  • Indian Raga Rock is pretty psychedelic to me..

  • murder rape

  • Within You Without You is not a psychedelic song. It's a Classical Indian Raga Rock. There's nothing psychedelic about it. People considered it to be psychedelic because it was a music genre that's never been heard of during that time.

  • @DAYD111 Its more the lyrics that make it counter culture

  • My (Top 5) list:

    5) With a Little Help from My Friends

    4) A Day in the Life

    3) Here Comes the Sun

    2) All You Need Is Love

    1) Let It Be

  • paul kills #9, too much talent

  • TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS

  • Within You With Out You deserves number 1

  • and "Love You To"

  • I thought this video was going to be of Beatles songs that are very Indian style. Like "Within You Without You", "I Will", and of course, "The Inner Light"

  • it wz a great pick, but ithink the top five should go like 5. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds 4. I Am The Walrus 3. A Day In The life 2 Starwberry Fields Forever 1 Tomorrow never Knows. A day in the life is my favorite beatle song but it is not that all psychedelice. WYWY was named #!. if that was the case I would probably repace it with Love You to

  • There is no correct order, all Beatles songs are amazing and great!! =]

  • tomorrow never know's is the most swami-ish to me :)

  • The correct order of those 10 songs is (from best to worst): A Day in the Life, Strawberry Fields Forever, Tomorrow Never Knows, I'm Only Sleeping, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Fixing a Hole, I Am the Walrus, Within You and Without You, Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite.

How WYAWY made #1 is beyond me. As far as George's songs of Eastern influence go, Love You To is light-years ahead of WYAWY.

  • across the universe not included?

  • i am the walrous should be by far the first

  • Excellent pick for #1

  • first 4 arent really that psychedelic, but it's your opinion and i totally agree with number 1

  • yanivssalman

    doesnt know shit

trippin at an 4th of july fireworks show listen to starwberry fields then u understand maybe

now as for fixing a hole is to idk how but its never a bad trip

within you without you how isnt it psychedelic ........ iT's FuCKing AMAzinG

  • fixing a hole

    strwaberry fields

    within you and

    are not Psychedelic!!! !!

a day in the life also its a masterpiece!!!

what about revolutiong 9 ?its fucking freak me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    number 9 number 9 number 9 number 9 number 9 number 9 vvnumber 9 number 9 number 9 number 9 number 9 number 9 number 9 number 9

  • here is what i think about this, 1 should be tomarrow never knows, 2 within u with out u,3 i am the walrus, 4 strawberry field, 5 a day in th life, 6 lucy in the sky , 7 mr kite, i dont kno about she said, im only sleepin, and fixing a hole thay dont seem psychedelic to me but great vid

  • it's a hard discussion. John's songs were very psychedelic, George took the Indian bits, whereas McCartney had a baroque poppy style (Eleanor Rigby, Fool on the HIll). Is that also psychedelic? I think it is, whenever it expands your way of thinking, dreaming, feeling et cetera

  • @mecaesare i kinda agree with u

  • THIS VIDEO IS COOL

  • what happened with tomorrow never knows???

  • its without you without you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you never truely know how psychedelic they are until your high.

  • What about Sgt Pepper?

  • Fixing a Hole Psychodelic? I'm only sleeping? Mr Kite? ...I don't agree with 80% of your choices ...

  • Where is Magical Mystery Tour!?!?

  • tomorrow never knows on number 4???? this is an outrage it is the best of the best

  • i remember that someone considered taxman psycedelic LOL

  • @worldcitizenforever Oh I see where you're coming from now. I know there are way better psych. bands/songs, but I thought you were denying that they had a few psych. tracks. I agree that a lot of the songs on the youtube video aren't psych. I mean they may be good to listen to while under the influence of drugs, but it doesn't make them psych.

  • @worldcitizenforever And I'm not talking about all the songs in this video, just the ones considered psychedelic like the two I mentioned earlier.

  • @worldcitizenforever Not all of them are psychedelic, but songs like "I Am Walrus," and "Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds" def are. I'm taking a music class and in the psychedelic section it mentions some of these songs and also in all the music classes I've taken. No one said all their music is psychedelic. A majority of their psych. music were on two albums "Srgnt Peppers" and "Magical Mystery Tour." And I don't need to learn a lot about music.

  • @worldcitizenforever You have no idea what you're talking about dude.

  • mmm there are some songs missing. Instead of fixing a hole and i´m only sleeping, i´d would set: it´s all too much and rain.

  • mmm there are some songs missing. Instead of fixing a hole and i´m only sleeping, i´d would set: it´s all too much and rain.

