  • Someone find me some headlights for my B1. I will not rest until I find them. Zippo, yours look stock. They are on a bar that bolts to the uprights arent they?

  • @slowpokebr549 Actually, for the B-1 there is only one light on the front on top of the hoods. What mounts my lights is a curved light bar that mounts to the grill support. I lucked into a factory chrome light bar and the lights are identical to the stock lights (Guide Lamp) but were on a Harley Davidson FLH. Check out Simpletractors dot comm. Most of what we do to these old machines is in that web sight. Best of Luck to You!!! Cheers!

  • That is awesome. The old landlords look so tough. Love the chrome hubcaps.

  • @bradkonen03 Thanks!!! To me, they're the most attractive of any garden tractors of its vintage.

  • I found the orange paint, any clue on the off-white for the rims? Your saving my life here Zippo:)

  • Hey Bro! Check your message in box. I replied there.

  • @dmaul7 paint looks like International Harvester White., could be wrong though.

  • @surrynet You got it! That's what matches closest to the original. I thought I replied earlier to the inquiry. Sorry!! lol....old brain isn't what it used to be. Cheers!!

  • @surrynet You have one SWEET Simplicity !!. The only thing that would make it better is if it was mine !!!, Wish I could find one yours. NICE

  • @surrynet I appreciate the compliment! She's my baby. There's a few others in the collection that help keep this one from having to do much on the farm which helps keep her nice....Thanks again!

  • Thanks for your response, I truly appreciate it!

  • Redoing a 67', decals and paint, where'd you get ahold of them?

  • @dmaul7 The paint matches up to Duplicolor DE1607. It's chevy engine enamel and it is tough as nails once it's cured. As close to a perfect match of any other paints I've tried, and that amounts to about 40 shades between the Allis Yellow and Simplicity Orange. Decals link on Simpletractors dott comm. Hope it helps and enjoy the restoration!!

  • where did you get the seat?

  • @muttyfutty1 It was actually a fluke! I was at a gentleman's warehouse of vintage farming equipment and saw a dusty old box with the Simplicity logo on it and asked Lowell what was in there. He said it was a damaged rear fender for a 3300 series tractor and that I could just have it since it was boogered up. When I got the box home, there it was, in the box with the damaged fender. A brand new, never mounted seat. Just the luck of the draw!!

  • Ide almost be afraid to use it seeing how clean-cut and shiny it is

  • @rangerbuddy1066 I actually do use here from time to time. Pulling the yard trailer, pushing or blowing snow and other light duty tasks like that. With it being unrestored, I don't worry too much about a scratch here and there. A full on restoration is eminent, but its not high on the priority list. Thanks for the compliment buddy!!! Cheers!!

  • i have an oprotunity to buy 1 for 100 bucks should i?

  • @fordsmopars4lif3 I would!!

  • love it. i have a wheel horse with the same tire as ur inside 1s. i really wish i had dullys

  • @redneck3536 You can order dual wheel spacers for less than 50 bucks off ebay from user "millertirco".

  • @ZippoVarga ohh ok thanks

  • What a beauty!!!

  • @charger19691 Thanks Charger! She's the queen of the ball....the rest are used and abused machines..lol. Cheers!!

  • the best trek I have seen really cool

  • @936niels Thanks Niels!!

  • has long experience with Simplicity equipment. how does that belly scraper workout? the front dozer blades were good for snow and loose materials. On the 9000's and certain 7000's there were true hydraulics for down pressure. We would hang ag suitcase weights on the front blade when pushing back snow on the lake for ice skating rinks even then one of us would ride the blade and front hood to keep the front tires planted. OSHA be damned

  • @BornRandy62 You have better control when crowning a gravel driveway with the grader mounted at mid point. Box blades with scarifiers work awesome on the back. Simplicity/Allis-Chalmers also offered a toothed grader which did as good a job as a rear mounted box blade. The trouble with the rear mounted graders, to me, is lack of control with downward pressure. you can stand on the mid mounted grader to assist one side or the other and weights fore and/or aft are an option. Cheers!!

  • the is the best!!!

  • Nice tractor. Hows the back pain thing going?

  • @richprint29 Sorry for the delayed reply my friend! It has been a real bugger here recently, but we keep on keeping on! Thanks for checking in on me!

  • That is AWESOME!

  • Aint she a beauty! I'm getting a 1995 landlord in august!

