  • Nice Elk, would have like to see more of the animal going down size etc. Very nice hunt though.

  • If you're not good enough to fop an elk clean with a bow you don't belong in the woods. Grow a pair, and kill the animal clean

  • @southernconfed That was not a bad shot at all and was in fact a clean kill. Elk are fucking huge animals and take more than 30 seconds to bleed out. He wasn't going anywhere.

  • @malicebmx Hey, your explanation of why you hunt pretty much hits the mark for most ethical hunters I think. I especially like the part of not having to harvest an animal in order to consider a hunt successful. I don't think hunting or fishing time is deducted from your allotted time on earth. Good hunting.

  • Nice stalk...those are nice looking bulls there. You can really hear the arrow hit its mark!...

The bleeding looked to be mostly internal...Nice shot, and I was waiting for it to drop, and the video ended...Enjoy your steaks and roasts boys.

  • This might be too much for you to comprehend, but the reason I got into hunting was because of my love and respect for God's creatures. Everyday in the woods is a successful hunt in my opinion, harvesting and animal is just a bonus. Nothing about this video is unethical, so to attack this hunter as a person only shows your ignorance. If you feel so strongly about unethical or illegal hunting, take a stand and get involved in your local conservation programs. Ill be right behind you.

  • I am absolutely sickened to read the comments of these completely oblivious, bleeding heart morons that run their mouth like they even have the slightest clue about the ethics of hunting. Each and every one of you need to pack up your little baby nuts and leave this thread. Nothing you say will ever convince me not to hunt just as nothing I say will comfort you in the fact that not every kill is an instant "lights out" kill. It has nothing to do with the character of the hunter. Continued...

  • LOL. elk farm???

  • What a pathetic hunt from a fat loser with a shit bow

  • @ENTERRAPTURE20 I strongly suggest seeking a psychiatric opinion. believing in jesus 30-40 years ok was acceptible. today im afraid its just insanity.

  • @SuperAgnostic1 it's not insanity, its just ignorance and and a lack of education and logic

  • Liar, there's no kill.

  • Man that guy must be super quiet!

  • Statistically you have a better chance of shooting yourself or your friends than another elk. That animal was docile, practically domensticated from all the nice harmless humans he's met in his life. He let you get so close its not even sport.

  • Why do people come to a video, and then whine and bitch? Why not watch something you like? That bull was a good, clean shot, amd would expire at least as fast as if it had been a bullet. Ever cut yourself with a really sharp knife? Very little if any pain. I've seen animals that were hit, jump and race off a ways, and then stop in response to a call. Then stand, or even start to return but then tire, from blood loss, lie down, and expire. I think its not that painful, but thats a guess.

  • @ narkaler..... so since he has a hat that says the name of a ranch on it means that's where he's hunting? Stupid. Also, u think that an elk on a ranch is less wild than one on public land? You could be the Dumbest person alive.

  • That was a heart shot, not a lung. Def didn't wound him. Great shot. Great bull.

  • elk wounding more like it

  • @fuzzmeister13 yeah its going to last a long time with an arrow though both its lungs. Perfect double lung. Its a power house takes a minute to bleed out. Y do you watch it if you dont like it?

  • @boulderhippie i watched cos it said elk kill.i was expecting to see u kill it not take your word that it died.cant understand if you said it died a minute later why stop the video.your video is of a fatal wounding not a kill.

  • go to a slaugher house and see how they kill animals there you would eat more wild meat and never eat beef again

  • if you dont like hunting videos then stop watching and making fuckin dumb ass comments....

  • To all the "Naysayers": Eat more man-made processed, chemically and hormone enriched, over priced packed with preservatives and fecal matter, fast junk food while it lasts. It will never taste as good as wildgame.

  • What a sick son of a bitch.

  • now...try that with a longbow shooting with fingers...go ahead..let's see ya ..Fred Bear did it with a recurve...what's your problem???

  • why do hunting videos allways so mean? Just have a normall convo' I mean really yall its just hunting if it wasnt for us they would die much more hurtfull ways. Nice hunt man!

  • swan734, how do know it's painless, you've ever been killed by an arrow?

