  • The drawer is not listed on your website. :(

  • Omg!!! I loved it!! This doubled my drawer's space!!! Thank you sooo much!!!

  • I can't stop staring at your nose.

  • I love to iron and startch all my clothes because I feel it looks way better and not many people like to do that.

  • I LOVE Ironing! I grew up in India, whr u can find ironing places on almost every street. I became friends with a girl who worked there for her family & they didn't use regular irons. They have very bulky 'irons' & use coal to heat. Every time i'm ironing, i zone out, which gives me my "me" time. It's a relaxation. Even though, i iron about 2 -3 times a week, sometimes i go weeks without, then all of sudden i go, 'i miss ironing!' & start again.

  • When I had to iron,I enjoyed doing it as a time for myself and my thoughts. My sisters and I helped my mum with house chores and that was the one I used to trade with them for something I hated (dishes!!).I don't iron much anymore. My husband irons his shirts and I only like to have our sheets wrinkle-free. Also, you should meet my aunt! Her stuff is always folded perfectly!

  • I cant find the drawer system you are using!!! I checked elfa and your organizing products link! Please help!

  • Love this video too! These are tips that I need now as I have recently counted my jeans and I have almost 30 pair and yes I wear all of them :))

  • Thanks for the folding jeans tip. I have been trying to figure out how to best store them.

  • Nice video.I personaly, like to folding and ironing this not easy job give a lot patien, and also relax, I really enjoy when I ironing.Ironing technique I use how way to relax and concentrate.I love it.

  • Love this video Alejandra - I'm totally going to use this method for my husband's work shirts and pants - he'll be able to see everything this way and not make a mess when he goes digging for something specific - LOL!! Love it!

  • Why do you need so many jeans?! I could fit all of my closet into 4 boxes like this. If you would simply eliminate the clothes you are not using, you could hang them all and not worry about the wrinckles or buying new boxes and labels...

I don't mean to offend you, but from what I observed from the videos, you have to live with at least 5 other people (lot's of stuff!) and at least one of them has memory problems (labels at your own home?!). Or you are seriously bored. Either way that's scary.

  • @Sievet If you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all. Why are you watching these types of videos if you're not interested in getting organized yourself? If things are labelled - everything has a "home" - get it?? Also if there are others using the space then they can find where you've stored things - and also put things back in their place! My husband loves labels that I use because it helps him find things. Also, look how neat it looks.

  • @esperanca2012 Why am I watching this types of videos? I was looking for some tips on storing documents (found nothing new to be honest) and I clicked this video because I was wondering if that are all her jeans. Most people use 20% of clothes 80% of the time, I was curious if she uses all of them so I asked a question.

And no, I don't 'get it', because my own home is very neat, nothing has a label on it and yet, I could find anything with my eyes closed (No I don't live alone).

  • I love it thanks you I started to practice this idea with my husnbdan closed, but you have any idea how I can organize my cardigans to be able to see, I find is a litthe difficlut for people that work in a office to organize clothes as blazer, pants, due the space, I try to buy wrinkle free clothes but the problems still there,if you don't have a walking closet, thanks so much

  • Rolling your jeans military style will save more space and eliminate the creases from folding. Ironing gives your clothes a crispness that permanent press will never have but that's a personal choice. Good job☺

  • @ReneCoty7 thanks!!

  • I don't iron (we don't even own one!!), but when I did iron, I liked it okay, for the same reason that my mom does: it's calming. We're both fairly high-strung, control-freak, type-A people, but standing at the ironing board and "controlling the chaos" of wrinkles in small doses while watching t.v./movies served as a nice break. So that's a nice way of looking at it. :)

  • I have never hung my pants before so I've always done the quarter and stack method. I will have to try this method for my pants! The same sort of process can be done with socks. My socks never really got matched until recently when I spent the time to match them, fold in half, and then store on their sides to maximize space and accessibility. Thanks for the video!

  • @KaliSword you're welcome!

  • I need these drawers in my life! Wow its so amazing how much moreroom it allows

  • folding and storing ur jeans and pants that way is really efficient. it saves space and time!

  • OMG IT'S AWESOME! WHERE DO YOU GET THOSE DRAWERS?? :D but my closet is alrd pre-made (i mean there's small drawers and rods to hang clothes installed. :(

  • @pinkcotton94 they are elfa :) There is a link to my favorite organizing products in the description of the video, you can see everything I use :)

  • But wouldn't the fold marks need ironing? :o

  • What you said about changing your environment to match your changing lifestyle is so true! I have a 1 year old son, and over the last few months I have been continually changing my storage, his closet, even my kitchen cupboards (so he can't break anything he gets into for example). Having my son has helped me realise that change is a part of life and you can't just put things in one spot an expect them to stay there for ever. Love your videos! :)

  • @jademareeRG thank you :)

  • I really love this but my closet is the 1950's real small!

  • Great video. Can you tell me exactly which elfa drawers you have - length, width, height? I would like to purchase one section of five drawers. Again great video.

  • @jkane8820 Hi. It depends on the dimensions of your closet. What fits in one closet, probably doesn't fit in your closet. I would bring your dimensions to the container store and let them size the drawers - its a free service they offer.

  • Hi Alejandra!! THANK YOU for this great tip!!!!!! Yr tips always helps!!!!!! i Thank my good gracious God for dat & THANK YOU again for sharing great many things including good spirituality -that's how i'm helped n dealt w/ i feel, so i thank you agaaain!!!! -Mika

  • @TheMikatchi you are welcome - so glad it was helpful!!