  • wow very nice

  • that thing is awesome!!

  • Great tractor. wow. my landlord is a skinny jerk.. this thing is what a landlord should be.

  • @yz125yamaha10 Thanks yz!! I've got a number of different tire options for the old girl. Gotta love the old Wisconsin Iron!!

  • Wow wow wow. I just bought a 68 Landlord 2110. This makes me glad I did. Nice tractor man.

  • @jujujubee Thanks Juju! A little elbow grease and most of the older machines can really turn out stunning. If you post a video of your 2110, be sure to send it to me when you get one posted. And....most importantly.....ENJOY IT!!! Cheers!!

  • now that's a badass landlord! love it. the 60's simplicity's are the best in my opinion. i have a 68 2110 that i still mow my grass with. it still cuts like a new john deere wishes it could and looks good doing it. way cool tractor you have.

  • @seriessixty525 I mow with a pair of 1964 Allis-Chalmers B-10s. Can't beat the stripes these old machines lay down!! Thanks a TON for the compliment. That's my baby. It shares company with 5 others right now. The oldest is my Simplicity made Wards Garden Mark Squire made in 1959 and the newest are my 3 1964 machines. Deers, Cubs and Wheel Horses dream of growing up to be like a Simplicity...lol.

  • Thanks for the help with the Allis 416 yesterday, and another great vid, kinda short though. My 416 wants to die every 8 to 10 minutes, it seems to run fine, at first I thought it was the electric clutch. I have been jumping the solenoid as I think the switch is bad, any ideas, the electrical connections look clean, non corroded. It runs great mowing.

  • this tractor looks a like very new 2011

  • @cancerianodiablo Thank you very much! She's my pride and joy. Cheers!!

  • That is a serious rig there. Nice work. Sub worthy!!! My new hobby is old garden tractors now so you got my sub

  • @Fastdirt505 Thanks for the compliment and the Subscription Fast!! Glad you like the old girl. Labor of love.

  • that's an absolutley bad assed little tractor. was the grading blade made specifically for that model tractor? I like to find one for my suburban. the chrome really sets the red off. It's not over done. i love chrome so it's hard for me to say but some people can get a little gaudy with it. where did you find your tires? I know it's none of my business but whats your total investment (there abouts) in this machine? if you don't mind me asking.

  • @MrDamnifiknow I believe the grader blades made for the Suburbans were rear mounted on a cat 0 three point and hung out back. They are hard to find, but out there. The wheels and tires are 6-12 Carlisle Tru-Power on 6 x12 inch wheels, the inside rears are 23x10.5x12 on 7.5x12 inch wheels and on front are 16x6.5x8 Firestone Tri-Rib. I truly only have about $800.00 on the tractor. The tractor is self was free, so the $800 is in tires and implements and bling only.

  • what type of landlord is that and what year

  • @killerdbob Hey Bob! There was only one type of Landlord in 1964 and this is it. Made by Simplicity and it has a number of implements hanging off it as well as some extra bling. Thanks!

  • what type of landlord is that and what year

  • That tractor looks sweet!!!

  • @craiger1er Thanks Craiger! And thanks for the Sub!!

  • that is the best tractor i ever saw

  • @MegaMoneymaker95 Thanks Mega Money!! She's my pride and joy in the fleet. I'm glad you like it. I don't use her much any more since I have others to take care of my yard chores. Cheers!!!

  • Wow! Id love to mow my yard with that!

  • @Ls7colorado Thanks Ls7! I occasionally put the mowing deck on her for a trip around the yard, but her brothers and sisters (two 1964 B-10s) typically take care of the yard chores.

  • @ZippoVarga awsome man, I want a old little tuff tractor to fix up and actually use it to mow with. I got about 2 acres but I cant decide what to get. I found a deere 140 for cheap but id like to get something really rare like yours! Nice work!

  • i've seen this video 10 times and can't stop watching it,great looking tractor!

  • @NIGHTRIDER995 Thanks Bro! It is my baby. I have 7 others that I put to work while this one stays safely in the shop.

  • @TheFunhouse16 Heya little Bro! It's got a 12 horse power Briggs in it right now, with the original 23D 9 Horse Power Briggs rebuilt and ready for paint, then it will go back in. The 12 HP is my dependable spare that goes in which ever tractor needs it's engine rebuilt. Good strong engines these Briggs and Strattons are. What's your favorite engine??