Why don't you just use a camera? If you like hunting, well man up and go hunt the most dangerous animal on earth. Ohh thats right, not as much fun when the animal shoots back hey?

  • ololol .. you guys suck :D

  • that aint hunting. you faggots dont deserve a nice elk like that! go to the bow range if u just feel like shooting

  • ...IDIOT!

  • That other bull wanted to fight, he knew he had a chance after the one was shot.

  • mans grocery store

  • Brutal, slow death

  • @Crossss8 its actually painless, they will lay down because off the bloodless, fall a sleep and die

  • Pen raised? Not to my liking.

Before the rest of you antibow people spout out, there are people out there bowhunting that don't shoot unless everything is perfect....the shot, the placement, the range. Its a very slow deliberate hunt and from my personel experience makes hunting something more than hunting. I took two shots in the last 3 years and killed two deer that died within 100 yards of the shot site in less than 3 minutes. I hunted 20 -30 times each year and no shot this year.

  • @msmurdy, who says we enjoy it? Your ancestors would have hunted with bows... And less effective ones than that one. Your more a sadist thank the guy shooting the elk, at least he ate it. Your just watching for your own pleasure...

  • This is wrong any bow hunting of wild game or any big game should be gone! It is not humane in any form such a slow death and not as instant as a rifle! these people hunting with bows must be sick and like watching slow deaths!

  • i like to go hunting, but i hate doing it with a bow. i hate to have the animal run around having to suffer so long. i think its better with a gun, because even though you usually wont drop your target dead immediantly, it still has to suffer for a lot less time

  • a beautiful animal killed just for fun . discusting

  • @jojouk87 How bout for food. Last time I checked humans eat meat.

  • @jojouk87 so you are calling our ancestors who hunted to live disgusting? Your a pussy and thats the bottom line.

  • Guess it is kinda sad, the elks seem to see them but had no idea what was commin, and then it seemed the other one knew his buddy was messed up

  • i wish i can hunt this human just like that

  • animal cruelty........

  • I have nothing against high fence hunts. But I was looking forward to seeing more of this video. Instead of "Elk Bow Kill", this video is closer to "Elk Bow Mildly Annoyed" ;-) I want to see it keel over and his elk buddy asking him "Hey Kenny. Are you alright?"

  • I don't know why people are so against high fence hunts. that was a great elk and the guy was pumped who cares if it is high fenced. I have not hunted a high fence but if I had the dollars i would and it would be heck a fun. you haters need to go see what this can be about. On the right high fence it can still be a hunt just pick an elk and go after him. loosen up you purist's

  • what is a texas bred roman,if its a knock on texans just remember if texans quit coming to your state to hunt your tags will go up in price, texans may not be the best place, but it sure doesnt take long to call the roll if texas is in the house

  • awesome.... i see you got some jealous people commenting

  • Could have saved yourself the cost of the bow , arrow and the camo outfit ... you could have taken that elk with a stout piece of 4x2 timber ..... or a well placed house brick...mmmmm

  • Ohh my gawd those were awesome

  • Badass!!! I wanted to see him go down..

  • sweet!

  • Awesome quiality!

  • Saratma8. I'm leaving this afternoon for week-long trip. I'll see if I can find the book on my shelves when I get back. Cheers.

  • Thank you, have a great trip :)

  • @IdaMiaDot. PS. If you're open to objective learning, read Blood Ties by a notable anthropologist and former vegetarian. A revealing statistical analysis. The total pounds of rabbits/rodents, chicks, deer fawns, and reptiles chewed up in combines to produce your year's bread will exceed that of a mature bull elk. Put simply, an elk in the freezer represents one borrowed life. A year's bread represents many. "Selfish" or natural? At the very least inevitable...for both of us. Cheers mate.

  • @6StringsDownForever Can you give me the authors name, im really interested in reading it!

  • @saratma8 I think 6StringsDownForever is talking about "Bloodties: Nature, Culture, and the Hunt," by Ted Kerasote. You could probably find a used and very inexpensive copy on abebooks.com.