  • You'll think I am nuts, but I love to iron! It is because when I was a little girl my mother would always iron in front of the TV, and I'd sit with her and keep her company. Now I iron in front of the TV as an adult and just find it to be comforting and relaxing.

  • @TheGrassSkirt really?! that's great! I wish I loved to iron (so does my fiancee!). thanks for sharing :)

  • the folding starts at 4:30, you're welcome

  • Dear Alejandra, I have been so busy with school meetings and end of term assessments that I haven't had time for Facebook, but now I'm free! Yesterday, to "unload" from all that work, I folded all my sweaters and put them in their drawer. They look great - all that space and so visible, all of them! Thanks for the great tip. I folded them in 4 and it saves lots of space. Thanks you, and yes, do a video on this!

  • @fladamada Yay! that's great!! :) Hope you're having a great holiday season!

  • @xnenaxo Haha No I'm not related to her!

  • Where can I buy those drawers?

  • @shuxrat they are elfa drawers from the container store check them out online

  • is your fiancee an organized person as well? do you find he has an easy time following your systems? i know this is a problem for me...my husband has a difficult time keeping up with newly organized systems or changing his routine.

  • Thank you so much! Now I can reorganize

My kids drawers with your ideas. Thanks again.

  • i am one of those "crazy" people who loves to iron - give me a good murder mystery movie, cup of tea and i can iron for hours...lol I'm not anal about it like my Mother was ( she ironed everything from underwear to towels) but i do iron shirts, pillowcases, and dresses)

  • oh, yeah! I like to iron.. but doesnt mean I ironed my clothes. It just when its needed only. great video..

  • How much were your drawers?

  • @lisavg09 I think I spent around $350 on eight drawers. However, they are less expensive if you don't get the wood trim.

  • By the way, I'm Filomena, from Portugal

  • Hi Alejandra. I loved how you quadrupled your storage space. I am now into minimizing, which means I only have about 4 pairs of trousers (3 jeans and 1 pair of trousers). I love the way you organized yours in a drawer, so easy to see and choose. Can we do something similar with sweaters and tops? Because I have them in a drawer and when I pick the bottom one... you know what happens to the others. We can also roll sweaters and keep them like that, they'll be wrinkle free. What is your opinion?

  • @fladamada Hi Filomena!!! I was wondering what your YT name was ;) Yes, you can roll sweaters or store them vertically like the jeans. I use sweater boxes that have clear windows in the front. I'll add this idea to my list of videos to do. I hope you're having a nice Christmas in Portugal! I haven't seen you on FB in a while!!

  • Love this video. I dont like to iron either, so I use a steamer. =)

  • @FreeofCrueltyBeauty i NEED to get a steamer - thanks for the reminder!

  • So freakin' awesome! I NEVER thought about folding and storing my pants and jeans that way...it makes so much sense! I understand all about life changing. I use to work in the corporate world as well so hanging my pants worked for me at that time. Now I work at a hospital and wear scrubs everyday so I can actually store my pants in a drawer. You're the best. I can' t wait for your closet tour. I would love to see how you store those boots in the drawer...also your shoes.

  • @nidae1 Will add these ideas to my list of videos :) Glad you enjoyed the video!!

  • Love your system! My closet needs so much help and it's small.

  • I have just subscribed to your channel and I am loving all your organizing tips! I have the double rod in my closet and it is a mess....I love love love your drawers to put your clothes in!!!!! I am hoping elfa has a sale in January because I want some of these!!! Keep sharing your organizing tips....I sooo love watching them!!! :)

  • @Sherismiley They DO have a sale in January! 30% off! I believe its every Jan and June...

  • Love your videos! Can you do a video on how you organize items in your fridge?

  • @LoveMissAmie YES! I added this idea to my list!

  • Love this idea. My closet is a nightmare. It's large but not organized so this was very helpful. It never occurred to me to store jeans in a drawer.

  • @Sassymarkrep Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Love your Elfa system!!! We are buying an Elfa desk system for our daughter in January (big Elfa sale next month). I think you fold clothes just fine...very smart way to store jeans and pants! Keep the videos coming!!! :)

    Janel in NJ

ps...I happen to not mind ironing...not love it, but don't mind doing it when I need too. I just like the way something looks after it is ironed...but I too don't do it too often. Happy Holidays!

  • @sldjme I'm obsessed with elfa - isn't it so addicting?! You should post pics of the before and after when you do the project!

  • is your system elfa?

  • @bellamae09 yes, elfa!

  • lovd this video! i have been dealing with a double rod system and i hate it so im gonna save up for this!

  • @bellamae09 yay! You get more out of folding than hanging ;)

  • with i had the money to get that system my jeans are hung up right now and that would give me more storage not that i need it but it would still be good... ps won't your boots get your other clothes dirty underneath that drawer since its mesh. i mean its miniscule but still maybe switching the boots with the drawer above jeans will work but thats just my ocd

  • @jola3401 Since the boots are bulky they had to go at the top. If you look closely at the boot drawer you'll see a gap above the drawer and below the jewelry drawer. The gap is b/c the boots are bulky and stick out at the top. I tried them at the bottom and it didn't work without having to readjust all the drawers. The boot drawer also has a liner at the bottom.

  • I like your channel, you are so sweet and organized!

  • @idahama Thank you!!

  • Thanks for sharing! Very helpful video!

  • @EbonyMak you are welcome!!
