My favorite way to kill ticks is with fire from my blowtorch. That is the most effective way to kill them b/c it's nearly impossible to kill them using other ways. Use one of those butane blue flame lighters or those torches they use to brown the tops of some desserts. or just stab it with a pin and then burn it with a lighter.

Burning is not the way to kill ticks it they're attached to you, use tweezers. If you burn a tick that is attached to you it might throw up its contents into your flesh and cause worse pain around the bite area.