  • @cstarr3 Oh ok thanks

  • @IdaMiaDot...and you are guilty of anthropomorphism--attributing human characteristics to animals. All deer species belong to a genus order of relatively limited cognitive capacity. They don't think. They merely react to instinct. Thus they do not experience happiness in the same way humans do. Whatever enjoyment their life brings them is inevitably concluded by predation. Wolves, cat, hunter, or scavengers after succumbing to the starvation of a hard winter--elk feed others. Why not me?

  • @IdaMiaDot Hunting is an important management tool that keeps populations of wildlife healthy and ensures that the wildlife will be here for future generations. Learn about something before you go criticize it. Thank you.

  • what's wrong with a genetically engineered animal, if hunting them helps to fuel the economy, puts some meat on the table, and let's some guy think he got a trophy out of the ordeal?

  • Should have used a gun for a clean kill.

  • Three questions!

What camera and what renderingprogram and settings do you use?

    Fabolous crisp quality.

    And thrilling video too :)

  • next, he is going to drop a fishing line into a fish tank

  • @narkaler you dont know anything about hunting. clearly you and a bunch of people have never been hunting, def not bow hunting. Elk are fast, strong, and have a fantastic sense of smell and hearing. Getting 10 yards on an elk takes a lot of skill, not like you would know give it a try in the woods some day.

  • @boulderhippie the guys hat on the back says redcanyonranch . net. the guy paid 7,000 dollars to have a guy show him an animal to shoot. this was not a completely wild animal he shot.

  • @narkaler how does that have to do with anything

  • @AsToReY1000 I think Narkaler was suggesting that these elk were a slight bit tame, maybe in a pen. Not unprecidented, but a little unusual that he didn't haul ass after being hit, especially considering he was looking right at the hunter when he was shot. Don't know about the fish tank, but it does smell a little fishy.

  • @dewboy910 or they never seen man before. they may not have known what was going on.

  • thats like bringing a bow into a petting zoo.

  • They don't know anything about hunting. They just enjoy the kill. Hunting is ment to put food in the freezer, instead they throw out the food and hang the antlers to show what "men" they are. They are cowardly weasels, he probably tried actual wild hunting......missed because he couldn't take all the time in the world for his shot and got treed by a pissed off elk. Can you see how afraid he is of the domesticated elk? Pussy, grow a pair or stay in the city.

  • really?..a tagged elk?...what, you couldn't afford the 400 class ones?...so tell us, how long do you get to set up outside the barn before they let the bulls out to get water or food after how many days?...you coulda pet these things....you disgust me city-boy

  • It's just that those boys seem kind of doomed

  • Mathews! :)

  • nice bow and elk

  • but in response to him shooting in a farm environment, who cares... these elk were grown to be hunted....

  • people hating hunters are retards.... poor animal? are you kidding me? humans have been hunting for centuries, we wouldnt be here if we didnt hunt. Would you rather see a video of a pack of wolves chasing down and elk and ripping it to shreds? or are you going to hate on the wolves too? Because like it or not, it is an animal hunting, humans hunting are also animals hunting using tools. A 10 second death from a bow shot is much better than getting ripped to pieces...

  • @ndk2k4 Yeah but the elk was farm raised and was obviously semi-tame, this isn't hunting, it's killing.

  • I'm so disgusted!!!! Karma bitch!!

  • I just had a guy try to tell me that his production company filmed this in the wild for a TV show, trying to sell me advertising on the TV show...how is that for irony....A Flim Flam man using a fake hunt that someone else filmed...lol.

  • you should use that bow and shoot yourself in the head.. poor animals

  • Nice EARTAG on this wild??? elk

  • That is the Worst display of "BOWHUNTING" I have ever seen , No "HUNTING" involved as far as I can see , the Elk looked on without a care in the world . I notice the video went off just as the other Bull was about to give the wounded one a good hammering ...... Very sad . GET UP IN THE MOUNTAINS AND DO IT PROPER , EARN YOUR TROPHY !!!! .

  • How small does your penis have to be to shoot a penned elk in a high fence operation. Does it make you feel like a man?

I'm guessin' less than 2 inches max hard!

