ive never had any beetles though my guess is that would be the worst thing but I have had my fair share of green cigars and it is HORRENDOUS and incredibly frustrating :(
Question: WHAT DO YOU DO with your Humidor after clearing the mouldy cigars? do you throw it away aswell? or clean it with some chemical or something?
it porbably was not mold. Mold is typically green/blue and smudges when brushed. What was probably on that cigar was mineral trace which usually occurs when someone uses tap water instead of distilled water. You can actually still smoke them, but it may have a slight metallic taste.
@krssnoop I hope your not talking about little white specs that can occur on aging cigars, because that is just "bloom" and its just the oils of the cigar rising to the surface and is in fact a sign of a nicely aged cigar.
@sprjcube no I dont mean that, I know what bloom is. the white mold that I have spotted before was hairy, I unknowingly spilt water on a box and a few months later it started to spread.
Are u crazy? You don't throw cigars with white mold out. You take a q-tip and dip it in white distilled vinegar and clean the white mold with it. The mold dies and cigars do not absorb the flavor or smell of white vinegar. White mold does not damage cigars.
I found a small amount of greenish colored mold in my humidor, how do I clean the mold out?

Use white vinegar to clean and kill any mold spores. There is a difference between the mineral residue bloom (looks like felt) and white mold.
