  • In Soviet Russia, you do not work out, the out works you!

  • 0:37 she had her hands closed your supposed to have your fingers up and it resting between your thumb and palm so you dont get wrist strain etc

  • @1xxDollyxx1 find a RKC trainer near you. DragonDoor has a search for certified trainers. I strongly suggest you get 1-2 sessions minimum in before attempting a kettle bell swing. Proper form is everything, without it injury is assured. If your trainer determines you're ready for the KB on day one, then you will use it. Then go frm there as you need it

  • I've been in the gym over 20 years, Im 40 now and when I first gave the bells a shot I was a skeptic. I didnt see the diff between these and a simple dumbbell. WELL, the difference is balance and all the muscles you didn't know you had working to make the movements. My strength jumped in an order of magnitude I didn't think possible and it was functional strength WITH endurance. worth-every-penny.

  • notice they are all weak hippies

  • @ 0.52 can you imagine how much money is sitting there..kettlebells are rediculously expensive.

  • Its amazing how after all these years the RKC still teaches or endorses or whatever, the very middle of the bell to lay across the forearm in the overhead position. Watching that poor policeman move that huge bell overhead with his hand right in the middle of the handle - OUCH! Serious risk for injury. Your forearm goes between the bell and the vertical arm of the handle and your hand is near the joint, the way the AKC and the Cincinnati Kettlebell Club teach it. Thumbs if you agree.

  • I Love kettlebells, I don't even waste my time at the gym anymore. Calisthenics + Kettlebells = best shape ever.

  • 0:59 guy is gay

  • I use kettlebells, and to all those people that dis them. Your right, they are rubbish, don't use them...... to all who do use kettlebells, our secret is safe!

  • Don't say bad things about kettlebells, you might upset all the sheep who've spent money on the latest fad item in the world of fitness. Hard work, a healthy diet and a balanced programme of resistance work and cardio work combined with the right mentality will get you fit. I'm sure kettlebells can be useful but there's no point wasting your money on them if you already own dumbells, which in my opinion are more versatile. Each to their own though I suppose.

  • @xbob1980 I agree, you do not need KBs to get you fit; walking and running in the park will do that. Throw in a few push ups and sit ups and the odd dumbell and barbell and away you go. I will stick to my KBs PS - I did laugh when you said DBs were more versatile than KBs

  • @got2hurt The DBs that I own are more versatile. You can alter the weight for a start. That alone makes them more versatile.

  • @xbob1980 You can get kettlebells with which you can change the weight; but that is not what I meant.

Just by changing the way you move the KB you can emphasise cardio, or strength, or stability or combine all 3. Moving KBs is about developing functional real world application stength in a way I did not get with DBs.

It's up to you, but you might want to check out a book called "Enter the Kettlebell" available on Amazon and get a 16 or 20kg "Russian" KB. You won't regret it.

  • uhhhh..no

  • wow this is some bs, looks very risky for your back. especially for the fat and out of shape people being conned here.

  • get more done in less time

but i dont use em, i use tires!

  • Ive used kettlebells. They give you a workout but I dont particularly like them. They're just not for me. Lifting weights is my favorite thing to do. It relaxes me. I'd spend two hours a day in the gym over the summer and it was my favorite time of day. My wrestling coach showed me this kettlebell thing and I felt like it took the fun out of lifting. Its more for people that want to get in shape but dont want to lift weights as a hobby or dont have the time to do it.

  • ya I'm going to say kettlebells look pretty gay. how heavy do they make these kettlebells

  • Good call McGrath.

:15sec dude is the most annoying to me.

    D1 athlete signing off.

  • Kettle Bells are cool!!

  • half these people are really really skinny...

  • @McGrath435 kettlebells will make you look more like one of the Spartans from 300, instead of like Lee Haney or Arnold Schwarzenegger

  • look at all the pro bodybuilders that use kettlebells......... oh wait, none do...

  • @gibbyboy66 look at all the bodybuilders who can last 9 rounds in a boxing match..oh wait, none can..

  • @macleod1977 no one cares homo.

  • @gibbyboy66 if you are a bodybuilder, you might. B/C no matter how big you are tough guy, a KB-using Boxer like myself would beat the shit out of you.

  • @macleod1977 no on cares homo. u mad you look like shit brah?

  • @gibbyboy66 homo? I'm not the one posting vids of myself shirtless for his boyfriends. Men who worry about how they look in a mirror are insecure little pussies. the only thing that matters is how well you perform in the ring, octagon, or street.

  • @macleod1977 yea u mad. i can say the same thing about you, you are an insecure little pussy that feels like he has to prove himself by fighting. no one cares dude seriously. go up to a girl and be like "i can beat that guys ass." they wont give a shit plus they would just laugh because you are ugly as fuck. so stfu and stop acting hard on the internet fag. you are pathetic go wrestle with some more boys.

