@foxyroxie02 - A BM wears a suit (preachers, Steve Harvey, Michael Eric Dyson, etc.) & BW think these men are the sole representatives of BM. What privilege do BM have? There are more BW than BM in population, more BW are college educated, and more BW work in corporate America, but you turn around and say BM are privileged? False! Hell, I'm in graduate school and there's like 8 BW for every BM. If BM aren't in colleges and have large #s in jail, point specifically to the "privilege."

You just can't repeat baseless chants and think I'm going to be impressed, or act cowardly because a large # of women are saying it...it means nothing to me. Many sisters don't think much of BM from the start, so the idea that you are a BM that's actually about your business runs opposite of what their disgruntled mothers and girlfriends have said.

Why does a black man man feel as if he can't take a black woman with him when he's at or on his way to the top? A lot of BW no a days tend to down their BM either in public or to others. The perpetuation of black women having baggage comes from the mindset that black PEOPLE worldwide are associated w/ negative characteristics. For example turn on the news there are negative stories about crime, drugs, STDs, and even bedbugs. Some blacks and whites believe this. Men who believe sisters have an attitude/baggage must realize they are seen as baby making, pimping, deadbeats. I know most black men decent. Also there are black could stand more attitude to release some baggage.

There is no such thing as "All Black Women" have baggage, but these have been my issues thus far with dealing with some of the black women I have met. Financial issues, Mental instability, Baby daddy drama/ Having a deadbeat baby daddy (Dont have a baby with a bum), Too many kids or just plain bad manner kids, and finally just downright angry and or depressed. Wow can you point me to the ones who dont have the above listed problems.

i think, however to get out of this type of thought we need to embrace one another black men taking up time with the young black girl's and black women taking up time with the young black boy's education is only but a way of progression i believe that "baggage" stem's from these certain belief's. i think you cannot have a good relationship with someone if you don't forgive others who treated you badly because you will only hurt innocent one's talking and communicating will get you somewhere.

EVERYONE has baggage to a certain degree. My idea of baggage is mainly 'emotional baggage". Women who carry the pain of a bad relationship on to the next man. Men have also been hurt in relationships, but men are not as emotional as women. Men know how to submerge their emotions. This is not a 'black women thing." Fake hair, nails, makeup, all of these things are used to enhance our beauty! What I chose to wear doesnt define who i am.

I know plenty of black women who are not loud. They are really quite, non confrontational, very nice, are not attracted to thugs or guys with an edge. In fact they avoid these types of guys like the plague. These women range from gorgeous to st8 up ugly. They are all married. This all occured in Atlanta.

As a woman i am going to have an attitude, i am going to be loud, i am going to curse... but only when put in a situation where it calles me to get out my comfort zone. @ Candy... i too have an attitude with black men that leave the woman that has been by his side when all he had was a dream. I think the biggest problem men have with black women is that most act kinda ghetto and annoying, like you girls (not trying to be offensive). For example, you girls started with "it's yo gurl...heyyyyy".
