@DragoTheWolf OFP2 doesn't exist. The game was called OFP2 when this trailer was released, but once they realized consoles can't handle this amount of awesomeness, they started haevily dumbing it down for consoles (and the same time PC version was ruined) and dropped the "2" out of the name.

I played the original to death.

I think this one will have some improvements on the old, but its essentialy the same gameplay.

The original was made a simulator for training officers first, a game second (I think), thats what makes it so unique.

The developers of a game know exactly what a console does and can optimize it like anything so it runs really well. I used to do games programming when the fastest processor on earth was 2ghz and optimizing was was super important.

You can get a comparitive low spec console running the game superbly.

A pc you just try to get the most common combinations optimized.

CAN'T WAIT either mate! I hope that it's not just American characters/weapons/kit in the OFP2! Lets see some Brits and others in it so its more realistic. Does anyone ever use XBC or kia to play the O.F.P ELITE still? We prefer large missions spread over half of the map, instead of small quick missions. Cant wait to see what the new map will look like either! I hope the mission editor is better aswell with subtitles for deaf people, similar to OFP Elite. What about the Chinese weapons too?

well, I wouldnt hold your breath about having Brit kits in the game. OP2 is about the US Marines vs the PLA. Adding a Brit kit would add to the variety a little, but wouldnt make it more "realistic." There are over 60k US Marines stationed in Japan, so it only makes sense in using the Marines and modeling their gear in this game. As it is now, there are over 70 different types of weapons and their add-ons and over 50 types of vehicles. Thats a lot of variety no matter how you look at it.

btween mainland japan(Camp Fuji) and Okinawa, yes, there is somewhere around 30-60 marines depending on troop deployment... The 3rd MarDiv and the 3rd FSSG are HQ on Okinawa. I was a Marine myself from 90-95. I believe the Marine Corps now has grown a little and is about 195,000 strong now. Keep in Mind ther are only 3 Marine Divisions and their support units

Okinawa is one big Marine base, with bases spread all aropund the island. I was stationed at Camp Hansen at the northern end of the island. Mainland Japan has Fuji and Iwakuni, but the major base there is Yokuska which is a massive navy base (7th Fleet). The 7th fleet alone has 60,000 navy and Marine personnel. Then there is Yokota which is a massive Air Force base.Yeah,there is a big US military presence in Japan. Not to mention the US army in Korea, which is just a stones throw from Japan.

no actually, Operation Flashpoint is a trademark of Codemasters who were working with Bohemia Interactive.

later on the developers of Operation Flashpoint (Bohemia Interactive) stopped working with Codemasters for some reason and worked on Armed Assault.

I am not sure what Operation Flashpoint 2 inherites from Operation Flashpoint 1, but I am quite sure Armed Assault is much closer (having played it myself).