  • disgusting, now THAT is not fair hunting

  • Did he stop for one of those squished pennies on his way out of the zoo?

  • If this in is fact on a caged in farm. I just went by the other viewers on that.

  • not simple, I meant simply

  • hey now fella's calm down. These guys pay big money to hunt in a pen full of genetically superior elk. It's just another day of cow-tipping. Just be glad public hunters have the satisfaction of being real hunters. Real hunters are in constant competition with eachother. Survival of the fittest. Guys that shoot fish in a barrol aren't ever going to shoot fish in a lake. It's just simple to hard!

  • thats not hunting, it's shooting fish in a barrel.

  • seriously people hunting rocks i'm headed out elk hunting tomorrow.... for real.... in alberta not in a pen... the only time you could get this close to elk is in a domesticated situation where they are used to people.... these elk probably walked up to the "hunter" as soon as they could bc they were expecting something from the rancher... not a broadhead. in conclusion ppl this isn't real hunting this is real killing, dude probably has the rack on his wall and a much embellished hunting story.

  • where can i download this video game? fucking crazy graphics!!!! looks like real! O.o

  • Said it a million times - I'd take a cow elk kill during a general DIY hunt over something like this. That hunters like this don't have a voice of reason on the other side telling them they are tools blows my mind.

  • HATERS HATIN ON HUNTIN!!! SCREW EM!! IL HUNT FOR LIFE AND I DONT CARE! IF WE DIDNT HUNT YOUR PRECIOUS ANIMALS WOULD EAT THE PLANET TILL ALL PLANTS WERE GONE THEN THEY WOULD STARVE!! THATS A WORSE DEATH THEN ANY BULLET OR BROADHEAD! LIKE THIS OR MAKE YOUR OWN PRO HUNTER COMMENT TO MAKE A STAND AGAINST ALL THE HATERS!

  • @ScarfaceVision damn!!!! chill out dude

  • @ScarfaceVision you call this hunting? i call it a slaughter. where's the sport in shooting a caged and domesticated animal? I'm all for hunting, but i don't consider this to be hunting at all.

  • @nubsz911 yah well some city slickers dont know how to do it on there own.... I personally have never hunted on privated land allllllll public... but honestly if you think this is bad you should get pissed at slaughterhouses and never eat meat you havent personally killed

  • @ScarfaceVision lol I'm not gettin pissed about anything i just think this is stupid and doesn't capture the real essence of hunting. I'm not against it i just don't think there's any sport in it.

  • @nubsz911 the department of fish and game has a branch of govt called wildlife management which employs biologist to "manage the herd". may it be mule deer bear or wild pigs. hunters not only practically fund national forest, but they are also a tool for the wildlife management. every area/habitat has its carrying capacity for certain species. if we were to stop hunting, deer herds would breed out of control and run out of forage and the whole species would starve. in other words SHUT UP

  • @cgm0826 where in my comments did you stumble on the idea that i dislike hunting? I love hunting, but these elk have been genetically engineered and carefully bred, then simply let go in a caged environment. The people hunting them are doing nothing more than killing a domesticated animal, it's not the fact that they're killing an animal that i dislike, it's the fact that it wasn't a wild animal to begin with; and that you're (for lack of a better term) just shooting fish in a barrel.

  • go on a real hunt, study the area and the animals in the area......like taking candy from a baby

  • This video is fucking lame, do you seriously consider yourself to be a "hunter" of any kind? Hunting gated animals is fucking pointless and requires very little skill, even if you do spook them they never get far.

  • Why would you waste your time on elk that look like that seriously

  • Why would you waste your time on elk that look like that seriouslly

  • i wouldnt have shot either. they might be somewhat good size but damn they were ugly elk and their horns were kinda jacked up spindley looking. hope you had a good time cause it cost you a crap ton of money for an ugly elk. i would rather shoot a nice wild 5x5 over those two ugly things.