  • @gibbyboy66 Look kid, you've transformed yourself with weight training & dieting, so I'll give you respect for that; it takes dedication & discipline to achieve. Since you've never tried Kettlebells you have no arguement to stand on; it clearly shows your ignorance. Acting tough & insulting me when all you have are gym muscles is sad & immature. I probably shouldn't have expected more considering you're a kid. You can talk tough, but your skills don't equal your mouth.

  • @macleod1977 i get what you are saying dude, i respect you too. i have trained with kettlebells for 3 years with our football training program, and that is longer than ive trained with dumbbells. kettlebells are good for your purposes, explosion, but for regular people that want to get in shape and tone the muscles dumbbells are imo the key. its hard for most people to work with the design of a kettlebell, rather a dumbbell. like i said, it just depends on the person. i was just messing with you

  • @gibbyboy66 i just thought you were one of the stereotypical "tap out shirt wearing" tough guys, which you are obviously not. i dont have much respect for them because most of those people dont even get in the ring and fight. they just wear those shirts and think they are alpha. this video just gets to me because it is obviously bias, you can get a lot of the same results from dumbbells.

  • @macleod1977 yea u mad. i can say the same thing about you, you are an insecure little pussy that feels like he has to prove himself by fighting. no one cares dude seriously. go up to a girl and be like "i can beat that guys ass." they wont give a shit plus they would just laugh because you are ugly as fuck. so stfu and stop acting hard on the internet fag. you are pathetic, go wrestle with some more boys.

  • @gibbyboy66 lol

  • I am selling heavy rope attached to a... wait for it... a 10 lb plate... only $99.95. Inquire within.

  • They think they reinvented the wheel. Your basically swinging around a dumbbell. Wow, how revolutionary! If you want to juggle-go back to clown school!

  • that cops a homo

  • lol @ 2:13.

    These are absurd.

  • these people dont know how to use their ass! they gpt terrible rofm they are just humping the weight.

  • These people are all suckers, LOL!

  • the reporter is hot also

  • in soviet russia kettlebells use you

  • @manny93087

    dude.. shut up

  • Step 1: Get Heavy Object

    Step 2: Lift Heavy Object

    Step 3: ?????????????

    Step 4: Profit

  • dumbbells = kettlebells at half the cost. seriously, is there any notable mechanical difference between performing these movements with a kb vs. db? and if so do these differences actually favor a kb? if you want to be "toned" just lift heavy barbells and dumbbells and eat less. if you want be big and strong just lift heavy barbells and dumbbells and eat more. for 99% of people, this is not fucking rocket science, and no one has to spend heaps of money on heavy tea pots.

  • @razegfx try to use a kettlebell one time and trust me you'll see and feel the difference.

  • i've never been impressed with dragondoor products. especially pavel's. as a certified physical therapist assistant i can tell you that pavels explanation of PNF for his rehashed stretching book is 100% erroneous

  • i've never been impressed with dragondoor products. especially pavel's. as a certified physical therapist assistant i can tell you that pavels explanation of PNF for his rehashed stretching book is 100% erroneous

  • Go to Russia with that kettle bell BULLSHIT.

You want to get ripped and have mass at the same time?

    Do a year in prison.

  • kettlebells - people with clitorious.

Barbell and dumbells - real men.

  • Hahahaha. These people are idiots. Kettlebells are decent supplementation for conditioning, but in no way should they comprise your entire workout. They for little boys that weigh 130lbs soaking wet and old women that want to look like those little boys.

  • dude, they work. I've lost 40lbs.

  • squats, dead lifts, pull ups, bench pres, and cleans is all you need. go as light or heavy as you want. do 20-30 minutes of cardio and you WILL be fit...

  • @olin10 Did I say that i dont work my quadricep femoris and gastrocnemius?

    They're my favorite actualy.

  • @chris96kalonji

I think you mean your Vastus Lateralis(quadriceps). And don't forget your Biceps Femoris (hamstrings), seeing as everyone knows your posterior chain is the key to real strength. And you may never be stable if you don't work your Adductor Longis. hahaha, don't try to sound smart on youtube kid, because there's always someone out there smarter than you. Just say quads and calves.

  • @CookieMonstre Dude I wasn't trying to sound smart that was just common knowladge. Dude I have an antomy book right here with all the "proper" pronounciations and shit.

Dude this has nothing to do with the originial comment so fuck you and have a nice day.

  • @CookieMonstre lol thats so funny hahaa

  • fuck you

  • I haven't heard much about kettle bells, but what advantages do they have over dumbbells?

  • I don't want to work my ass. Im not gay.

I want to work my biceps, deltoids, rectus abdominus, pectorialis major, tricept, etc.

I can go all day and but one i dont have is the ass.

  • I don't really see how kettlebells are any different than regular barbells and dumbbells you would see in any gym in America. The only thing I saw come close was the between the leg snatch, and I would think the regular snatch would be better because you can use much more weight and activate more muscles.

  • kettle bells annoy me..

