i do my training in the diamond da 20 and the da42 twinstar is way much better besides the twin engines

Lovely plane. The only thing is that I don't understand why they go through so much time and effort making the seats look expensive and then make the instrument panel look a little cheap. Only my opinion though and i know that many people will disagree.

Im a apprentice engineer and where i work we have 7 DA42's with the lycomings fitted to them. From an engineering point of view they are a very very poorly designed aircraft. Basic rule number one, you dont expose carbon fibre directly to the serface of a metal, causes ridiculous corosion issues. They have done exactly this through out the wing structures. THats onle one of the major problems of which i couldnt count on one hand.

why you got 164 kts .?

he said max cruise is 164 so not at 60%, but then at 60% you can go 900 nm etc (but thats not max cruise)

I think cruise on Diamonds is 70% rather than 60, maybe thats why you get 135 at 60% :)

All low wing planes are only for acrobats - getting i and out is a damn hassle. And I hate the stupid stick between me legs. What a retarded idea it is, really! Give me high wings and a fucking door to get in and out and a yoke! Make it electric and solar powered and we all buy one.