  • these arent farm elk. theres specific tags were you hunt these elk on privite ranches and they are all ear tagged elk

  • On the up side, this guy can shoot his bow. On the down side, he is exactly what is wrong with hunting as an industry. He'll hang those "purchased" antlers on the wall and claim them as a trophy. After a lifetime of chasing wild elk through the rugged mountains of Montana, I have little use for these Texas bred Romans. Every arrow publicly flung at a fenced domesticated animal brings us closer to the day the voting public loses its tolerance for a once noble pursuit. Why do we stand for this?

  • @6StringsDownForever Why is hunting noble?

You're destroying potentially happy and enjoyable lives for selfish reasons.

  • @6StringsDownForever Amen! I 'still' hunt and hunt 30-50 days out of every season. I use a longbow or recurve and kill one to two whitetails a season. It's a huge investment in time and calories. I have no problem with folks hunting from a stand or blind, but it burns my ass when they kill deer that are being fed from a feeder!

It's degrading our entire sport, our passion! Canned hunts all that bullsh*t is weakening basic hunting skills. More to hunting than taking a shot!

  • @sambomuaythaijack Lots of us in Texas hunt off feeders. Do you know why? We feed them *all* year because if we didn't, they'd starve. We've had no rain this year. We've spent hundreds of dollars on stock feed for them. Maybe you ought to consider circumstances before you shoot off at the mouth. I could have cows instead and send them to the slaughter house (what's the difference?), but the deer are a lot less work. You're right, there is more to hunting than taking a shot, it's called meat.

  • @tracker1312 Like every big mouth Texan I've ever known, tons of excuses for why you cheat: cards, hunting, racing, whatever. Tell yah what, if you're ever in Tulsa drop me a message and we can meet up at one of the local MMA gyms and I'll knock you on your prissy Texan ass.

"We feed 'em cause they'd starve!" Their populations explode because you feed 'em, dumbass.

  • @sambomuaythaijack Oklahoma? That explains a lot. Your ancestors were too stupid to read the sign that said "This way to Texas" because that's the only reason why anyone would settle in such a godforsaken place. I'll keep feeding my deer and keep eating venison and you can keep your dumb ass up in Tulsa.

  • @tracker1312 That's a first rate comeback from a half-wit that gets his nut shooting 'canned' deer. What a hunter! Justify your lack of skill anyway you want, you're a shitty hunter that needs all the toys and still has to bait the animal.

I bet your huntin' closet looks like a Cabela's catalog. Bet you've got the 'scent lock' ninja suit & the 2K compound bow with laser sites. Priceless.

  • High fenced pen raised ear tagged elk.

  • you all have nothing better to do.... cruel pricks

  • fake. shave 200" off, thats all you can claim for fake elk hunts.

  • You can usually get a closer shot out if you just leave them in their cage.

  • @masterexploder63 never mind i take that back i just saw those two bulls ear tags

  • @masterexploder63 not fake at all. last hunting season my dad shot his cow elk and the elk and the herd ran only 50 yards before the cow collapsed.

  • u shot the wrong 1 the other 1 is bigger

  • FAKE post a video here when you learn to hunt for real

  • nice bull.

  • Farm Animals!!! Those bulls have ear tags

  • so did you kill it eventually or just partially wound it?

  • lol daum that was the suckest video ever you shot the small bull because of the small cheaters its was a 350 bull and the other was a 370 bull

  • great video

  • the hunter gameplay:D

  • Whats a matter ralph? Get off me sam I dont feel so good lol.Nice shot

  • Awesome! Awesome!

  • lucky ass shoulder shot!

  • Sounds like you shoot a heavier arrow. Solid thud and excellent penetration. If I'm correct, it's nice to see somebody who knows what they are doing. I get tired of seeing the nimrods flinging superlights at elk with their whitetail tackle.

  • is there a "rest of the stry" somewhere?

  • "I was over in the Gila Wilderness southern NM and saw bulls do the same thing. Seems they can't figure out what just happened and they can't find anyone."

  • Awesome kill shot but why didn't they run off? They look like they were used to being approched by people.

  • @gitthenet they dont run off because their so big that went they get attacked, their natural reaction is to stand your ground and protect yourself. this case goes for moose as well. deer run away from squirrels. this elk didnt know where the attack came from and as a result just stood their and died.
