst with that music and loved all those farewells, specially the Savage with the fourth and all of the five doc's farewells, the third with jo was also so emotive, sadly we never saw Ace's farewell with the Doc, hopefully one day we'll know what happened, thanks for the vid.

I love Rose, she saved the Doctor from himself, but she had a good, FITTING send-off in 'Doomsday' and I personally think that bringing her back in S4 was a BIG ASS MISTAKE. It just ... it ruins 'Doomsday' and what EXACTLY did Rose do besides tear the walls of reality some more and end up with the random Doctor-Mark-Blue.
There is some existing video from the end of "The Savages" that shows Steven's leaving scene. Maybe you can use that?
The scene where Victoria leaves at the end of "Fury from the Deep" would be terrific, if it existed. I watched the recon and it is probably one of the most bittesweet leaving scenes from that era of Who.
There is also the death of katarina in Dalek Master Plan, the scene where she's flushed out the airlock still exists and would work well.
I'm back to comment on this properly - all I did last time was moan about Murray Gold (and actually, he's not been bad this year), whereas what I should have said was:

i think Adric probaly got the best departure from the series. it was a brilliant episode. didn't detract from the story line, which as much as i like the new series i feel that they sometimes detract from the story (i.e. Doomsday)

This music is all well and good but well, its a bit OTT, I think malcolm clarke or paddy kingsland had the right idea. (Earthshock, Logopolis)

Oh my, Adric's death is so angst with that music and loved all those farewells, specially the Savage with the fourth and all of the five doc's farewells, the third with jo was also so emotive, sadly we never saw Ace's farewell with the Doc, hopefully one day we'll know what happened, thanks for the vid.

Very nice job! Did they not show the leaving of Peri? I've never seen how the Doctor leaves Jo Grant... OMG! So subtle yet so sad - what happened there? Did he just leave her for her own good or what?
You probably didn't need to include Doctor No 8.

Oh, good! (You never can be sure online ... I offend people so easily, I'm trying not to take any chances.)
I love Rose, she saved the Doctor from himself, but she had a good, FITTING send-off in 'Doomsday' and I personally think that bringing her back in S4 was a BIG ASS MISTAKE. It just ... it ruins 'Doomsday' and what EXACTLY did Rose do besides tear the walls of reality some more and end up with the random Doctor-Mark-Blue.

There is some existing video from the end of "The Savages" that shows Steven's leaving scene. Maybe you can use that?
The scene where Victoria leaves at the end of "Fury from the Deep" would be terrific, if it existed. I watched the recon and it is probably one of the most bittesweet leaving scenes from that era of Who.
There is also the death of katarina in Dalek Master Plan, the scene where she's flushed out the airlock still exists and would work well.

i think Adric probaly got the best departure from the series. it was a brilliant episode. didn't detract from the story line, which as much as i like the new series i feel that they sometimes detract from the story (i.e. Doomsday)
and it was a nice emotional scene, and showed that in all the wonder of the Doctors life. ppl do get killed

That wasn't Nyssa leaving, it was Teagan Jovanka or The Mouth On Legs (aka Janet Fielding), an Aussie character through & through. She was great!