  • I would have add Blue Jay way

  • a day in the life isnt that psychedelic

  • Great selection. I see what you mean even if some of the comments miss the point. They were great times but it is hard for some observers to reflect what was going on.

  • i think the mix of of tomorrow never knows and within you without you should be first or strawberry fields

  • @MuskateerGripWeed lol wut?

  • Lucy in the Sky is the first.

  • @vengeancymine87 thanks for ruining it asshole!!

  • it's all too much is must have ...come on man

  • faltO wild honey pie ;)

  • Within you or without you is my fav beatles song anyways hahaha great list

  • I don't agree with a lot of them. Where is Accross the Universe, Baby Youre a Rich Man, All Too Much, Dear Prudence???

  • Blue Jay Way, Flying, Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite ... No???

  • Songs from Revolver are amazing!

  • what about hellogoodbye

  • she said she said is acid-psychodelic, and its one of the greatest songs on revolver

  • no taxman

  • "Taxman" is not a psychedelic song. It's simply a protest song

  • How did Love You Too not make it on this list?

  • Agreed.

  • Lucy in the Ski with Diamonds should be #1

  • A Day In The Life doesn't deserve #5

  • @chainsmaster251 it deserves #1

  • @lees2oo8 On the real though

  • i listend to Lucy in the sky with diamonds when i was high yesterday! holy shit i couldent feel my self anymore

  • this is so incorrect, they got way more psycadelic songs. you even forgot helter skelter the most lsd influenced beatles song.

  • keeping an eye on the world going by my window....My favorite song by far though is strawberry fields forever. No song ever written played or recored comes close to the genious of that song. You all know you agree too, dont you?

  • Excellent my favorite too but i also love Fixing A hloe so were pretty much beatle compatible

  • haha beatle compatible i like that. theyre such a huge and widely listened to band. Well BEATLES FOREVER man

  • Fo sho bro!

  • Tomorrow Never Knows is the right shit for me! I love that song! Talking about Psychedelic, LSD and Within You and Without You comes at number two and three respectively!

  • I love the story behind "She Said She Said:"

On the second time John took acid, Peter Fonda was with his group. He kept on saying to John, "I know what it's like to be dead," and everyone else was like, "Shut the fuck up! Nobody cares!" lol

  • she said she said? what! FIXING A HOLE? WTF!

  • Missing revolution 9

  • revolution 9 is out of the way trippy a crazy song should be number 1

  • It's a protest for peace, not a drug-influenced or "crazy" song

  • Comment removed

  • Oops yes you're absolutely right. I forgot about that

    :)

  • How is I am the Walrus number 8!?

    Under IM ONLY SLEEPING!?

I mean, I agree with pretty much everything else... besides that of course.

  • A day in the life has always done the job for me

  • Im wondering what happened to the companion of Strawberry Fields For ever... Penny Lane? Otherwise a good list, although I cant agree with Within Without You as number 1.... that honor goes to LSD.

  • John looks a bit roughed up at 0:33 maybe he had just woken up?

  • No he was probably high on LSD! hahaha VIVA LA BEATLES! BEATLES 4 EVER!

  • I just listened to "Revolution 9" after seeing this video a few days ago, and wondered why it didn't get number one just now.

    It should be..

  • five out of ten are out of sgt pepper's lonely hearts club band, my favorite album of all time.

  • Blue Jay Way is definitely one of the most psychedelic-it's way out there

  • ...........hang on,where's,'It's all too much'?

  • i do not think a day in the life is Psychedelic, naby the transition part with the huge orchistra is but the song in general is a very mellow fun song.

  • hey bulldog?

  • well maybe its not psychedelic but they were really really high when they wrote it

  • Lol, heres my listing 1. tomorrow never knows 2. within you without you 3. lucy in the sky with dimonds 4. i am the walrus 5. strawberry feilds forever 6. being for the benefit of mr. kite 7. she said she said 8. only a northern song 9. a day in the life 10. it's all too much :)
  • love i am the walrus

  • 'Fixing A Hole' is not a drug reference. Okay, psychedelic doesn't necessarily mean drugs.

  • @manbigus

    COMON

  • @oeyapeon Sir Paul McCartney has said many times how people can put whatever meaning they want into songs. He has said also that 'Fixing A Hole' is not about drugs. It is about as he has stated fixing up around a home, maybe a hole in the roof etc.

  • goo goo g'joob

  • i am the eggman

    i am the walrus

    googoogooyu

  • half are sgt peppers. album bias much?

  • The Beatles psychedelic period was Revolver-Magical Mystery Tour. That really only leaves three albums, and Sgt. Pepper has a lot of psychedelic stuff. So I can see why it would fill half the list.