  • Beast!!!!

  • @1DieselFuelOnly1 It would be even Beastlier with a Lombardini!!!! That is something I'm looking at for my Ugly-Alice project. Doesn't have to be a Lombardini, but I'd LOVE a good small stout Diesel to hear clattering along while doing the yard chores. Cheers!

  • Wow! A work of art that is extremely practical! Nice. Are the lights chrome stack and air cleaner stock? Goes with the hubcaps nicely. I'm into wheel horses right now but I think the old Simplicitys look so cool. Maybe I can find a trade...

  • @notoriouslizw Thanks for the compliments on my baby!! The Stack and headlights are not stock parts. The Air Cleaner IS a stock part on later Briggs engines and I adapted it to my application. Just had to use a shorter upright on the carb so it would clear the hood, as the original is not as tall as this one. The headlights are actually from a 1984 Harley Davidson FLH and the light bar, which is also chrome, is a stock item that wound up at the chromers somewhere along the way. Thanks Again!!

  • do u know anything about Unico lawnmowers?

  • I'll work on anything that comes my way. But I am not familiar with that name.

  • @ZippoVarga a guy gave me one but i cant seen to find anything about it

  • Go to my tractor forum dot com and check with those guys there.

  • Where did you get the moon hubcaps?

  • That set is actually for 10 and 6 inch wheels. I had to alter the 10 inch hub caps by flaring out 4 of the clips to grab the part of the wheel where the hub is welded. I've gotten them from many different places. Ebay for one. Other places include tractor shows that vendors attend. Flea markets etc.

  • i went to that show and i think i remember seein it

  • I'll be on a Broadmoor this year. Gotta make room for those gotta have purchases. I'm almost finished with the Broadmoor and I'll be making a video of it once it's finished. Look for it at the show if you happen to be going this August.

  • @ZippoVarga ill try to make it

  • awesome man truely a beautifule tractor!

  • Thanks Colin! She's my baby. Also, thanks for the Sub and Friendship! Have a great 4th!!!

  • @ZippoVarga no problem buddy! same to you!

  • How do you put 4weels on the back

  • With Dual wheel spacers. Much like the large farm tractors use to mount two sets. They were made by Simplicity, Cub Cadet, Wheel Horse, Gravely etc...Most people never saw the need, so they didn't bother investing in them or a spare set of wheels. This makes the stock spacers harder to come by for the older machines.

  • Oh my that is nice!

  • Thanks Z guy!!!

  • The exhaust is more beautiful than the original! "Will not return to the engine?

I have now made 728 total renovation of the video ..

  • The original muffler was long gone when I got this tractor. It had a generic Briggs muffler on it. Looking forward to watching your video!

  • very nice!

  • Thanks ED!

  • beautiful tractor! the original exhaust?

  • Not the original exhaust. Thanks for the compliment! The exhaust was purchased at a tractor show. Very good quality, and double walled to keep the chrome looking good.

  • Now I know thats a 1964 9hp LandLord lol I love them.I have been into collecting these for years and lost my whole collection 11 in all when my sons pole barn burned to the ground I must have cried for a year.Mine was a complete frame off restore but I stuck with the stock exhaust and the same size v's in the rear.Dam its a twin or was I should say.Just a suggestion some guys in this Simlicity tractor club I belong to started putting the stacks on them and a few snapped off at the engine. Cheers

  • I've got another video of how to reinforce/brace the stacks to the engine. I've been running them for years with no failures. What clubs? Simpletractors, Michaels, MyTractorForum are the three that I frequent the most and usually only when I've got a little free time to play. Cheers!!

  • beautiful

  • Thanks my friend! Once all that snow melts I'd like to see the finished Yeoman!

  • soon . once i get the wiring done I'm gonna git it painted so my mom can show it.

  • i want a 64 landlord or b110 but i couldnt find one for a resonable price so i settled for a 64 cub 100 still looking for a landlord tho

  • Be patient Bobby....I waited quite a long while for the opportunity to get just one, then they started coming out of the woodwork.

  • yeah i had wanted a horizontal shaft engine garden tractor for 2 years before i got the cub then after i got it home i went on craigs list and there were a ton of allis, simplicity and bolens on there with multiple attachments for the same price but thats the way it works i guiess

  • Wow now that is a real collectors item, very sweet! I think i'm getting hooked on this good old stuff!

