totally agree, Sam was the complement of Diana and vice versa: Sam was more romantic, better person in every way with her, and she, in turn, was more spontaneous, fresh and funny with the ..., I is said to be mate of one another, period.

I... preferred Rebecca. Diane drove me nuts (actually, 90% of the roles Shelly Long plays drive me nuts). Rebecca was funny, pretty, smart, but had so many quirks that I just found so much more likable than Diane's "Look, Sam, I wrote poetry! I'm so brilliant!" personality. I think a character LIKE Diane would have been fine (I liked Kelly a lot, and she was like a toned down version of Diane to some degree) but I hated the way she carried herself and the way she talked to other people.