  • nice list. 8 johns, 1 paul, and 1 george.

i think 'blue jay way' or 'revolution 9' definitely belong here in place of 'i'm only sleeping'.

  • Tomorrow never knows was a great song!

And of course within you and without you is the trippiest- It's actually one of the best- I swear I think Harrison was the best- Who woulda thought a sitar on a Pop song?

  • dude, how can you forget only a northern song?

  • im am the walrus should be like number 1

  • I thought Revolution 9 would win the list. Seriously, that song is whacked.

  • It's All Too Much is BY FAR the most psychedelic. And it's not even on this list!

  • I love George ,

    Hottest guy ever.

  • And the best beatle!

  • i like the 4 pictures when i am the walrus is playing everyone except paul is all looking at the camera and paul is just like hm i wonder where that black spot on the wall came from?

  • on penny lane they make a reference to fish and finger pies.......finger pie is a scouse saying(liverpool) for fingering your woman diwn below

  • I am the walrus should have been #1

  • lucy in the sky should be first

  • @Brettcat38 or tomorrow never knows...?

  • oh 8 for lennon 1 for mccartney and 1 for harrison

    jwl : my hero

  • what about Ringo?

  • i love ringo too but my coment is about the writers of the songs and im so sorry theres no one song for ringo

i love this band¡¡¡ beatles forever

  • Hey! At the end of I AM THE WALRUS SONG, Listen and you will hear 2 different groups singing over each other. One is saying " Everybody's fucked up", and the other group of voices are saying " Smoke pot - smoke pot - everybody smoke pot". It may take a few tries but it is really there and i have no reason to lie. Just passing this stuff on the the new Beatles fans or people who may be in the dark.

  • haha, this part was made by a group of studio vocalists names "The Mike Sammes Singers". They sang "oompah, oompah, stick it up your jumper!", "got one, got one, everybody's got one".

  • I dunno, I think you're getting a bit carried away here, Nato, they're definately not singing fucked up, and as for smoke pot, I am unsure as to whether it's that or simply "everybody haha", which makes less sense but which fits the previous pattern of the song, since they mention laughing in the background following the joker passage(listen in the background and you will hear laughing)

  • there are claims that they actually say "got one, got one, everybody's got one," and "oompah, oompah, stick it up your jumper," but it sounds like you're right

  • It's "got one, got one, everybody's got one"

  • With CD's being the only format for new music and vinyl records a thing of the past, the young and new people to the Beatles can't hear all the cool messages when the record is spun in reverse. At the end of "Happiness is a Warm Gun" John is heard saying ... Paul's a dead man and I miss him. This is true. Find the record in vinyl and you will hear a reverse messages on the WHITE ALBUM.

  • Number 2 should have been Blue Jay Way

  • Very cool, good list. Mine would be very close to this, but I'd have maybe Across the Universe instead of Fixing a Hole. Mmm, but then again, that came a little later than the time period you're doing, so I guess your list owns then. =)

  • she said "I know what it's like to be dead" xxxxxxx

  • thank you very much Peter Fonda! You gave us one of the best LSD songs ever!

    love that song

  • best beatles song ive heard so far . rubber soul album is my fave .this shows how they grew with the music. sounds maybe 10 yrs old not 43 yrs old

  • lolz the picture on i am the walrus of john he looks awesome!

  • Within you without you is not that psychedelic.

    Mostly Hindu music.

  • I agree with your number 1 choice. I LOVE THAT SONG. Have you heard the combined version of Within You Without You and Tomorrow Never Knows? Its a really good combination from the Beatles LOVE CD. You should check it out sometime. :)

  • yeah, but some LOVE versions sucks

  • nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • Comment removed

  • Lucy in the sky might be weird but its pretty normal

  • I am the walrus is defientely the most drug infused and random it shouldve been number one

  • strawberry fields' the best :)

  • Good job, but where's Only A Northern Song?

Plus, Tomorrow Never Knows is missing on the final list.

    Cheers

  • Holy crap. How is Blue Jay Way not on this list?

  • tomorrow never knows is my personal favorite : )

  • Tomorrow Never Knows is TOO psychidelic!! how is that #4? oh well! that song roxs, anyways!! yah i do agree with u on #1!!

  • great job :)

  • I've got to agree and say I much prefer this list to the other one I found.

For one, the proto-psychadelia is a little more back on the list where they belong.

    Only two problems:

    1. Lack of other George material of the period. Where's "Only a Northern Song" or "It's All Too Much"?

    2. What's the New Mary Jane. That track is pure psychadelia to a cosmic extent. It should at least be in the top 5.

    Once again, great list.
