Also, this wasn't the first game from Artoon, just their first in the stealth genre, and for the 360 system. GameFAQs has a listing for them, has Blinx and Yoshi DS
And if you have a problem with graphics, I pity you. These are certainly passable, I can tell what I'm looking at, I can see where I need to see, it works. More than good enough. Good graphics don't make good games, it just makes pretty games. I'd rather play a game with average graphics but great gameplay than realistic looking junk

Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect 2, Uncharted, God of War etc. Yes, graphics isn't everything when it comes to games, but it's a big factor in making a game immersive.

As for Portal being made by college kids on a budget, that was the original Narbacular Drop only. Portal was made after Valve hired them, and they had the Source engine and a much better budget for it.

@andysan007 If you are trying to fight vampires with regular weapons, you deserve to die. If you listened to the cutscene, you would know you don't have weapons intended for fighting them. Pistol is for little more than distractions and breaking locks, SMG is only good when with your team. Shotgun and sniper rifles are fine to take down the vamps, but until you get those, you need to use stealth. Which makes sense as this is meant to be a stealth game after all.
@begstok Only problem is if you can't do stealth. If you are interested in fighting every time you see an enemy, this isn't the game you want. If however, you know how to hide and be quiet, this is a decent game, and a steal at the prices it goes for now.

@eggyJono Funny, I could have sworn I was up against vampires, who would not be affected by seeing in the dark (nocturnal creatures after all, they would really have more trouble with bright lights) and who, upon seeing prey (aka YOU), would go have a meal, not having any problem catching a regular human with their enhanced abilities. As for the footsteps, I can't remember if those were in there or not, but it wasn't something that affected me as I have beaten the game easily using stealth.

@t40364 Each gun has a reason for having, the pistol just isn't recommended for fighting. It is instead used for taking care of locks and firing at birds to act as a distraction. The small machine gun you have can fight them if you are with your team. The group was sent in with plans to get the real guns from another team, which is mentioned if people listen.
This video makes people actually want to buy it, just to find out how bad it actually is. I brought this game for two dollars from my friend last Friday and now I feel stupid and depressed. ;-(

@MinesR34 Maybe instead of trying to play it like those, where you can attack your opponents, you should just plain hide from the super powered undead vampires what wouldn't go down from a pistol. They aren't human, they won't react the same. The cutscenes tell you to hide, not fight, because you aren't armed with weapons to take them on. If you can't figure that out, it isn't the games fault.

2 - You are up against immortal creatures of the night, of course regular guns don't do much. You SHOULDN'T be fighting in the first place.
3 - While this could be annoying, it is likely to stop people from carrying over good weapons from the rare combat missions. Who would stealth if they had 20+ shotgun shells from a previous mission.
4 / 5 - What, you expect vampires to be no better than humans?
7 - If you paid attention, you would know it is powered to do damage to vamps.

I understand those are your reasons for disliking the game and won't hate you for it, I know the game isn't for everyone, I'm just saying there are reasons for them, from limited weaponry so you have to use stealth, to enemies that force you to hide, all the way to knives that only do damage because they are changed with something that is basically sunlight and therefore has limited ammo. A regular knife wouldn't do damage.
I just expect people to keep in mind this is STEALTH

@cafaling But in this game, the time to be loud is rare, and always mentioned to you first while being handed a good weapon. Unless you are a pro, the pistol is only for doors, birds and other distractions, while the machine guns are for use when with your squad. Only the shotgun and sniper rifle are for fighting, and its still not always the best option. That is part of the problem many people seem to have with the game, they think that having weapons mean they should be fighting at the start.
So, your justification of this being a bad game is based on the opening cutscenes and the fact you can't friendly fire your team? Having completed the game, I'm not going to pretend its for everyone but it is a good game if you keep in mind what you are doing. It is a true stealth game, not like more recent stealth games. In this, if you are seen, you will die. You are up against vampires which are a lot tougher than any humans. Stuff like your pistol isn't going to phase them. You hide or die.

