  • now that's good!

  • SO AWESOME

  • @iLANCE3D, @carlotor36472003, you can plug this into a real amp... it's sort of a hit-or-miss whether you can plug it into a real amp AND use the midi at the same time (sometimes there seem to be grounding issues which drive the midi crazy)... the drums/bass are from cakewalk sonar, but the synth is the modular synth you see in the background, a mattson mini modular...

  • What software are using on computer to get those sounds ?

  • You can use this guitar in a real amp?

  • @carlotor36472003 Yes you can :)

  • making a guitar sound like a totally different instrument.... the very reason I dislike techno and computerised music....

  • So what are your overall feelings about the tracking on this? Is it accurate as far as detecting your string plucking and attacks? Is it velocity sensitive? No seems to be posting any information about it as a MIDI controller.

  • @audiotrax2000 note tracking is pretty good so long as you have the action set up well - if you have it so low that the strings end up buzzing on higher frets, that will cause the guitar to think that you're actually fretting those higher frets (or that you have at least moved off the fret you were sustaining) and futz things up. but my opinion (after having wrangled with other pitch detectors) is that, once set up, it is pretty dependable getting the right pitch. (continued...)

  • ... the detection of plucks is a slightly different story. so once you get past the bummer-factor that the guitar will not detect plucks correctly unless you have the mute deployed, it does OK so long as you are fairly steady about how you pluck. it still misses here and there if I try to do fast things. similarly, there is velocity sensitivity, but I have not found it to be useable... if you try to pluck lightly for a low vel., sometimes you don't trigger the note-on, etc.!

  • What is the synth module in this video? Looks very impressive. Is the strings' action high and can you play guitar and synth together? Thanks.

  • love the weirdness of your tunes ! keep the demos coming !

  • wow. that is actually really awesome. tempted to pick this up now....

  • So jealous. This guitar will never be available here in New Zealand.

  • @Tiwaking

The guitar is already on its way to NZ. Still a little bit of a wait though. Apparently the end of April. Contact a Fender dealer to place an order.
