I believe music seemed to have more emotion earlier,(pre 90's)because artist were not so out of reach. They slept with talked to partied with and developed stories and relationships with people that were not famous.Nowadays famous artist keep to themselves.They cant hangout with "common folks" because of all the stalkers and crazies, therefore, they dont develop those true to heart stories I enjoy many artist from todays music but the soul of the common man seems to be missing in there music!!
