  • your completely amazing, so clever. weldone

  • u wer just like me in school then! lol

  • I think this coming out story is really important ! .. Congratulation ! .. your brother and your parents are the important part, and deserve a STANDING OVATION

  • oh my god he is so beautiful!

  • I'm glad your family was very accepting of you. My Mom had struggled with it, but now is fine with it.

  • what an accepting family

  • So glad everything worked out for Colin. He sounds like a really great guy.

  • We have the same name!!!! So few people only have one 'L' in their names XD

  • Goooooo Colin! ;-)

  • I love you

  • adorable !

  • You GO boy :-) Thanks for being a great role model for young people who are gay and need to know they're not alone.

  • Well, you are really blessed with your family!!

  • Wow came out the exact same way and same timeline except I didn't come out to people in university in first year! Same experience with friends and family though! I feel just as lucky as you expressed!

  • xAinonaix that was a great project. I am so thankful that in this day and time, young people can actually discuss this subject, which was taboo when I was a teenager. Being gay (that word was not used back then - we were simply queer) was a subject not discussed, period. I could write a book about the "dark old days," but it would be mostly a horror story. Too bad so many homophobes still exist, their hate encouraged mostly by organized religion.

  • <3 go social introversion im the same way :)

  • Congrats Colin and welcome to the family! <3.....

  • pretty cool that he wants to share his story so that other gay people who wants to come out, wouldn't feel so intimidated. he's a great man.

  • hearttopmodel05, I agree with you up to a point. I just don't think a 14-year-old is mature enough to take on the responsibilities of life after coming out of the closet. How do you know how your parents will take the news? It is too late, once you have told them. After the cat is out of the bag, you can't put it back. I just don't see what is to be gained by doing that at that young age. Certainly a lot of harm can ensure. I am just thinking about your well-being.

  • @MrMusiclover41 I'm 14 and I just came out of the closet. Personally, I was very lucky because I'm from Toronto and we're very accepting. But if you live in america i'd advise to wait.

  • @MrMusiclover41 At models of pride we were doing a coming out group thing. We had the teens fill out a chart we made up: Who to tell,How they would react, Positives for coming out, Negatives for coming out and Why would it benefit you. It was quite nice and some realized, "Wow! I never thought of it like that. Im totally not ready for this" :)

  • Thank you for sharing your story Colin, and best wishes for your future happiness.

  • You're such a cutie.. won't have problem to find a hunkie boyfie!

  • Nice story. You were wise in waiting till later in life to do this. I agree with you about not coming out till you are 100% ready. You have to put your welfare first. It would be stupid to come out to your parents at a young age, just to be kicked out of the house onto the street. I think you should wait till you are old enough to support yourself before coming out. Good video. Happy New Year!

  • @MrMusiclover41 Well, that's if there's a good chance your parent's won't take it well. I came out when I was 14 because I knew my parents would react positively, and they did. Everyone's situation is different~

  • I'm glad he shared his story =3

I too wanted to do that myself by going away to college out of state, but that never worked out.

  • Great story! <3

    PS. He's cute :)