  • :58 what a dork!

  • 8-( I'm sad. 20 years ago ( at age 20 ) I was unique training with bells. (people thought I was crazy) I threw the Discus in college. I learned about bells from the Scandinavian throwers. They also were great for the next few years when I got back into Judo.

  • bells are ok for general fitness and strength, but not much use for advanced body builders. guess it heppends what you're looking for.

  • I am a HUGE fan of bells, but I don't think they are much use for even beginner body builders. Much less advanced.

  • Just wait till somebody swings one of those into somebodies head and cracks it open, kettle bell's will be banned forever lol.

  • I use a jug of spring water they sell at Big Lots and it does the same thing xD

  • Hahahaha

  • I love water jug training. They are a bit more cumbersome but are definitely a great and inexpensive alternative.

  • @forcefedfreak Wow, that's genius. Water jugs!

  • Not one single thing mentioned or demonstrated in that video is exclusive to KB training. Guess what you can do the same thing with a DB.

  • the weight distribution is different between kb and db. so the results are going to be different aswell..

  • @somedoodles

True enough, db's and kb's are not the same, but the differences are not found in any manner described in this video, which is the issue forcefedfreak was referring to. Personally, I'm a barbell person - the coaches of Wichita Falls (Pendlay and Rippetoe particularly) won me over.

  • @forcefedfreak And this is why KB haven't taken over the world.

  • @ChocolatePoop1301 they haven't taken over the world because not everybody has the endurance to handle them

  • @dpugh334 That doesn't make sense. Endurance means duration under stress. If that was true, people could start with a lighter weight. Also, if that statement were true people wouldn't be able to handle dumb bells or any other equipment. KB require additional investment for gyms, have a limited number of exercise, and require some degree of training to use them effectively. This is why they haven't taken over the world.

  • @ChocolatePoop1301 a limited number of exersise?? how so? when military presses, squats, deadlifts and quite a number of movements can be done with KB'S!! i"ll tell you what why don"t you o on youtube and check out a guy by the name of MIKE MAHLER

  • @dpugh334 Don't get all emotional about your favorite piece of equipment. I'm not saying I dislike them, only proving why they will never hit mainstream. You just limited KBs yourself! You provided 3 exercises, which can be modified slightly but are essentially the same thing. Compare the possible exercises with the possible DB exercises. Also compare what can or can not be done with DBs. It's like a person owning 2 different SUVs, it's nice if you're rich, but unnecessary.

  • @ChocolatePoop1301 i'm not getting emotional my man..i have strong opinions about this just like you do and as far as limited the KB's i just gave you some examples of what KB can be used for... also i used to workout with weights and DB'S so i do know what can or can't be done with them.

  • @dpugh334 It's logic, not "opinions." I would love to use KBs if my gym had them, but I was agreeing with another person on how KBs won't hit mainstream. It's like wishing my gym spent $500 on a battling rope system. It would be great, but unnecessary. KBs aren't ergonomic for heavy shoulder or chest presses, so that limits their utility. Why do squats with KBs when you needs 100 (figurative) KBs for increasing weight when you can use barbells and modify the weight easily. I

  • @ChocolatePoop130 so if it's logic then what your right and i'm wrong?? we obvisouly have different ways of getting fit but that is the main goal to be fit, ripped, and strong right??

  • @dpugh334 There is not right or wrong. What I said was a fact. Did I say KBs suck? No, I just pointed out why they won't ever be as popular as barbells or DBs. If the main goal is to get in shape, then most people will opt for the least expensive equipment that offers the most utility. That's not KB.

  • @ChocolatePoop1301 well for me i'm definately sold on KB'S they have given me a definition on my body that i've never seen and i feel different when i work out with them..not sayin that there is anything wrong with using barbells and DB'S but i'm going by what i've expereinced so far.

  • @forcefedfreak @razegfx Heve you ever even tried using kettlebells? Apparently not. Due to the ergonomics and design of kbs, a clean, snatch, jerk and swing can be performed much more comfortably and safely, eliminating the danger of a dumbbell cracking your fucking skull during a jerk. There's also an array of juggling exerxises that you couldn't possibly do with any other tool. The KB's shape and design makes this possible. In short: you don't know shit.

  • There's a reason why bodybuilders don't use kettlebells.

  • @JoeyBieg WHY?

  • @voncoolio But at the same time, it's effect is overstated. Like anything else, it's just another way to get a workout. KB proponents try and make it out to be some revolutionary way to workout... when it's just another (good) way.

  • Fad fitness

  • Where did that video with the woman and the pallets at 2:27 come from? It's totally distinct from the rest of the video.

  • "I dont have a washing machine, I just use that! *points to abs*"

Keep dreaming buddy, get on some rings and lower your BF then we'll talk.

  • I'm a big fan of a firm butt. If you want one, get off it and pick up a bell.

  • @ironkettlebellfitnes hahahahaa

  • Very inspirational!