This game has no fun factor WHATSOEVER all you do is die, die, and die some more until you find a way to CHEAT to get through whether it be run to the vampires and run away to a bathroom or something. This game is terrible and should not be in stores EVER it should be recalled that's how bad.
@RedRaider8493 - The point to the game is stealth, you aren't supposed to get spotted. You don't need to cheat to play the game. You shouldn't even need to fight most of the time. Unfortunately, the rare occasions you do have to fight aren't very good, especially later against enemies with guns, but they aren't the focus of this game. IMO graphically and VA is passable, and I've heard a lot worse stories in video games. But like I said, this game isn't for everyone. Best for stealth buffs only.

@clay180 The video doesn't have anything to give reasons not to play, unless you expect it to allow you to allow you to kill team mates. They only showed the opening cutscene and the reviewer shooting another team member, not any gameplay.

This game isn't bad its just played the wrong way and given bad reviews based on that. Vampires are faster and stronger than humans so your bet bet is hiding... This is a stealth game people, not a fucking shoot-em-up

@Carnagedude504 Agreed. Sadly, too many people seem to be unable to listen and just go in expecting to play Metal Gear Solid with vampires, and die horribly. Its a shame that series gets called a good stealth game when its pretty much something ignored half the time.

@t40364 Each gun has a reason for having, the pistol just isn't recommended for fighting. It is instead used for taking care of locks and firing at birds to act as a distraction. The small machine gun you have can fight them if you are with your team. The group was sent in with plans to get the real guns from another team, which is mentioned if people listen.

This game is underrated, it is so many rubbish ps3 games out there so this game (if you buy it cheap)it is really good horror ,,and to me (I just finish it) is one of the best horror games.I enjoyed play and I keep it in my collection with my other games..the best thing is try it maybe you like.

@MinesR34 Maybe instead of trying to play it like those, where you can attack your opponents, you should just plain hide from the super powered undead vampires what wouldn't go down from a pistol. They aren't human, they won't react the same. The cutscenes tell you to hide, not fight, because you aren't armed with weapons to take them on. If you can't figure that out, it isn't the games fault.

2 - You are up against immortal creatures of the night, of course regular guns don't do much. You SHOULDN'T be fighting in the first place.
3 - While this could be annoying, it is likely to stop people from carrying over good weapons from the rare combat missions. Who would stealth if they had 20+ shotgun shells from a previous mission.
4 / 5 - What, you expect vampires to be no better than humans?
7 - If you paid attention, you would know it is powered to do damage to vamps.

I understand those are your reasons for disliking the game and won't hate you for it, I know the game isn't for everyone, I'm just saying there are reasons for them, from limited weaponry so you have to use stealth, to enemies that force you to hide, all the way to knives that only do damage because they are changed with something that is basically sunlight and therefore has limited ammo. A regular knife wouldn't do damage.
I just expect people to keep in mind this is STEALTH

@cafaling But in this game, the time to be loud is rare, and always mentioned to you first while being handed a good weapon. Unless you are a pro, the pistol is only for doors, birds and other distractions, while the machine guns are for use when with your squad. Only the shotgun and sniper rifle are for fighting, and its still not always the best option. That is part of the problem many people seem to have with the game, they think that having weapons mean they should be fighting at the start.

So, your justification of this being a bad game is based on the opening cutscenes and the fact you can't friendly fire your team? Having completed the game, I'm not going to pretend its for everyone but it is a good game if you keep in mind what you are doing. It is a true stealth game, not like more recent stealth games. In this, if you are seen, you will die. You are up against vampires which are a lot tougher than any humans. Stuff like your pistol isn't going to phase them. You hide or die.

Also the voice acting, graphics, and story are horrendous. This game has no fun factor WHATSOEVER all you do is die, die, and die some more until you find a way to CHEAT to get through whether it be run to the vampires and run away to a bathroom or something. This game is terrible and should not be in stores EVER it should be recalled that's how bad.

@RedRaider8493 - The point to the game is stealth, you aren't supposed to get spotted. You don't need to cheat to play the game. You shouldn't even need to fight most of the time. Unfortunately, the rare occasions you do have to fight aren't very good, especially later against enemies with guns, but they aren't the focus of this game. IMO graphically and VA is passable, and I've heard a lot worse stories in video games. But like I said, this game isn't for everyone. Best for stealth buffs only.