  • I would rather push an old tractor than ride a new one. lol

  • That thing is just too cute!! Are the headlights original?

  • Hmm..."Cute"....not exactly how I would describe it but Thanks!! lol The headlights are not original, but are identical in every respect except that they are Chrome. The light bar is original and Chrome from the factory. Thanks for the comment!!

  • that is one badass machine.

i bet that blade doesnt even slower her down.

  • Thanks! She's a labor of love. Not much slow these machines down, that's for sure.

  • Wow that old girl is sweet!

  • I think i pissed myself looking at that machine!

  • lol....easy there Sornberger!! Thanks...I think...lol

  • Hey thats something else i wish i had something likle that.I have a craftsman tractor and a wheel horse and stuff i would like to put the Dually wheels on my craftsman but I dont know how or what it takes. again that thing is just incredable. Very Nice 5/5. i even subscribed this is a great tractor. did you redo- it?

  • Hiya Blaster. Thanks for the thumbs up. The tractor is unrestored. I painted the Hood about three years ago and I've added a lot of chrome. All the tires and wheels are new and just before I took that video I painted the two grill pieces and added new decals. I didn't want to do a whole restore because it's in such good original condition for being 45 years old. Thanks again for the thumbs up!!

  • That is really hardcore yet really sleek and elegant. Defiantly worth the .2 seconds it toook to subscribe(:

  • Thanks for the compliment!

  • Comment removed

  • wow now that is the best restoration that i've seen on an garden tractor very nice job

  • Thanks Garrett, but that tractor is all original except for the hood and grill that I pianted. I've thought about restoring her, but she's in very good original shape.

  • wow than that is in spectacular shape then

  • ThanksMan!

  • that is SHARP!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks Bebo! That's a sharp Sears you have there on your home page! You and 500passwords in kahoots? That looked like one of the tractors he showed in one of his videos.

  • thanks!! but no i dont know

500passwords, i will try to get one of my tractor, i just cant get my camera to work. :)

  • You might also subscribe to 500passwoerd videos....he's got some awesome tallent.

  • yeah, i was checking out some of his videos, he is pretty cool

  • hey man where did you get those front tires i have 2 1965 wheel horses one is 655 and the other is a 855 and i have a jacobsen chief

  • They're Firestone Tri ribs and Millertire has them on ebay. Watch out for sticker shock though.......I had to sell quite a bit on ebay to justify buying them. Your collection sounds great! I had Wheel Horses for a long time before getting into the Allis-Chalmers and Simplicity line of Garden Tractors.

  • looks great man , im restoring a couple garden tractors .

i got some videos of it on here . ill have to remember that portland show.

how far is portland from indy

  • It's about an hour and 45 minutes give or take. Thanks for the compliment.

  • Awsome- looks like brand new. One of these days i need to finish working on my 69 broadmoor.

  • Thanks Kidd! My first Simplicity was a 1964 Broadmoor. Loved that tough little tractor. But when I moved and trippled my property size, well...it would take DAYS to mow...lol. Since then I've had countless come through and a few take up permanent residence. Don't forget the videos while you're working on her!

  • I have some original pictures when i brot it home- i just posted a video of the simplicity, im getting it back together.

I doesnt have its original 8HP briggs on it- but i still have it in my shed- i transplanted a 10HP briggs on it - for simpler installation.

A few details on the deck need redoing, and it needs to be rewired.

  • congrats! that thing is the coolest tractor ive ever seen!

  • Thanks Tyler! It's a labor of love with the old girl.

  • yeah, my friends have a 62 simplicity 725. no compression, needs a rebuild

  • If they just got it, have them pull the head and see if it isn't just a valve that's stuck. A replaced headgasket is a helluva lot cheaper if all it is is a stuck valve. I've had that problem on a number of engines.

  • Ok but his dad used to be a collector, he used to have 9 simplicitys! It's the only one he has left to work on.

  • That thing is reeeeeeeeeeally sweet looking. Like those front rib tyres. btw, how much would you reckon a simplicity (like the one I showed you) is worth?

  • I'll message you. Thanks for the compliment!

  • what a awesome restore

  • Hey Dan! Thanks for the compliment, but.....believe it or not.....it's not been restored, it's all original. The only thing I painted on the tractor it self is the hood. The rest of it was just good old elbo grease.

  • I always am on the look out for a landlord , I love those !
