@imjustwonderful if you read more comments, you'll know it didnt break the transmission.
And you'd have to be a pretty shitty driver to break a Getrag V160/161 transmission..... theres plenty running single digit ETs on the stock transmission. Every single MKIV at Texas Mile is making well over 800hp some even 1300+ on the stock tranny.
My old MKIV made 1100rwhp before I decided to sell it for a down payment on a house.
I never understood why cars have a hole on a tail light like that. I know it's probably to get more air but what, does it somehow go into the turbo or what?
@keevre Cause when you do a burnout sometimes the smokes of the tire's go's inside the car and then you can't see so they open the doors and the smoke clears out. Hopefully that helped. Peace
@Frittrich Yeah but by the time you let off the clutch he's already halfway down the track and when you shift in to 3rd he's celebrating the easy win. LOL
@Frittrich autos are generally faster and much much more consistant. maybe with a liberty clutchless box it might compare but definately a h-pattern box will be slower regardless of driver skill - which has little to do with how fast somebody can change gears.
@Frittrich Yeah it really just depends on how fast the car actually is. It is true that for most street cars a standard is preferred (11 seconds and slower cars). However, when it comes to the dragstrip and cars that easily break 10 seconds, it is much more common to see automatics as they do eventually end up being able to shift faster than even the best shifter. Some drag strip kings never even came with a standard transmission (buick grand national is the first car that comes to mind)
this isnt a manual transmition car is it?...i dont think sum1 would be able to shift gears fast enough in that beast they'd probably burn the rev limiter lol
@redrosecross you consider a 7 sec supra you can enjoy ripping down the 1/4 mile time and time again as ruining a good car? lol i think it just makes it better, these people don't care about street racing they know where the fun is and why not build a car to do what you love?
your an idiot. the car obviously was built for drag racing, do you really think they cared about the A/C or having heated leather seats? next thing you know some idiots gonna say 'well its fast but my car gets better mileage'. they took a car with potential and built it into a monster. thats not ruining a good car. if you want heated leather seats, sat nav, and a plush ride then why would you look at drag racing videos? go watch some vids of some looser with a DUB'ed out car.
@Fonz87 Because the transbrake basically holds the transmission in both reverse and 1st gear at the same time so it can spool the turbo up, since it failed the car went in reverse for a split second before it actually launched forward. Hope that makes some sense.
@Fonz87 he moves back to get into the trie groove, watch like IHRA & NHRA dragsters and after they burnout watch them they will back in the groove of rubber that they just layed down to get maximum grip. now that supra was porrbly just not lined up right thats all, hope this awsners your question.
@ScottiesVlog are you messed in the head dude, have you ever been to a drag racing event? to me it sounds like you havent so why dont you learn about drag racing, if the transbrake broke which holds your car from going forward why would it go backwards? that just doesnt make sense...if the transbrake broke it would have launched forward not backwords....its common sense dude think twice before you talk. and dont say because its "standerd" its likely automatic which 95% of drag cars are.

thats the quate from the guy . i do go drag racing loads but you just miss that comment even though its the most liked....
@midnightneonmatt also the trans brake is in forward and reverse gear so it is very possible for it to go into reverse if you dont believe me as the guy who posted this video he even said it was the trans brake which broke.
@ScottiesVlog that still doesnt make sense though? why would the transbrake be in forward and reverse gear..that what boggles my mind why would it be setup up for reverse? unless they do reverse drag racing? i set up a transbrake with my dad and his friend's 70 chevelle and we didint do anything to set it up to the reverse gear... P.S sorry for sounding like a douche earlier :o)
