Welp, I probably got myself into a heap of trouble. I'm trying for a "I don't feel like doing anything extra" run on hard mode, so I'm fighting this guy with nothing but a maxed out Powered Buster that does the same amount of damage as my buster. I can do alright until the 2nd form starts calling down lasers. Then I can't dodge them fast enough, and my 15 spare health cartridges don't cover the cost..

juno is a pretty pathetic final boss. Have you tried with hardest possible fight like base buter stats no jump springs no special weapons and no jacket and such.

How do you dodge the blasts of energy that fall from the ceiling around 2:30? I tried doing this once and I could never avoid those blasts even though I continuously "ran" away from them.

god when i was 9 this bastard was hard as hell to me...then 2 replays l8er realized god i sucked at this. although i did have fun roaming around in the dungeons, enjoying some of the voice acting (lets face it wasnt great but wasnt all that horrible either), kickin those annoying barking sometimes attacking dogs in the faces, and all a round gameplay.although will say i never was able to get the shining laser...never kne wat area i missed :(

1 question, 2 points.

1) How long/ much does it take to get the fully powered laser like you were using?

2) This isn't hard mode because a) The move prior to the falling lasers has three, count 'em, THREE shock waves and b) In hard mode you can't just run from the lasers, they're too fast and home to accurately. Sorry to burst your bubble. Nice job on normal though. Rock on, Rockman! Erm, I mean Megaman. :)

It takes about 15+ hours for me to grind zenny needed for it.

Also, your points are wrong. There are only two waves in hard mode. I have a file on normal mode, and on that file, Juno only sends out one wave. Secondly, there is a way to dodge them. There are many videos and tutorials on how to dodge them. Watch Darkkefka's videos for it if you have to. There are 3 ways to dodge that attack.

Before you assume the worst, try confirming. It's even on gamefaqs/gamespot/neoseeker.

Sorry for the downplay. Upon watching more closely, I noticed how you alternated the L1-R1 turns while running from his lasers. And I do believe my memory served me wrong in regards to the shockwaves. My apologies. Btw, is there an exact pattern for that turning when you dodged the lasers? I wanna try a no-hit run against Juno sometime in the future. No promise that I'll upload it though.

What I do, when he starts showing with the lasers, is make sure I'm far enough away from him, hold left+up going northwest and rotating to the right with the R1 button.

There's one at 1:38 right before he died the first time. which I think may not have effected Megaman because he was defeated already.

Then 2:23 when he does his ultimate attack, I think you can see his second strike touch Megaman.

Well I for some reason only have infinite homing missiles on hard mode, so I beat Juno with those since I didn't feel like upgrading the laser. It was still a little hard for some reason and the activee buster is full power. Also on easy/normal it's kinda funny just to hit the second form with the laser continuously, cuz he just goes "Arh Oh Gah Blah Uh Yar lol.

yeah it takes the fun out of the battle. usualy i just  take off all my upgrades and try beating him. the buster max cheat really isnt much unless you are in a hurry to beat the game.

you do know that there is a more stonger weapon then te shining laser. what sucks is that you have to use a pelican codebreaker. it has the same name as buster max, but looks like lightning fast squares flying out. it can take out juno with 10 hits.

the missles didnt pose much trouble its usually when its combined with the laser and bombs cuz i would dodge the lasers and they would like loop d loop on me and strike me from above and if i dodge one the other gets me

c mon every1 juno was nothing compared to Bruno in old city, he was a pain with his homing everything and unable to gain grounds for more than 2 seconds and him destroying every building u jump on or use as a shield

This boss is easy to beat with no Special Weapons. You just have to know the mechanics of the game.

Plus this was Hard Mode, so you have to be a bit more careful in Juno's second form. He's a little faster than before.

lol, try and learning to dodge roll early on. You will need it for this battle. Remember to time your jumps with most bosses. The Shining Laser is a hard weapon to obtain. You need to do a lot of side excavating and minigames.

It as called the Shining Laser. It's a powerful weapon, but very tedious to make.

My buster was rapid because I maxed out rapid rather than attack.

It is called the Shining Laser. It is a very powerful weapon when fully enhanced (mine isn't as you can see in the video).

Gettting the items for the Shining Laser is a pain in the ass, but it is worth it.

The Hardest Mission in Hard Mode was the one where you had to defend the City. First there was the Southern Part, and then there was the City Hall.
